Justin and his team were reliable, hard working, and excellent at accomplishing the job at hand. From day one, Justin was extremely consistent with staying in touch and keeping me updated on the progress of the job, which was dry walling the ceiling in our kitchen and living room. They worked late into the night to stay on the timeline they had given us. I was nervous about our cabinets and flooring staying in tact while they worked around them. But they did a fantastic job making sure nothing was damaged and they cleaned up the job site each day. It's hard to find a contractor that does quality work, stays on time, and communicates well. And Justin and his team checks all these boxes. Their prices are also fair for the work at hand. I would highly recommend them. read more

Bottom line: Justin is a knowledgeable and hard working guy who does good work. If you've read my previous review for Justin, I had a mixed experience with him. I liked his work, but I felt that he was not dependable. For a contractor working on your house, you need both high quality and dependability. Justin has been working hard to change the perception of unreliability, and I give him credit for that. Out of the blue in Oct 2017, he contacted me with intention of making things right with me. I think second chances are important; after some consideration, I decided to give him another chance. He made the most of this opportunity. I had him come out to do some concrete work in my garage, and some painting. He apologized for not honoring his agreement with me previously and agreed to take care of the new work and also the work that he promised to complete last year. This job was patching up some eroded concrete and repainting the garage. He took great care in doing the job well. Justin's work again has been top notch and I was very happy with his results and his reasonable pricing. I'm glad he came to complete his work - I have other jobs around the house that could use some work, and I think I will use Justin to help us out again in the future. read more

Justin was a class act. When I realized the special order sink I had was a bit to big for my granite I called him up to see if he works on granite. Not only did he specialize on it he was able to come to my home that day on short notice so I wouldn't have to put in my old sink again and make the needed cuts. He even re-did on the plumbing himself and waited to ensure no leaks were going to occur. He did try to paint the pop-up drain I got but it didn't work out unfortunately but he still work till late to fix it all. after experiencing a huge nightmare with the last company i hired to remodel my bathroom, i left no stone unturned vetting the next company i hired to finish the job. i read all reviews i could find and i also checked with better business bureau. the job was done without a hitch. i explained to Justin what i wanted done. Justin explained to me in details about the job. he gave me a reasonable price and even gave me his honest opinion about a material (ugly tiles) i was going to use. this company is legit and wouldn't hesitate hiring them again or recommending them to anyone. read more

Justin installed my window unit AC, replaced my kitchen sink, and cut off some of my kitchen cabinets and granite countertop so that we could install a new range (the space for it was too tight thanks to the previous owners who made some very poor remodeling choices). I'm very happy with all the work he did. The kitchen looks great now and the AC is awesome... A cooler home is a better home ;) Justin seems like a guy who takes pride in what he does. He's good at what he does and the services he offers are very reasonably priced. The only reason why this is a four star review instead five is that he can be pretty flakey. He had to reschedule multiple times and there were a few occasions where he said he'd call but then didn't. However, I would still hire him again anytime. Justin is a great talker... He is for the most part easy to work with and flexible. His partner John is also easy going. Both are very skilled in their craft and their quality of workmanship is right on. I found Justin on yelp and after four quotes he gave us the best price for a bathroom remodel project. Well you get what you pay for with him. Again his end product is great and we are very happy with our bathroom. Our issue with him was his timeliness. To start with we had agreed that he would start work on a Monday he asked twice to move start date to the Wednesday. Once he started the job things were moving along quickly I quickly forgave the wait. But the next day he told us he would be here by 9 am and didn't show up until 11 am and the day after he didn't show up until almost 2 pm work was still not completed by the third day and they ended up coming back on Sunday afternoon and working pretty late they still had to come back once more finally half way through the week they showed. At this point we had become use to his "Hawaiian Time" and asked him if he our do the tile for the backslash in our kitchen we agreed on a price and date. My husband had taken off work to be home while Justin came to do the backslash well he never showed. He texted me a couple days later but at this point I lost my patience. If you have a timeline find another contractor. If your flexible and want a good price with good quality workmanship he is your guy. read more

