As part of my summer bucket list spray/splash park challenge we visited Spruce Grove's only water…read morefeature which is located at Central Park. The feature itself is small with only 2 water features but the biggest issue is the water was pumping through them so hard yesterday that it would have knocked my 3 year old off his feet or ripped off his skin - and I'm not kidding! The park itself is beautiful with many benches surrounding it making it the perfect spot to enjoy a mid day snack or lunch while taking in the beautiful park like setting. A small skate park is adjacent to this park as well as a historical site with a log cabin. We didn't check it out as my kids wer antsy to get back on the road and find a spray/splash park more suitable to them.

Also I would take an umbrella because after a little while I. Sunny days, it can be uncomfortable and make it hard to enjoy the experience. They rent paddle boards too which was pretty fun and I may do that again. Overall it's a good place and I'll definitely go back there again.

This place is so serene and peaceful. So romantic, I have newly discovered this place because of someone I recently met who appreciates little things like nature and serenity. The place is so beautiful I can't help but get in a lovey dovey mood whenever I'm here. It's so quiet and it's the perfect place for a quiet evening with a date or loved one. Sometimes we have the entire park to ourselves and don't see any humans for hours. And that is just PERFECT! It's a hidden gem, so close to the city of st albert and even a closer drive from edmonton. There are some beautiful paths along the lake for romantic walks at sunset. You could easily spend an hour or two here and forget how life can get get so crazy. A perfect way to slow down and spend time with someone on a intimate level or just to enjoy the beautiful scenery on you're own. Either way. This place is my new to go date place, and I just love going here. My other half got me hooked on this place and we have been going three times a week. A perfect place for a picnic or a drink or a walk. And luckily if u run out of food and have the munchies. The greenhouse is across the street for a perfect glass of wine or snack to end the perfect night out. It's those little things that make you appreciate nature and all its beauty. This place is captivating and I can't help but fall in love here!

This Stony Plain Rotary Spray Park is party of the Economic Action Plan which has given money to many communities to help improve community facilities. This spray park opened in 2012 according to the website: http://www.stonyplain.com/Town-Hall/Departments/Community-Services/Sports-and-Recreation/Stony-Plain-Rotary-Spray-Park.htm The park also features a new playground with rubber floor - oh how I love rubber floors at a spray park. Sand just makes a STICKY mess at spray parks. There are 2 outhouses by the ball fields and indoor washrooms what I was allowed to use without question at the accompanying Stony Plain Outdoor Pool. The ice cream truck popped by and there are lots of picnic tables with loads of shade. The water features are activated by buttons located throughout the spray park. There are numerous water features great for all ages including the piano you may be familiar with at the Castledowns spray park (if you are from Edmonton) and spinning features kids can interact with. This park is top notch for a smaller community and just as the website notes, I look forward to seeing what items are added upon and improved in the future. Families should be aware that there are no staff on site and there isn't a snack shack so bring some snacks and drinks or a picnic to make a day of it! We were there in the middle of the day and there were also quite a few mosquitos swarming me in the shade. Two big thumbs up Stony Plain - I will definitely be back!

I do go when it's a little quieter as my girl does like to play but can be reactive and dominate. There unfortunately, isn't a lot of availability and cost of private ones. She is more reactive on leash than without. It does have a little yard of agility equipment-- do be careful and look for sharp edges as some of it is left over wood and scrap metal. A lot of it is also kinda high. But my girl likes the smaller hoops and the tunnel. A-frame is too steep and high.

A separate park for smaller dogs - mowed, fenced and benches to relax in - tress for shade, it's an ideal spot. The larger dog off-leash area is also fenced, and connected to the small dog space so they can still see eachother and greet through the chainlink. There is 2-3x the room to run around for the larger dogs, but we ended up taking our beagles to the small-dog area so we could work on recall training without distraction of the other dogs making us run so far to get them back ;-) It was windy and the weather was spotty, but it was still a busy place with folks & dogs coming and going while we were there. Do bring some mosquito spray and a hat. Definitely a great spot to locate it right outside of an RV park, and near the main road. When in the area, we'll be back to visit.

Well I thought i picked up COVID here. Turns out my results came back negative but whatever I have…read moreI'm 100% sure I picked it up in this cesspool. Yeah masks are mandatory for about two seconds, after you pay it's a free for all. Definitely more than 50 riders when I was there majority of them children with no sense of personal space or hygiene, the parents equally oblivious to those as well, no rules about park etiquette anywhere to be seen for the children to learn. Sweaty kids breathing all over you. 1 bottle of hand sanitizer and I'm fairly sure it went sour. If I could give 0 stars I would. Not to mention none of the workers care to sweep the park leaving a nice and slippery layer of dust over the whole place. This isn't an indoor skate park more like a big babysitter for lazy parents. The owners happily taking money engaging in risky behaviour during these times not taking people's health into consideration. Quite sad what the outcome of this "indoor park" has become. If you are looking to get disgustingly sick this is the place for you!
