They worked late into the night to stay on the timeline they had given us. I was nervous about our cabinets and flooring staying in tact while they worked around them. But they did a fantastic job making sure nothing was damaged and they cleaned up the job site each day. It's hard to find a contractor that does quality work, stays on time, and communicates well. And Justin and his team checks all these boxes. Their prices are also fair for the work at hand. I would highly recommend them.

I requested hard wood to replace the damaged sections. Miguel measured and took extensive pictures. To avoid the cost of replacing two entire door frames, he offered to cut out the damaged parts and fashion replacement parts by hand. Same for the baseboards as nothing 'ready-made' from Home Depot even came close. Two days later they showed up loaded for bear. A large power table saw mitre saw, power sanders a bunch of other tools AND one mahogany plank. What I thought was a fairly simple job was actually quite complicated. They did a fantastic job! Miguel is a licensed contractor with much skill and experience. I was looking for a handyman, but got lucky and got a pro! Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Other bottom line - wife was really happy with the work.

I'd like to clarify the contractor's assumption that "modifications" we made to the bathroom caused…read morethe leak. The only change made after his work was installing a standard shower door on a walk-in shower -- something any homeowner would reasonably need in order to actually use the shower. Expecting a family to shower without a door is unrealistic. A shower door is a simple surface-level addition and has no impact on plumbing, waterproofing, or the behind-the-wall work that later failed. Multiple professionals have since confirmed that the leak originated inside the wall, not from anything we installed afterward. I'm adding this update so future customers are not misinformed by the business owner's assumptions. My original concerns remain the same.

Matt easily worked with us to expand the living and closet space in the Master Bedroom, renovated the bathrooms, created a new laundry area, installed new rain gutters, and did an excellent job creating an open concept kitchen/living room - all within our budget and timeframe! Matt always went above and beyond to communicate on progress, made awesome suggestions, and provided options for the overall design plan, flooring, tile, fixtures, paint, etc. That made it easy for us, provided a peace of mind that we knew we could trust his judgment. In addition, his positive vibe made it easy to communicate our ideas and vision - which he made it happen! Because of him, we were able to get the unit rented out immediately! Mahalo again, Matt! We will definitely refer our family and friends to you. Can't wait til the next project! ;) Note: I included both old/new photos to show the progress throughout the project.

Our experience with the company has led to significant financial and emotional hardship for our…read morefamily. We hired LNS in towards the end of July 2021, initially, everything was going well. The demolition and installation of the sink and shower plumbing went quickly. Then the emergency calls started. Emergencies at other sites, personal emergencies and soon acts-of-god type situations started to happen. Soon, it was the end of August, September, October, November, December, January and February with no follow up work being done. Lots of "guarantee the work will get done, will be there tomorrow." We confirmed the dates and times, rearranged our work schedules (even at times other family gatherings or events) and were met with no shows. We were kind, thoughtful, understanding of the situations happening. We gave ample time for Lloyd to come by and continue the work. Communication was kept open but it was very one-sided where we initiated contact and was met with, "totally forgot about this or something came up." There were no other staff in this company that apparently could cover the work. My family shouldn't have to suffer because your life is falling apart. Run your company better, have backup plans for your clients if you are unable to get the work done. Or...refund the money paid when you break your own contract. The bathroom is for my mom because the other bathroom has a tub and not a shower. She's fallen twice in the tub since her bathroom's been under construction for so long. When we moved to get the work done by someone else, drywall had to be redone and the 3 piece shower installation taken out and reinstalled. Why? Mold resistant drywall was not used in the shower area and there was no backing in the installed shower pieces. We also found the the size of the vanity and the faucet bought were wrong sizes. It's a 150 sq. ft. bathroom. Additional out-of-pocket expenses: Medicine cabinet, new faucet, sink pipes/plumbing, window, mold resistant drywall, vanity lights. These items were all included in the original scope of service. We were left with a demolished bathroom and key pieces to the renovation (that were already paid for in full) missing. We are pursuing legal options and working on documentation. All this work is a hassle. We haven't been able to reach Lloyd to get the refund. Fate had us connected to Well Built and the rest was history! We had a simple garage storage installation that turned out being not so simple at all. In fact, our neighbors all have it done but everyone said it was a nightmare. The neighbors who did it themselves said it took them many hours and multiple drill hole mistakes due to beam placement complications in the structure of the house. Neighbors who hired other contractors also took a long time since it was tricky to figure out. So when we were looking for professionals, we made sure to pick someone with good reviews. And I'm so glad we found Well Built. Mycah carefully took measurements and took all precautions into account prior to installing, and communicated every step of the way during the installation process. He has great workmanship and was even punctual with his appointment time. If anything, we were the ones that had to keep rescheduling with him but he was patient and friendly with us the entire way through. He charges honestly by the hour and is super easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Well Built for all of your handyman needs. Extremely professional manner and performance. We are so happy with his work and even saved his number in our phone!