I don't think I've ever given a bad review on Yelp--much prefer to celebrate good work rather than complain. But what Justin did to us was so egregious that I feel that we must warn others. On Friday 08/18/17 AM I told Justin that we have a straightforward project with a hard deadline of end of day Tuesday 08/22/17, before the tenant arrives on Wednesday morning. The original job scope was to hang a laundry room door, paint two bedrooms and a bathroom, connect plumbing for a vanity, and install a light fixture. Since Justin's quote was high, the next day I texted Justin with a reduced scope for the project: Just hang the door, paint the bathroom only, and install the vanity. Justin assured me that they could finish this by Tuesday afternoon. He said that he would come over at 7:30 AM on Monday before we left for work. When Justin did not show up Monday morning, I asked him via text to please let us know if he is not interested, so that we can figure out another way to meet our deadline. He texted that he was not feeling well and over slept; he offered to come by at 7:30 PM Monday. Another person, Scott, did come by at that time, and then a couple of hours later on Monday, Justin texted his revised quote for this reduced scope, and again assured me on the phone that they could still finish the job on Tuesday, before our tenant arrives on Wednesday. I asked Justin when they would arrive on Tuesday, as I would leave the door unlocked. Justin texted that Scott would be there by 10 AM and he would be there in the afternoon on Tuesday. On Tuesday, there was no response to my text and phone call at 3:45 PM inquiring about their progress. And when my wife and I returned home from work at 7 PM, I was amazed to see that Justin and Scott had done NOTHING. They did not even communicate with me to let me know that they would not be able to do what they had repeatedly said they would do. NOTHING. read more

Justin went above and beyond trying to find a similar flooring that we needed and within the day he was able to find something very similar that you would not have known the difference. Oahu remodeling did a great job installing a chain link fence for me. I had to order materials from somewhere else because the type of chain link I wanted wasn't available at the box stores here. When the materials came, they were not what Justin and Loy had planned on, but without waiting any time they made a new plan, and put up the fence. There was almost no time lost in the reorientation. We had a wonderful experience with Justin this past summer (2018). He did excellent work building a walk-in closet with mahogany shelving system, and a lot more. He is a real craftsman and he has very high standards for his work. He and his crew went above and beyond to help us fix up our house, and he rescued us on short notice (at night) with an unexpected plumbing issue. He was very generous with his time and resources. As a home owner (and home repair customer) for 20+ years in Hawaii, I doubt you will find a more kind and thoughtful person to work on your house. read more

Repeated calls to Justin has gone unanswered. The glass contractor is still waiting for Justin to pay for the door we already paid him for so they can order it. I just feel like he took advantage of us. I was completing chemo and was not up to chasing this guy down. But I have been in recovery and will not let up until he either finishes the job or reimburses us for the money he took. He needs to do the right thing, it has been 4 months now. Do not use Oahu Remodeling if your looking for professional, honest, and timely service! In the beginning everything was fine, he was slow, but I was patient. Now it's Feb going on March and the job that was started by Justin in Oct still isn't complete. He goes months without returning phone calls and text messages. Sad to say, I had to get the police involved to attempt to get my house key and garage opener back because I haven't heard from him. We will have to take him to court to have someone else finished the job. I typically don't do negative review (if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all); however, I would hate to have what's happening to me happen to someone else. read more

I had got into a car accident and took out someone's fence. I went on the hunt and so did the other party the people that they had wanted were gonna charge 3400!!!!!! I mean can you believe that!!!????!! Omgee no way how could I afford something like that I wanted to fix my damages not buy them a whole new fence, with Loy and Justin only 800!!!!!!! And Justin and Loy were there every step of the way from meeting with me on my best times, to getting the parts for the best prices and sending pictures and texts to keep me posted, they fixed the fence in 1 day! And the fence looks even better then before I CRASHED INTO IT. I contacted Justin to renovate my bathroom. He wanted upfront money to purchase materials and was given a check of 1500 dollars (half the cost of the renovation) which he cashed immediately. He promised to complete the work on Thursday at 1 pm and did not show up, after calling all afternoon he returned our call late that evening stating that he had car trouble. We asked him when he could complete the work that he had promised, he promised to be there at 8 am Friday morning and would be done with the job by 1030 am. Again Justin did not show up as promised, numerous calls and text were made to him in which he did not respond. After hours of numerous calls and text with no response from Justin, we contacted the cabinet store where he was supposed to purchase materials and they stated he never paid for the cabinets. We checked with our bank and they informed us the money had been taken out. The bank advised us to contact the police and we did. The police attempted to contact Justin several times while he was with us and received no response. I then posted the incident on Facebook in an attempt to make contact with him, after a few days he contacted us. We requested him to return our money, he stated it was the weekend and the bank was closed. We agreed to meet him Monday morning to return our money at 930 am. He rescheduled several time, but returned to money to us. We simply stated that we did not want to work with him again and do not want to be contacted by him in the future. Several days later he continuously calls and text stating that he was going to sue us for harassment. We were very patient and understanding with Justin throughout the entire process and in no way did we harass him. I would not recommend hiring this company or working with Justin. read more
