I've flown with JSX umpteen times as Vegas is my home airport. JSX is what I wish flying was at main airports - quick check-in, no people's first day on Earth, not having to arrive 3+ hours early for security theater, no rat race. If JSX flies there from Vegas, I'm almost always taking JSX instead of a larger airline. If they add Chicago and NYC to a Vegas route I'd be in heaven. The Vegas lounge is better than all the various JSX ones I've visited in California and Texas. It seems like they're constantly upgrading the seating, decor and complimentary snack choices. Is it Centurion lounge level food or drinks? No, but you're also not needing to sit there for hours before take off. Luggage pickup is a breeze. Staff has always been courteous. Security is quick and efficient. I LOVE flying JSX. Latest visit: April 2026
JSX is a no hassle experience. Super easy to get to their hanger, they have valet, and the check-in takes about 5 minutes. Super nice employees work both at the terminal and plane. No frills service at the terminal, free coffee, water and light snacks while you can also enjoy free soft drinks including alcohol while on your flight. Easy process and we showed up 15 minutes before we boarded. A lot better than 2 hours before. .
I'm always happy to fly to Vegas on JSX and enjoy the ride. The flight attendant is super phenomenal and I wish I remembered her name. She's so bubbly and effervescent just like the Prosecco I was sipping! It's a semi private airline and not that expensive and you can relax and enjoy the flight with complimentary Wi-Fi thanks to Starlink. Amazing experience!!
I've been flying JSX for a number of years, ever since their fledgling days as a unique semi-private airline. I've only flown their Burbank-Las Vegas route, a very popular one. Yelp also has a JSX Burbank site, so I have a review there for the Burbank terminal/hangar as well as the airline itself. I'll just post about the Las Vegas terminal/hangar here. We all know JSX flies out of their own terminal/hangar, thus avoiding TSA. They recommend you arrive 20-30 minutes before your departure time. I personally wouldn't cut it that close in Vegas. JSX has grown quickly over the years, increasing their number of flights as well as destinations. Las Vegas is clearly one of their most popular destinations, perhaps even a "hub". This was evidenced at my most recent visit. Flights were departing every half hour to various locales. The lounge/waiting area was quite crowded, even though I noticed it has been refreshed with increased seating since my last visit. This was the first time I saw a sizable line for check-in. causing agents to call first for passengers booked on the next flight to board. Boarding begins 15 minutes before flight departure. The boarding lane was reconfigured to be a greater length than in the past. This was also the first time I noticed several dogs flying. JSX clearly does not require pets to be service or emotional-support animals. There is a new (since I was last here 8 months ago) outdoor pet relief/ waiting area with faux grass and poop bags. There was one large (quiet and cooperative) dog on my flight; the seat next to his human was empty, so he had enough floor space. I don't know if JSX requires purchasing a seat for larger pets. The waiting area has complimentary snacks and beverages (coffees, tea, flavoured water), plus vending machines with more variety to eat/drink. The road into the terminal has become more restricted and congested, what with people trying to valet park, rideshare pick-up/drop-off, and rental car pick-up/drop-off. The main niggle with JSX has been its men's room. There's only one stall and almost always a line. Plus one sink didn't work. The hangar has been remodeled at least once; I think the old restroom (as well as the one in the temporary terminal shared with a helicopter company used during the remodel) had more than one stall. Note that when you arrive in Vegas, you are asked to remain seated until they unload the luggage, which you collect plane-side and shlep into the terminal yourself. At Burbank, the luggage is brought into the terminal. Despite its growing pains and increasing costs, JSX remains an easier and more enjoyable way to fly, at least from Burbank to/from Las Vegas.
Vegas to LA flight - this one is bigger and better looking than their facility in LA and much busier as well but the staffs are very friendly & helpful as always! Boarding into the flight was a breeze and the journey back to LA was as smooth as it can be with in-flight snacks & drinks! Only thing I'd like to bring to their attention is this facility only has 1 small men's restroom with an average over 100 passengers there every day.
