Breakfast is phenomenal. I got the mega breakfast. It's expensive really do it a lot. I'll at least get one more meal out of the leftovers I would've taken a picture, but I already finished my breakfast very fast service efficient I think just the right amount not too much.

We had to switch our mother's birthday indoors last minute and Juan's Chuck Wagon was able to accommodate our party. We were a fairly large party and felt so welcome! Food was terrific, service was top notch and they even provided waffle sundaes to our party to celebrate our mom's birthday! Will definitely consider their event space for future gatherings!

Chuck Wagon is a must go to authentic Waukegan staple. Especially for breakfast. The verde chilaquiles never disappoint and food is always made fresh. Go see for yourself and you can thank me later.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Excellent friendly service. Very inviting and cozy vibe. Not pretentious and condescending. The menu is your standard breakfast and lunch offerings. The quality of the food is outstanding. I had the skirt steak omelette. My wife had the ham and cheese omelette. Thumbs up! This place is a home run. You won't be disappointed. We will be back.

Waited almost an hour for our food before anyone even noticed, did not tell us why it took so long or own up to their mistake, did not offer a discount or anything. Used to be our favorite place but we will not be back. It's okay to make mistakes but don't avoid it just own up to it and offer your guest something to apologize. We saw 4 people that came in after us eat and leave before we even got our food. Our server was siting at the bar eating her own breakfast. And when we finally got our food that was clearly thrown together as quickly as possible, it was not as good as it usually would've been.

    Scratch made menudo, amazing flavor.

This place ought to have 1500 five star reviews for the work they put forth. Your glass never runs dry, your food comes fast, and prices are cheap. Juan knows what he's doing when making people feel happy with his menu. Great flavors, great diner atmosphere. I had the menudo and was impressed with its authenticity. Flavors are fresh and the owners are paying attention to the tasty details. My wife had the chorizo and eggs, came out with nice sides of refried beans and hashbrowns. The chorizo is well balanced, not too greasy and had great spice.

Ube pancake with the ube butter and coconut jelly was made just right. The Galbi topsilog was good. Very rich marinade, not what I like, but on this plate with the garlic rice it works. Drinks were good, the Ube matcha was good on sweetness and the Calamansi lemonade was on point. Customer service was very good, the guy behind the counter saw us looking at the menu and asked if we'd like to hear about the specials... and they checked on us although at the table even though it felt more like a self serve style diner. Overall, good spot to get a quick fix for Filipino food craving.

Came on a Thursday after lunch and it wasn't too busy. Ordered the Tocilog - which is sweet pork with a side of garlic fried rice, and an egg cooked any way you like. Also came with a side of noodles (pancit). Since I was here, decided to order some calamansi wings to go. And of course an ube milk tea. I really enjoyed my meal. The Tocino was a little different from what I'm used to. I'm used to a slab of pork pan fried with the fat fried to a slight crunch lol. I'm also used to tocino being red in color. I guess the tocino here is a little more leaner and no artificial colors - which works for me as I'm kinda allergic to red dye. But it tasted good, very flavorful. Loved the garlic rice as well. Pancit noodles were okay - could have used a little more seasoning but I could dig it Calamansi wings were low key fire. The crisp of the wings were perfection and the meat was not tough - still nice and juicy. I would get these again. They did have other flavors available that I need to come and try as well such as adobo and salt & pepper. Servers were nice and food came out pretty fast.

We visited for tea with some adults and children this weekend…read more The room near the patio is gorgeous (the inner room is more on the cozy side). We were quickly seated with a reservation and the tables were lovely - gorgeous wedgewood china (even for the kids!). Greeted with prosecco for adults and sparkling juice for the kids. Service was really friendly and helpful with tea selections. There are about 4 options for children if they want tea as well. Food was good and there was a tower for the kids (their the older child at our table wanted the adult sandwiches...). Plenty of sandwiches and sweets. The scone actually was the standout though - orange cranberry - very soft and delicious. Customary lemon curd, jelly and cream - delicious. All in all, this was a nice, fancy time for tea but there were some negatives namely: no one ever asked if we wanted more drinks (I would have had a glass of champagne but no one returned or asked - I could have flagged someone down but was surprised at this level of hotel that service wasn't so helpful). We also felt rushed - I would have stayed longer to enjoy but get they were cleaning up our table quickly. Instead, we brought some of the treats to go. While the staff was friendly, they weren't really there a lot - I saw some tables get asked if they wanted more sandwiches - but we did not... and it wasn't because we had kids at the table because I'd say at the time we went, more than 50% of the tables had kids with them. We did get a nice little to go gift of tea, chocolate and a tea strainer. I'm conflicted upon returning just due to feeling rushed.... I always go for tea once a year at least and I've been to every fancy hotel in the city (and other restaurants) for tea and multiple hotels in Europe (Ireland, England) and this was the most European feeling but really felt less relaxed even though the surroundings were gorgeous.

