I'm going to be completely honest Pawan and JS Linens are amazing!!! We had originally looked at a different rental company in Modesto and it left a terrible taste in my mouth, purely the chauvinistic approach and condescending attitude. We then scheduled an appointment at JS Linens and the difference was immediate! Pawan is incredible and soooo soo sweet! We immediately decided to go with them for our wedding next May. The only thing I wanted that they didn't have was nicer wine glasses (we are a little bit of wino-s) and a round wood table for the cake. She ORDERED wine glasses checking with me if it's what I had in mind and liked them and then BUILT our cake table!! Seriously how awesome is that?! In the mean time my family has decided to use them for all wedding events. My momma-in-law used them for our engagement party! Everything went off without a hitch and we got to use the cake table! Seriously adorable!! :) And then my mom is using JS Linens for my Bridal Shower. You cannot go wrong with JS Linens and Pawan!! If you want stress free planning and someone who actually cares about your event DO NOT HIRE JS LINENS!! I made the mistake of hiring them for my wedding. At first they were very reassuring, but as it got closer to the event, the communication wasn't there and by this time it was already too late to try to find someone else. Every time I had a question it took them forever to respond and when they did finally respond there was always an excuse. "Sorry, we were sick." Or "Sorry, we were busy with a client." They are very unorganized. Three days before my wedding they asked which day the wedding was. Really?!?? It's been months and months since we started working with this company and we were very clear about our date from the very beginning. What really pissed me off was on the day of my wedding, Sam the owner of this company called, texted and even showed up minutes before the ceremony to collect the money for the linen rentals. He never sent me an invoice even though I've asked for it over and over again. He always gave me the same excuse, "I'll e-mail it by the end of this week." Which never happened. I got so fed up that I stopped dealing with them and had my husband try to work with them. My husband tried multiple times to get the invoice, but no luck. They gave him the same excuses. I have used JS Global Events in Merced, CA many times over the years. The biggest event they did was for my wedding. The decoration was exactly what I wanted. Sam works very hard to provided the best service for his client. You just tell him the budget you are working with and he will make it happen. Contrary to some of the other reviews I see her, he does not promise what he can't deliver. They honestly work hard for their customers and I believe they really deserve more than 5 star rating. I would recommend JS Global Events and their crew to anyone looking for small or a big event decoration. read more

We had a horrible experience with this company. They were hired for my brother's wedding and reception to provide decor, tableware, and waiters. They were very comforting prior to the wedding. However, on the day of the wedding, none of the tables were fully setup. Our own relatives had to scramble and get the tables finished before the guests arrived. The waiters never showed up either. We had to pay the caterers extra to take care of our guests. I repeatedly called the owner during the day and he did not answer my calls. All of the scrambling we had to do placed a lot of stress on us and we didn't get to enjoy the wedding to as much as we would've liked. The owner called me a few days later and said he had another event in Sacramento and was unable to attend ours and supervise. When I asked we he hadn't answered my calls, he said he lost his phone. Overall, they run a horrible company. They will break contract and ruin your event. Stay far away from this shady business. read more

Where do I begin? I really wish I had stuck to my gut and went with the reviews that I read before. They appear to be very professional and assuring that they will get everything done, however that is not the case. My husband and I had several meetings with them and made sure we had everything covered. They were also in charge of getting my wedding bouquet. When I received it, one day before the wedding, it was not at all what I had asked them to get for me. The bouquet had a large bowl in it that was holding the flowers which made the bouquet extremely heavy! I have never seen a bridal bouquet with a bowl in it? For my wedding at the gurdwara (temple) the decor was okay, however the waiters were horrible!!! AND there was no beverages provided...not even WATER! my brother had to rush to the nearest grocery store to get water and sodas, not once..but three times through out the wedding! you would think he would make his waiters or himself go again to get it and we could pay him back, but no. For the reception...After asking him over and over to show us an example of the centerpieces he finally did (about only 1 month before the wedding) and they were not nice at all, looked very cheap. Luckily we had not incorporated the centerpieces into our contract before, so we were able to hire another decorator for that. The day of the reception, my husband and I went to go check out the venue earlier in the day as they were setting up. The chair bows were all crooked and not tied right. I do not know who he has hired to help him with the decor, but obviously they are not professional decorators and just random people he found. My husband stayed at the venue for a few hours telling them where to put everything and how to do it all. The main guy, Sam, did not even show up till later in the day. During the reception, his waiters did not even serve our $900 cake. I feel like it was such a waste. My husband and I spent so long choosing flavors, and no one got to taste it. When we brought this up to him after the reception. His reply was "well someone should have gone and told them to serve" first of all, that is not our job, that is why we hired them. Second of all, my family members did go tell them about serving the cake several times, and they did not! The bartenders were shit as well. They could not make a simple drink, coke and crown!! My husband's cousins had to step in and bartend the rest of the night!!! We also ran out of cups half way through the event. Like I said, the waiters and bartenders that he has hired are not professionals, they are some random people he has hired and do not know what they are doing!! Such a horrible horrible experience!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM !!! spend the extra money on someone more professional and that actually knows what they are doing! They are my biggest regret!! Thanks to my husband and our centerpiece lady our reception looked beautiful, they had nothing to do with it except to provide linens. My husband should not have had to stress over the decor on our big day! that is so unfair. I wish I could go back and hire someone else, I would even pay DOUBLE the money.
