Visited this week for lunch with a group of 4 other friends. We were all in town for a wedding and found this place for a late lunch on a Friday and there were not many other people there at that time. Coincidentally, the bride and groom chose the same place for a large gathering with wedding attendees that evening so we went twice in one day! In the evening, the place was packed with a great energy. Sharing pictures with this review of our lunch which we enjoyed quite a bit.
It's a large restaurant with a good vibe and really excellent service. This had no impact on our overall service but for those curious, our server was able to communicate with us with limited English (which we were thankful for!) but all other waitstaff (that we encountered) were Spanish speaking only. They had menus in both Spanish and English. We tried some local and unique (to us) dishes such as fish tacos with bone marrow, and guacamole with grasshoppers! We enjoyed our meal and the drinks were all excellent, including the mezcal.
One difference we noticed was that the quality of everything was just slightly different from lunch to the evening and we assumed it was because of the large number of people there at night. The prices were reasonable (about 3000 pesos for our meal which also included water and mezcal shots not shown in pictures), and in line with other local restaurants. I'd recommend checking them out if you are in the area. read more