The food was great - had a chopped salad and the ribeye and both were amazing. The service was a little hit or miss. Very spotty until we got our food and then it seemed like one side of the table was being ignored and that included our host. Overall a nice dinner, but unless we were invited again, I wouldn't necessarily go back.

Very popular spot in Mellody Farm that can have a sizeable wait of over 30 minutes if you're…read morelooking for a large table, but the quality of the ingredients and dishes are worth it if you have some extra time to spare. Parking is fairly plentiful, though the entire shopping center is so busy you might not be able to park super close to the restaurant during normal meal hours. The decor is nice, with appropriate themes for a breakfast restaurant and the seating is comfortable. Service is not super fast, but not too slow for a spot that is this busy. The food is really the star here, in terms of the items offered and in the quality of ingredients, good textures, and design of the dishes. I was very pleased that every dish I tried was minimally very good, and flavorful. The burritofull morning sounds like a standard breakfast burrito, but the flat iron steak was spiced to perfection and tender. The mix of chorizo, roasted peppers, chipotle crema, and salsa verde were surprisingly not too salty and really helped to enhance the flavor of the steak. The crispy hash browns, onions, and chihuahua cheese helped to round out the remainder of this dish with some carbs and a bit of fat, resulting in a very enjoyable dish with nice crispy potatoes on the side. The chicken fried chicken skillet mixed a lot of flavorful elements without being too salty. The golden fried chicken is tender inside, with almost a crispy tempura style batter and is mixed with honey smoked bacon, sausage, and griddled country ham. The bell peppers, and onion add a nice sweetness and extra aroma to the dish. This is topped off with a fairly light sausage gravy, cheddar, and jack cheeses. The potatoes matched well with the gravy, but also helped to absorb some of the fat from the meats. The overall combination was delicious and something I'd definitely order again. The banoffee pie pancakes were some of the best pancakes I've had in the last year. Light and super fluffy is not an understatement. Topped with bananas and lots of chocolate chips and chocolate curls, this is intense without being overly sweet or indulgent. The toffee sauce lightly blends in with the other ingredients and the graham cracker crumbles add a nice, almost banana pie feel to the dish. Highly recommended as a very balanced and delicious option. The corned beef hash and eggs may have been one of the best dishes to show off pure ingredient quality. This is house-made corned beef that is extremely tender and not too salty. A simple mix of green peppers, red peppers, and onions really allow the meat quality to shine without distraction, with crispy potatoes to add a bit of starch to the dish. The tres leches french toast was masterfully done, eggy, thick, with just the right level of firmness. The coconut flakes were an amazing combination with the milks, and cinnamon whipped cream, hazelnut syrup, and coconut cream elevated the flavors without making the entire dish too sweet. My only comment is that compared to other items on the menu, the serving of this felt a bit small for the price. The lil'bit of chicken fried is not your average chicken sandwich. This is quality throughout the entire dish from the buttered brioche down to the perfectly cooked chicken. The biggest surprise for me is the pickles, which have the perfect texture and level of acid. This goes great with the sweet potato fries which are lightly crisp and quite flavorful. Overall, this place gets busy and the prices are a bit higher than other competitors in the area. But the quality of the cooking here makes it worth the wait.

First off, they give you a free biscuit on Tuesdays, so leave room for that. I ordered the griddled ham and cheese crepe, and it's one of the most delicious breakfast items I think I've ever had. The ham is a tiny bit sweet, which balances out the richness of the Gruyère and hollandaise nicely. It's also huge-two giant crepes as big as my head! I finished one and took the other one home-it heated up really nicely. I also ordered the apple/gouda chicken sausage. The flavor was good, though a tiny bit on the dry side (which tends to happen with chicken sausage). I ordered the cookie butter latte as well, delicious and not too sweet. Service was good, even though they were pretty busy when they were there. Prices are good too, especially for how much food you get. One note: they don't take reservations, so be prepared for a wait, especially on the weekends.