It was good. I think they could improve on a few things but overall they do a pretty good job. Our flight from LAS-RNO was delayed but it was due to the previoius flight being delayed so, I get it. It happens. It's vey nice to avoid long lines, at TSA and have a quiet, enjoyable wait in their lounge like waiting area. There are snacks and drinks that are complimentary and they have some higher end options in a vending machine. The best thing about flying JSX is that you can go thru their own personal security line, then, after a short walk through the hangar and outside to the aircraft, walk up the steps and into the aircraft for your flight. Free drinks and snacks on the plane top off the experience
private jsx terminal which can get busy during peak hours. although the jsx wants you there 20 mins before boarding, the waiting area can get saturated with people waiting longer for flights. get here with enough time to pad. this hangar is not air conditioned which is something to keep in mind for the summer. jsx staff is great and efficient with processing all before boarding!
Here was Michael the "supervisor" sending me an email today and my follow up after: this guy try's to protect the staff even though they were the reason for the mistake. Dear Mr. Drenk, On August 23, 2025, at Las Vegas for Flight XE 302 to Orange County, you were unable to board after it was determined you did not present the required Real ID or acceptable government-issued identification. The federal Real ID requirement took effect on May 7, 2025, and is outlined in our Contract of Carriage, on our website, and during the check-in process. Your flight has been fully refunded. We also want to acknowledge that the interaction became tense. While we understand travel interruptions can be frustrating, we kindly ask that all communication with our crewmembers remain respectful. Attempting to photograph staff credentials and raising your voice created an uncomfortable situation for our team, and we must stress that this type of conduct cannot continue. This message will serve as a formal warning. Future incidents of this nature may result in denial of travel on JSX. We value your business and hope to welcome you on board again under better circumstances. Michael Customer Support JSX My response: Michael - how about you take ownership of your horrible customer service. Your team members checked myself and my spouse Delaney De La Torre in with our ID's! The flight was delayed and we sat there until boarding at which point (45 min later due to the delays) we were instructed last min that the ID your staff checked us in with was not sufficient. They took our luggage and gave us boarding passes with the very same ID we were denied boarding with. Later that same day my friends 17 year old son was allowed boarding on your 1:00 flight with NO ID what so ever. I'd love to know how that makes any sense. He was an unsupervised minor with no ID yet Delaney had her CA DMV drivers license and her CA DMV mobile app as well as a photo of her Passport. Your staff was rude, condescending and laughing which escalated the situation. I feel your email is a lack of responsibility on your part and now I see why your staff acts the way they do. His response once again taking ZERO ownership of wasting our time after checking us in (with the non real ID) and making us wait 45 min to only deny us at boarding after a 45 min delay: Dear Robert, We understand your frustration with how the situation unfolded. To clarify, we must comply with TSA and FAA regulations, which since May 7, 2025 require all adult customers to present a Real ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative (such as a passport) in order to travel. Verification occurs at both check-in and boarding, and without compliant ID we are unable to permit travel. Per federal law, customers under 18 are not required to present identification when traveling. In addition, we remind our customers of this requirement in confirmation emails, and it is also stated on our website. Your concerns regarding staff demeanor have been noted. We flew out of OC to Vegas and now we're on our way back home. The Vegas JSX is far superior to OC. From our drop off to our boarding, staff and service were phenomenal: the kind man who was handling our bags for us from uber drop off directly to check in (he didn't let us lift a finger), the lovely woman that checked us in, who was so sweet and helped us get on an earlier flight out. The ladies who scanned our tickets, also very polite and friendly. Literally, everyone had a smile on their face and went above and beyond to make things easy for us. The whole experience was pleasant and efficient. Regarding the facility, it is spacious, clean and well maintained. It's a significantly larger space than the OC waiting room and the seating is much more plentiful, comfortable and new. The aircraft on this leg was also newer, which was nice. We look forward to booking with JSX for our future flights! Hoping they expand their service areas.
