Second time for this location. Clean chicken is good but they charge extra for salsa really??

My boyfriend picked up two chickens to go. I had to say this was delicious. It came with some rice and beans and other little condiments. I like chicken cooked like this, not dry, juicy and flavorful. The location of this place may be a bit questionable, but thats where you find good stuff. I would come back to this place if i was in the area for a quick lunch. Oh they need bigger chickens by the way. read more

Crazy chicken? I think not! With all the exploring I've been doin out here in Corona, I finally gave in to trying Juan's delicioso chicken. Delicious, it is. For me El pollo has always been hit or miss. Sometimes, I get nice juicy pieces cooked to perfection and then at other times, I'm let down by a dry and overcooked hen. I've been to Juan Pollo a couple times now and every single time it's been cooked to great perfection(in a rotisserie kind of way). Grab that drumstick and the meat just falls right off. Skin has just the right flavor. Oh and might I add, their rice and salsa is off the hook. The rice has bits of chicken in it as well. I presume it's cooked with a hint of chicken broth. Omgoodness, the staff is not nice or they were having a bad day. However, we ordered take out and the chicken was really bad. Chicken was super dry! It was like skin on bones. Most definitely will never, ever come back here! Very disappointed! read more

After a bad experience at El Pollo Loco, we decided to try Juan Pollo. It fell short! Chicken was just ok, nothing to do back flips for, rice was clumpy and had absolutely no flavor, potato salad was also just ok all though my kids hated it, beans were actually good, and tortillas were nice and soft. There's a lot of hype on how good Juan Pollo is, maybe it's just this location, but honestly I wouldn't go back, plus customer service here was seriously lacking life lol, girls seemed like they hated their jobs! I'm giving two stars instead of one because at least the chicken wasn't dry and rubbery like the other place I mentioned!! read more

I've been coming to this location since it's the only one near me. I Discovered it because of the flower shop next door and the AA is across the street lol Anyways I would probably say it's way better than Pollo loco only because they keep their menu simple. The taste is better and I bet you'll be hooked on the flavor they got. This is what I usually get if it's the lunch hour.. They have a 1 pound burrito, which I can barely finish filled with fresh rice and beans, shredded chicken, lettuce and cheese if you want it. If I get dinner to go, They have a meal which consists of two-three chicken pieces such as the breast. I also choose a side of beans and rice and corn tortillas. I'll also take a side of potato salad. They have horchata but not Aguas Frescas Horchata.. The service is always good here. This is what I like, plain and simple. Juan Pollo will always have a spot in my heart. Haha... I come here often and have been to many others as well. Be far this is the best and most cleanest. The staff are always accommodating and really want you to be satisfied with your meal. I believe this location has recently been taken over by a new owner and the changes made have been good. The food is good but the service was terrible!! I was there on a Sunday, the customer in front of me got her food and she realized her tacos had cheese.. When she asked if they could change them they said 'No, you need to to pay again' with no apology or anything. Well was at Juan pollo on 6th st in corona after waiting in line for a good 20nins and and service was horrible the order a large side of potato salad serving it to my family we all started to sit to eat and the potato salad was spoiled so I throw it in the trash I call the manager to tell her not to serve this to customer and that I just wanted my money for just the salad said had to bring all the salad back I'm not going through the trash well just feel sick to my stomach read more

After all of the raves, I decided to try it out. Bottomline: Nothing to write home about. A. Facility was poor... very typical of food businesses in a "not so good area". Visit this area at your own risk after dark. B. They don't have spoons or forks, they have "spoonorks". What are we, back in elementary school? C. Order comes with one (1) medium size salsa ONLY. Ask for another one and you'll get a "it's 50 cents more" response. Definitley NOT a place for you if you like lots of salsa and like it WET. D. The flavor was NOT "Mind BLOWing", I didn't have a religious moment when I bit into it once, twice, etc... where are some of you other reviewers coming up with this crap? Food is great for the price but I ordered 2 1 pound burritos, one with extra salsa on the side. It should have been 3 salsas in total. I was charged for the one extra salsa (.50 cents). I get home and there is only 2 salsas. If you charge me for something I expect to receive it. I will admit the girls there were different than the usual woman working there who is always friendly and accurate with her orders and transactions. Honestly worst service possible been having to wait the past month 15-20+ minutes for an order. My experience lately with the food has not been great. Just in the past month the Chicken has been coming out burnt/dry or still bloody..I was a regular Weds and Friday nights staying off Green River. I have always received fresh cooked chicken and great sides. Burnt beans, 3 day old salsas, yellow potato salad and now I'm hearing about the PRECOOKED CHICKEN THROUGH THE EMPLOYEES THAT GETS STORED FOR 3 DAYS AND STILL SERVED...WTF!!! Review for New Years Eve: So I call in around 4:30ish 5pm. Asking them what time do they close for the holiday. They closed at 6pm. We arrived at 5:20 the cashier than says they can't take any more orders! I'm like really this is BS! She than says they need to get their phone orders and it's a come first come serve kinda thing. Since they were running out of chicken. So we asked how many people are in front of us waiting, she says 2. So we were cool with that. We literally waited 25mins for a answer if we can order chicken or not. We got So lucky we got the ones from the rack that were roasting. I mean fresh outta the oven. People kept going in and the excellent cashier kept her cool with the customers saying Sorry there's No more chicken. Just (FYI) they should had put a sign Up next time saying No more Chicken for the night. Since we waited for 45mins they gave everyone Free Drinks (any) soda which was excellent for waiting so long. We Love this place for Great Customer Service and Food is oh so Great! Potato salad, We always order a Larger size. Oh one last thing that even made a Mexican desert called buñuelos ( I hope I spelled that right) it's a fried tortilla covered in cinnamon and sugar. Like a churro. Okay, now that is twice in two days that my wife made me go get Juan Pollo. I have to agree that it is better than the other competitor. It is alright and the only reason I would give it and extra star to 4 star, is because it is a less expensive alternative to the bigger chain and the chicken is not dry. You can Never go wrong coming here! You can walk in and walkout in less than 5min with dinner in hand for 4. Their chicken is so moist! There's a delicious sticky film on the chicken from their rotisserie methods. IT'S SO GOOD!. Their tortilla and rice are yummy too. The ONLY complaint I have is their potato salad. ...No Bueno. Had the food here a month ago but barely reviewing now. My friend raved about the wonderful chicken here. It was one of the most bland and dry chickens I've ever tasted. Could've been a hit or miss kind of deal or the kitchen stuck to the old rule, first in...first out. Wish I would've gotten a moist chicken. This place is THE BEST chicken you can find around. If your a fan of El Pollo Loco you must try Juan Pollo. Its WAY cheaper and you get a lot more food. For the priceof 7.00 bucks you get a half chicken/3 torts/soda/salsa/3 sides. It tastes great and like I said... the price is wonderful!
