My neighbor was outside a few months ago and ready to hike up the mountain. I noticed how much energy he had, and remembered a conversation about how his wife started going to this place, and that it was helping her EVERYTHING by balancing her hormones. When we were talking outside, I finally asked him for the information for this place. His wife called me, explained the structure of everything. She'd lost weight and was running circles around her husband! I went the route of first seeing my doctor, explaining reasons why I wanted to do what I wanted to do, just to be sure. Running around reading info online, the lab values definitely explained why I was feeling horrible because I had a major imbalance going on... but my western doc just blamed it all on the obvious without offering in depth analysis of the conclusions of all of the viariants in the puzzle that makes up my composition. While I just got everything today, all I have to say is my experience here, thus far, has been an impressive experience! Poorest customer service from Tianna at the front desk, or the dreaded "manager." As the manager, I do expect her to be more knowledgeable than to tell a customer to leave the office when they have questions about their payment and the services. She doesn't care about anything other than getting the patient's money. She has the worst attitude and could not take seriously any question that a patient might have. She continued responding in a way that was different from what I was asking when I first politely asked her. Despite the fact that I had an appointment that day, she became hostile and ordered me to leave when she realized I kept asking the same question. She is clueless about what CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. After that, I made an effort to cool down, followed her instructions, and finished my treatment. I then made an appointment for a later time. Then, I get a text message from her stating that she had canceled my appointment and that I would no longer be getting laser hair removal. Wow! I have never had such a horrible experience on the phone with anyone in my life. I had a bad feeling when I called to schedule an appointment and the Office Manager lady was super hot and cold, seemed like she was very moody. I paid several hundred dollars and when it was time for my appointment I had a hard time finding the location (there are several med spas in the area). She called and rudely told me I was supposed to be there. I called back to get the address and that's when she flipped out and started yelling at me. She was very upset and kept saying that she texted me the address and I confirmed. I explained that I couldn't find that text, she was so horrible that I told her she was being mean and needed to be kinder, I was lost at the wrong place and it was very stressful already and she yelled back that I needed to be kinder. It was like I was fighting with someone that hated me for some reason, it was the strangest experience. I kept asking to speak to anyone else and she refused and said the Dr would not call me back. Keep in mind they had my blood test results and I hadn't even seen them yet. I told her she was mean and I wasn't comfortable doing business with them and needed a refund. When my Husband called back to get my test of course she was super nice. This person has some kind of mental health issues and you are not allowed to speak to anyone else. I cannot imagine anyone thinking it's a good idea to have her speaking with their clients. I did not get to see the Dr but I'd be very nervous about anyone that can't see this or just doesn't care that clients are being treated this way. Do NOT go here. I wound up at E Med Spa off Jamacha and they were so kind and welcoming and had more services and saw me the same day. Looking at the reviews it seems like she has people do reviews that condone her behavior towards clients. I would be very concerned about reviews that may not be from actual customers. I decided I would treat my niece and I to Botox, which we've both had before. I'm not sure if they used old product or the vial wasn't mixed properly or the nurse wasn't proficient in where to inject, but neither of us had good results. I must say, when we called about the results the staff we quite pleasant and had us come back. Tiana, the office manager said she saw the areas were it wasn't effective and we both had touch ups. Before I tell you my story let me first say that as a Medical Office Manager recently retired, I was so impressed by the entire staff at Dr. J's MedSpa. Professionalism-check, Courtesy-check, Complete explanation of fees and procedures-check, as well as clean and comfortable environment. As I stated I am recently retired and have decided to make a few positive changes. I've always been a very active person (gym at least five times a week) but I was still feeling sluggish and having extreme difficulty losing weight. I knew my hormones were way out of whack, but honestly my GP just didn't seem to get it. After an incredibly thorough blood work up along with the most in-depth consultation, I had my hormones balanced, began a weight loss program along with a couple of "beautifying" procedures at Dr. J's. In response to Shiran's review of the Med Spa, I heard everything that day from when you were so incredibly rude to Tianna and the Spa Tech. First of all, you fail to mention in your review that you walked into the Spa obnoxiously on your phone and continued on your phone in the bathroom!! Gross! So you set the tone by being a jerk to the staff by not giving them the courtesy of your attention when they were trying to check you in. Your little trick of putting the laser tech down by condescendingly asking if she was new then proceeding to try and get free treatments didn't work and that made you mad. If you are such an expert in laser, then you know there is a limit to how many times the laser can travel over the same area, despite how much money you have and how hard of a worker you are. You were trying to get something for free, you wanted her to laser you twice in one appointment and when the tech wasn't giving in to your bullying, she got Tianna. You then started a very loud argument in the lobby and security was called on you because you were causing a scene. Then when that didn't work, you pulled the race card, very classy. You have no idea the cultural background of Tianna or the Spa Tech's family, personal life and relationships, or their outside affiliations. I know first hand that you were way off with your racial accusations. You must have forgot to mention that little bit in your review as well. I am an International Airline Pilot and I specifically bid San Diego (SAN) layovers so I can come to this Spa for my botox and laser. I have told numerous coworkers both Pilots and