My first time flying JSX from Las Vegas to Orange County. When our original Southwest flight delay kept getting longer, we started looking at other airlines to get us to our destination for a time-sensitive event. My husband brought up JSX and we were able to get a flight time that matched what we needed. We got to the terminal (which is located across the street from the Mandalay Bay) about 30 minutes before our flight time. Check in process was easy. Bags are manually scanned with some little device and passing through metal detectors. I wish it was a bit safer than that to be honest! Boarding was quick and easy. I was surprised by how nice and comfortable the entire trip was. Drinks orders are taken before the plane takes off. Of course I was going to order a mimosa! High quality selection of snacks as well. Once we land, your luggage is taken off the plane first. As you de-board the plane, you can quickly grab your luggage and go. Overall, I was impressed with JSX and definitely plan on flying them again in the future!
Once you get a taste of JSX, it's going to be hard going back to normal commercial airlines! This is a busy JSX terminal because it's Vegas, but at least it's located conveniently near the strip. It takes only a short Uber/Lyft/Taxi/car service ride, or you could also walk from south strip resorts such as Mandalay Bay or Luxor. The Vegas terminal was very efficient, and check-in only took a couple of minutes. The check-in process involves a bag swab for explosives, tagging your checked bags, and printing out your boarding pass. You can literally show up as little as 20-30 minutes prior to your flight and still check your bags and board the plane. After check-in, you'll wait in the lounge until your flight is ready to board, which is usually 15-20 min prior to departure time. The "lounge" is just a big waiting room with couches, tables, and chairs. There are plenty of power outlets, free public wifi, and complimentary coffee/tea/water. The boarding process is super quick because each plane only has 30 seats and no overhead bins. They do have you remove large electronic items such as laptops and walk through a metal detector during boarding. They will also scan your boarding pass and check your ID. Typically, as soon as everyone has boarded, they're able to shut the doors, do a quick safety demo, and immediately take off. The planes are equipped with free Starlink wifi, so you're able to surf the web, stream video, or even upload photos to social media. In-flight service consists of complimentary drinks (soda/bottled water/beer/wine/liquor) and packaged snacks. Overall, I was highly impressed and recommend JSX!! It's definitely less stressful not having to walk through and wait in the main airport terminal, as well as having to hear everyone and their kids be super loud! Just wished they flew to more place from Vegas!!
First time flying and the process was excellent! Plan to arrive 20 min for the flight and check in at the counter where they hand you a receipt/ticket which is your boarding pass. There are non alcoholic drinks, snacks while you wait to board, once you board there are a variety of alcoholic/non alcoholic drink options. The flight was smooth, the service was friendly and would definitely recommend, my round trip flight from Las Vegas to Orange County was $580 but when you use a referral code RJ7Z78, you get $100 off

First time flying JSX yesterday to Vegas from Denver. Honestly, very underwhelmed. Plane was more dated than even the worst Frontier or Spirit flights I've been on, which says a lot. Carpet and seats were somewhat up to date, everything else needs major renovation. Plane smelled, musky, and seats were your standard coach seats with more legroom. However, due to the tube size of the plane, your legroom is on the narrow end as it bends in. For $500 one way, simply can't justify flying again. Will take United or American first class all day long. Bummed, was excited based on the website advertising. read more
