Called him with a problem around 6 pm and Jason said he'll be at my address in 1-1.5 hours. I texted him my location and waited for a confirmation. NOTHING. Called after 15 minutes to see if he got it. NOTHING. Tried to call again. PHONED WAS TURNED OFF. I said I'll wait 1.5 hours maybe he's working on another car. NOTHING. Called from other numbers. NOTHING. At this point I realized that he changed his mind and not planning on showing up. This is as lame and unprofessional as it gets. I was stuck at a parking lot for 3 hours until a tow trick showed up, since by time I gave up on this it was already 8:30 pm. I am somewhat relieved that I didn't get this guy to work on the car. Jason is the man! One of our chauffeurs had a serpentine belt break on the 405N, quick call to J's Garage and he was there within 30 Mins with a new serpentine belt. Unfortunately the starter stopped working as well - AAA towed the vehicle and had it fixed at his location. He was great, honest, and most importantly had my chauffeur on the road within a few hours. First off let me start by saying this guy some what knows about cars. I called JASON out for a diagnosis of my car because my car wouldn't start, when the car was running just fine the night before. He came out and scanned the car, his scanner showed a misfire in cylinder 3. That's it, no other code showed in his scanner. But I had a print out from last my code scan I got from pep boys, which read misfire cylinder 3 & low voltage 02 sensor(bank 2 sensor 2 ). JASON scanner did not pick up the 02 sensor code. So JASON said I think it's your fuel pump that has gone bad(not working). I said are you sure. He said I'm pretty sure that's the problem. So I took his word, and I went and bought a new fuel pump for JASON to install. Once he installed the pump he called me out to start the car up. When I went to start the car up, the car still would not start???????? So he said try again, and I did. Still the car did not start?????!. So then JASON looks around the car with a confused look on his face!??????! So he scans the car again. Same code pops up; misfire cylinder 3. So then I show JASON the pep boys paper of the code that came up on pep boy's scanner. JASON looks at the paper and says oh it must be the oxygen sensor(blank 2 sensor 2) that's keeping the car from starting. So I took his word and went and bought a rear oxygen sensor, he then installed the sensor. So, Again JASON says start the car up. I go to start the car, and still nothing(car wouldn't start)????? Then JASON again looks under the hood with a confused look on his face?????? JASON then says; oh you grab the wrong sensor?????! But by this time the local autozone was closed, so I had to wait till morning to exchange the sensor for the "so called" right sensor. When we all know a rear oxygen sensor will not cause any car not to start up???????!!! So JASON then say get the "so called" right sensor in the morning when autozone opens up, and we'll take it from there. I said okay that's a deal. Because at this point I'm still taking his word, him being the 5 star yelp mechanic and all. So anyways the morning time comes, and JASON texts my phone, not a phone call, but texted my phone and said hey(9:15am). I over slept that morning so I had missed the simple hey text. JASON then again texted again at 10:36am and said; hey I guess we're not doing the the job today????!!!!? By this time I was up and running and awake, on my way to exchange the sensor. I texted JASON and told him that. But at this point, JASON was texting back saying he all booked up in appointments for the day and was not going to be able to see me for the day because in his words "he's busy" and then JASON texts back that he will "get back to me"???! I said okay, I understand. So I waited about 4-5 hours for a reply back as to when my next appointment would be? JASON never replied back. JASON also wouldn't answer my calls or my texts. So I called JASON from another unknown number to see if JASON would pick up, And sure enough he answered. But once he found out it was me, he got real rude and disrespectful, and started yelling through the phone about how busy he is, and he does not have time to explain to me as to when my next appointment would be. JASON even used profanity words while saying all this to me!!!!! I was so frustrated at the lack of customer service, and lack of JASON knowledge for cars. That I told JASON I no longer need his services. JASON then replied back with even more rude disrespectful comments. JASON is so unprofessional and rude and does not really have under the hood mechanic skills that he claims!!!!!!!! LONG STORY SHORT................. BEAWARE OF THIS LOWLIFE wannabe mechanic. I spent about $300.00 bucks with this guy (JASON) and my car still won't start. OMG a total waste of time and money, I even miss a day of work because he took all night long doing nothing!!!!!!!!!!! ********You'll be better off going to a REAL mechanic shop. My 2006 Charger became stuck in park at my residence. I found J's Garage on Yelp and gave him a call. I told him the problem, and he knew about it right away and stated that happens all the time in the older Chargers. He told me that I needed to buy a replacement part from the dealership, and that it should only cost approximately $10. He then told me to call him the next day, after I have the part to schedule the appointment. I called him the next day, and he showed up a few hours later that same evening! It was after 5pm, but he showed up anyway. In less than 2 hours, my Charger was up and running, and it cost less than $100-including the replacement part! I think that's the cheapest I have ever spent on a broken down car. Just towing it alone would have cost me $100! I would definitely use him again, plus he had a sweet and adorable dog with him. read more