Flight Attendants about J's Med Spa as they are the best I have been to. As previous reviews mention over and over again, this spa is amazing. They are clean, respectful and extremely accommodating to my schedule. My main issue is I tend to get Spock eyebrows, but not here. They really know how to counter the Spock Eyebrow affect. My very first time getting botox and it wasn't the best outcome. The doctor said if I bought the recommended dosage he would make sure I could come back for a touch up if I wasn't happy. A couple weeks later I emailed him and told him my eyebrows looked weird ..kind of pointed up (like spock) and he immediately had the reception call and set me an appointment. He said its common. I went in again, its still not right, I emailed him again as I didn't think the botox was evenly distributed and sent him pictures and he never responded. I do want to try again, just not there. I don't recommend. It still looks awkward but now just need to see if another place will correct or if I have to wait it out. He might as well have a drive thru since that is how fast he works, makes sense that it wasn't right. read more

My testosterone injection didn't have much of an affect on me. I paid a decent amount of money for the injection, advised the office I was not satisfied. They had me re-do my blood panel (which is super expensive) and my levels were still low even after the $450 fee. When American Laser Centers went out of business, I was lucky enough to have these guys contact me and let me know they were offering the same services, and more! Because I had been a previous American Laser Centers patron, I already knew Bonny, Tianna and Dr. J well. They are always incredibly courteous, friendly, informative and helpful. For every single treatment I have received, my results have been off the charts great! I cannot believe someone gave them such a bad review, and I would have to say I find some of those statements hard to believe. For starters, I've received calls from both Bonnie and Tianna reminding me of appointments, and trust me, I've had PLENTY, I've also received calls ASKING me, never telling me, if I would like to come in early as a spot opened up, but if not, it's ok to keep my original appointment, I've done both. Both Bonny and Tianna are the sweetest, nicest people you will ever meet, not to mention incredibly knowledgeable! I have recommended these guys non stop to friends, and will continue to do so. They have state of the art equipment using the latest in laser technologies and other innovative skin treatments. I was referred here from two girlfriends that went here for laser hair removal. Both of them had fantastic results just after 4 treatments! Tianna, the office manager was so sweet and informative about the treatment process! We went over the areas I wanted to treat, and she put together a session package. I did (still am doing) 10 sessions for 3 areas at a very reasonable price, which is what really sold me. They work with your budget by allowing you to pay in installments. The nurses doing the laser are skilled and make you feel totally comfortable. I've never been burned or had an adverse reaction during any of my treatments. The spa uses the Gentle Max Pro and its so fast so you hardly feel anything. I have 95% hair loss, and the little hairs I have left are so fine and barely there, that its not noticeable at all. The spa itself is super pretty and welcoming inside! You definitely feel relaxed! Scheduling appointments are easy and they text you to remind you of your appointments. You can message back if you need to change your scheduled time which is convenient. What sets them apart from other spas is they don't try to up-sell you and make you feel pressured to buy more. I have been wanting to get another syringe of juvederm In my lips for a while but i was nervous because how painful it was the last time i went at a different place. I called to make an appointment same day because it was the only time i could and they squeezed me in (which i am forever grateful for) so i got there and they have a great lobby really peaceful like a spa/medspa should be. They brought me into a room prior to my injections and just informed me of the product and where it goes and how they perform it and this was already way more then the other place i went did. She then brought me into the room where I'd get my injection and they put the numbing cream on my lips and gave me a mirror so i could check my lips the whole time. By the time dr j came in to do my lips my lips were NUMB like so numb i didn't feel a thing. He began filling my lips and he stopped about 2/3's of the way through the syringe and i liked what i saw already he then told me i could save the syringe to come back in a few weeks for touch ups, then he safely packed my syringe and lableled it with my name and date and then showed me it ( which was so cool to me) then they put a product on my lips to reduce swelling. The whole process was great and this place does it the way it should be done. The only thing is after i left here it got me thinking how shady the other place was. Tianna T. Ruined this place for me. Dr Emery was great I would even go as far as to say he was perfect. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I needed an additional prescription after my visit because I was having side effects. The side effects are not fun at all . Tianna T. told me on Monday the 13th she would call in a prescription, she told me about the dosage twice and everything, I agreed to the dosage . I checked with my Rite Aid that evening and nothing. We played useless phone tag for days and during that time still no prescription available at my Rite Aid. Finally on Friday 10 AM the 25th she told me she would call it in again and text me, she went over the dosage at least twice with me again. Friday no prescription no text. Saturday no prescription, so i text her, no response. I checked again Saturday evening and no prescription. To make a long story short I ended up getting a hold of the Dr and got my prescription Monday at 10.17 AM . I really like Dr Emery so I wanted to see if i could find out what happen with the prescription in case i need something like that in the future so today I texted her and she said the Dr has been busy. I asked if only the Dr calls them in or do you also. She responded at 12.24 and said Your RX had been called into Rite Aid Charles Thank you. :) I asked again. What happen? She said in so many words, she never called it in on the 13th and she never said she would and I was mistaken. Getting A prescription is the rubber hitting the road . Without it theirs no sense in seeing a Dr. Dr Emery thinks Tianna is perfect and it was just a misunderstanding then good luck to them both . If I have to go though Tianna T to get to Dr Emery .