WOW!!! This is SO much better and easier than going through TSA at Harry Reid Airport! Normally I fly Southwest or Delta, but this was my first time going through this private terminal and flying on JSX. My parents, my boyfriend and I flew out to Scottsdale, AZ (SCF) from Las Vegas to spend our birthday weekend there (my boyfriend and I's birthdays are just six days apart), and JSX's new nonstop service from Harry Reid to Scottsdale could not have started at a better time, in which this service was switched over from Phoenix (PHX). Unlike showing up two hours before your flight leaves in the main terminal, you get to show up 20-30 minutes before your JSX flight leaves and they valet your car for you. There is no TSA checkpoint here, folks - you just show up, check your bags, and wait in their lounge until it's time to board the plane. You do need to show your ID with your boarding pass and take all electronics out of your carry on, however. They had complimentary coffee and tea in their lounge, which was really good! I had myself a vanilla cappuccino prior to boarding and had another coffee on the plane. On the flight to Scottsdale, I sat in an emergency exit row, where I had ALL the legroom where I could stretch out all the way. The flight attendants to and back were super nice and made both flights super smooth and easy. Also included were free light snacks, such as tortilla chips and gummy bears. After flying JSX, I don't think I can go back to flying commercial ever again for the rest of my life. read more

I'm going to share a secret with you. Listen up now. And be judicious with who you decide to tell. Flying this "private jet" airline can be a very reasonably priced alternative to flying the larger commercial airlines. When Southwest had their shitstorm during Xmas 2022, I had tickets to get to Las Vegas, but of course, my flights were canceled. Other airlines were trying to pick up the slack so what was normally a $150 flight between LA and Las Vegas shot up to $1,000 or more. Not that it mattered because there were no seats available. As my trip was to start in less than 24 hours, I suddenly remembered the small semi-private jet companies that have begun offering flights at pretty reasonable prices for short hauls. I looked at JSX and was able to get a flight to Vegas for around $300, which given that I purchased it the SAME DAY and during the holidays, I was pretty happy with. I flew out of Burbank and was in Las Vegas in NO TIME. You get your luggage right outside of the plane - very easy. No baggage claim! The arrival area in Vegas is comfortable with plenty of places to charge a device and connect with whoever you need to before summoning a ride. And you're right next to Harry Reid airport, so your trip to the Strip will be the same quick ride. So simple. So civilized. if you've ever done the shuttle from LaGuardia to Chicago or DC - it's like that only on a smaller scale. When you're comparing prices for flights, it makes sense to include JSX in your search, just for pure ease and convenience. It's a time saver and you won't pay any checked bag fees either. Definitely recommend. And I will absolutely do it again! (OH - and you can get miles for Jet Blue or United by flying JSX!). read more
After flying jsx - how does one fly anything else? No busy airport. Small - but not too small- plane. Yummy snacks and free drinks! Yes. Please. I have flown Jsx a few times from Phoenix to Las Vegas and this is the only way I want to fly from now on. They are super dog friendly. The people watching is fantastic. Yes, there might be delays here and there but that is flying now. If there is a delay, jsx informs you in advance so no need to go to the private terminal any earlier than 30 mins before wheels up. Enjoyed the convenience of bypassing all the hassles of the TSA, crowd, distance and not to mentioned delays and cancellations of big airlines at large airports. The check-in was swift and the amenities at the boarding area were adequate. Nothing but compliment about the service and flight. The airport was about 10 to 15 minute Uber ride to most of the hotels on the Strip. Originally thought rent a car would be an issue, but glad to find out Caesars has Enterprise on site, so taking Uber to the Hotel worked perfectly. read more
What an experience. JSX is a perfect way to fly. Quick and convenient from wheels up to wheels down. Check in was a breeze and the staff was fast and efficient. The plane was on time and the flight crew were prepared and ready to please. Free drinks on board and just a wonderful pleasant experience. The seats were comfy, the flight attendant was nice and attentive and it was a quick flight from vegas to John Wayne airport: This really is the best way to travel if you can. Skip the long lines and the TSA experience, book with JSX and you'll wonder why you haven't flown them exclusively for years. read more

