I bought an SUV from this lying pos. Nick charge me $2,500…read morefor a GMC suburban and promised it would pass smog. According to DMV regulations, The vehicle must pass smog before it is sold. So there is one law broken. Any past registration fees must be updated before a lien sale can take place according to DMV regulations. That was the second law Nick broke. So if Nick wants to do the right thing and come pick up this POS that he sold me illegally ... And reimburse me the $2,500 I paid for the truck and the $1,200 I have into the truck trying to get it to pass smog to get it registered ... Maybe I'll change my review. Otherwise I would recommend that nobody trust this company because the owner has absolutely no integrity and no morality at all. But your choices are all up to you and unfortunately I really liked the suburban that I bought but didn't think that I could get the exact same thing, for $1,000 less than I paid for this one ... And everything on the other one was current and would work and it would pass the smog test. So do what you want. But I will never go through Nick's towing again for anything. Q Unless Nick wants to do the right thing and make things right. And I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.

Be more professional fees up front. Don't wait until you have the tow on the truck. Also stick with your original quotes and communicate the delivery address with your driver. Definitely won't use them again. My advice pay $100 to a more professional towing service.

I called, the dispatcher, said she'd need to get a quote from her supervisor, then call me back. She called 10 minutes later with a quote for $195, sent me the invoice, and said she'd dispatch a driver. I paid the invoice, and did not hear back for almost 30 minutes. I called her back, she said the driver was on his way to pick up the lockout kit from their yard - across the street from the Pilot. Ten minutes later I get a call from their driver, he asked the year/make/model of my car, and said he'd be there in 10-15 minutes. Another 30 minutes goes by and I receive a call from their dispatch and she tells me her driver said he wouldn't be able to unlock my car because of the key fob being in the car - I told her this was the 2nd time I have done this, and it wasn't an issue last time. She once again said they couldn't do it, and her supervisor would need to be the one to issue me a refund because she couldn't - but was unaware of how long it would take to post back to my account. I called another tow truck company. The driver was there within 5 minutes, used the same lockout kit that was used before - with absolutely no damage to my car - and I was on my way within 20 minutes of my phone call to them. Also, for a third of the price! If you need ANY type of tow service in the Madera area, use Ron's!!! DO NOT USE THIS PRICE GOUGING COMPANY!!!

I have had to spend time dealing with the insurance claim, vehicle damage, and follow-ups while still trying to understand how this situation will be resolved. I'm sharing my experience because I believe customers should know what they may experience if something goes wrong. I hope Ride People will take this matter seriously and work toward a fair resolution.