The second leg of my round trip flight on JSX. So if you are following me and have already read my Yelp review for JSX Oakland, you can skip this one. :) Las Vegas is one of their major hubs, if not the major hub. Quality/Quantity - Excellent. Quick, easy, smooth check-in. These are 30 passenger planes, so hard to get backed up, but they call and open all 3 check in stations when needed. Also, just roll them your carry on or luggage and they do the rest. It will be waiting for you when you walk off the plane. Smooth take off and landing. Plane: 30 Comfortable leather seats; single or double seats. Business class legroom. Power outlets at every row. Full flight attendant service. Complimentary gourmet snacks, beer, wine, and spirits. No overhead storage bins for a more spacious cabin. Valet parking for a fee. Atmosphere - Much larger than the Oakland JSX. Again, easy drop off and pickup Service - 5 stars, our plane was late and had difficulties. They updated us every 10-15 minutes via intercom, text, and email. Overall, the team was excellent, especially the flight attendant who was very accommodating. She was even better than the flight attendant from Oakland to LV. They service Oakland, Reno, and LA; all the places I visit often. Very limited flights, but expanding as we speak. They offer direct flights to the "local" places I visit, so I am happy. My carry on was waiting for me when I landed, taking less than a minute to grab my bag and go. Uber came directly to where we were, no need to walk through an entire airport. Pet friendly, I believe there is an extra charge so check their website. Price - $325 round trip. Approximately double what Southwest airlines charges, but worth it. Owner Suggestion - Congrats on all your success since 2016. This might be my new form of travel... Not happy to pay extra for seat assignments. I prefer that you just raise the price, which most of us are willing to pay versus feeling "nickled and dimed". You cater to more affluent customers, who are willing and able to pay the raised prices. Whereas many of us, affluent or not, do NOT like to see an extra tax/fee on our bill. Great Experience Flying on JSX Flying out from Vegas to Burbank California, I received a decent deal from JSX under $300 round trip. I fly a lot with Southwest but I wanted to check out JSX - it was really nice not to have to check in 24 hours prior to leaving. Facility is located off Las Vegas Blvd near the Helicopter Port - (it's a private hanger for JSX) Checking in is a breeze, its not the whole TSA hassle, you go to the desk, show ID, they take your bag (checking it with a wipe) if you have a carry on the wipe that too. The waiting area is open and spacious with comfortable seating, free coffee, tea & water. Boarding is also a breeze - (there's only 30 people per flight) so basically you scan your ticket and walk to the plane. Seating is comfortable, not super fancy (your not flying on Bronco Mars's Lear Jet so if you think your going to be in a recliner that's not the case). The rows are one seat aisle and two seats, you have plenty of leg room - if you bring a carry on it will have to go under the seat. If your flying with small Luggage you will have to check that in, there's no overhead storage on the plane. After boarding the attendant will take your drink order (all drinks are free) , once your up to cruising level your drink will arrive. They also have excellent snacks, nut's, chips, protein stuff all excellent. Things to note: you don't have to arrive 2 hours early or any of that typical airport hassle, just show up 30 minutes before your flight and your good to go. They provide Valet parking (I used Lyft) The flight takes off on time - no delay, private entrance to the runway for take off. When you arrive at your destination they unload your luggage first then you will exit and your luggage will be waiting as you enter into their private hanger. Note: the locations on these destinations were both away from the main Airport - so its easy for pick up and quick exit. Final thought - for the extra price, you don't have to deal with the airport TSA lines, free drinks - plenty of leg room, private hanger and great personal service - its good deal but again a little bit pricey, I'll be back for sure read more

Are there rental cars available?
So technically yes. They partner with Go Rentals, but from reading the reviews, they seem to stick you with mileage fees that may or may not be hidden. So we've always got a ride share to enterprise or Hertz.
Are their taxis/ubers/Lyfts waiting when you arrive? I prefer a taxi to take me to my hotel.
It is better to call when you are ready as there are many plenty of taxis, ubers and Lyfts dropping customers off. The wait time is less than 10 minutes if not shorter.
Is there any food service at the Las Vegas terminal?
Is there air conditioning in the Vegas JSX terminal? Will be traveling with baby and dog
Yes it is air conditioned with plenty of seating & you will be out of your car and into the facility in less than 30 seconds Then be at your waiting area…
