I have been here several times and it does not disappoint. The staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. For some reason, I find it much more filling than that other sub chain. Highly recommend! read more

I ordered 1/2 of a sub, they only put 1 piece of capicola cut in half, that's it. Also the rolls are smaller, I added more meat and it was an addt'l cost so my half of a capicola sub was $11.95 with a drink. Unbelievable. They prices are raised, the rolls are smaller and they have cut down on the meat they put on 1/2 of a sub, not going to frequent this store anymore!! read more

My main issue is the bread first of all I'm born and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey where we're known for baking fresh Italian loafs of bread daily coming to JRECK Subs there bread is extremely soft feels like it is halfway doughy also every time I get a sub, the meat comes out there hasn't been a time I can eat a piece of the sub without the meat flying out of the sub, especially if you get mayonnaise on the sandwich your meat is going to go flying out of the bread also they overcharge for a sandwich that my two year-old daughter can make 10 times better. I don't know it's just not my favorite cup of tea. read more

We really felt like a sandwich and this place was close. As we entered the staff greeted us and the restaurant was very clean. The staff were very helpful since we have never had this place before. We shared an Italian sub with extra meat and an Italian salad. They even cut the sandwich in half and put it in two separate dishes. The bread was soft and moist. The mix for the salad and sandwich were fresh and delicious. If we are ever in a place with Jrecks around, we will go there again. read more

JRECK Subs - Sandwiches Near Me - Watertown, New York

This is far better than subway, but not 100% amazing like a typical deli. However, for this area, it's as good as you'll get. We got a sandwich and salad. The sandwich comes with very little meat, so for $1.99 you can get double and make it worth it. The house Italian and seasoning is legit. Big fan of the oil and seasoning on onion bread. The staff are super friendly and swift. The place is very clean too. It's part of a small chain, but it's again better than your generic chains. read more

Busy, busy store. It's been years since I've gone to a Jrecks. As a college student it was a favorite place and I ordered my fav- roast beef with thousand island dressing and regular toppings minus the oil. Parking lot was packed but I still found a spot. Staff was friendly and prices were ok. I was disappointed in the sandwich. I ordered to go and By the time I got to eat it, it was soggy. Wasn't sure why as I did not get the oil topping. It also was pretty flavorless. Not like I remembered. It satisfied my hunger but the disappointment in flavor makes me feel like I lost my nostalgic view of the shop. Good in a pinch or at least eat as soon as it's made. However it had only been 20 minutes since I ordered til I ate it so it should not have been so soggy. read more

Super clean. Everything was tasty and well put together. Friendly service. Nice quick stop with the family

Had not had Jrecks in a while thought would try again. Meat on my Roast beef was just so thin like one slice and half the thickness of a normal slice if that . Cheese was sliced even thinner. Can't taste the meat. And if you getter crushed red peppers that is all you can taste. They give you a sprinkle of lettuce. Very disappointed. Not to mention I ordered the lunch deal and because I ordered breaded mushrooms they charged me separate for everything. Cost 16 plus for a half sub and small order or breaded mushrooms and a medium drink. I seriously don't know how they stay in business. With a sub like that. Sad really there subs used to be the best. read more

Started my morning off with a rude sandwich for free from the woman working in there. Probably not smart to be so rude when people are trying to spend their hard earned money at your business. read more

The service is stellar. The selection is impressive. I'm not a fan of the bread, it seems to disintegrate with anything on it. Still a great spot. read more

My partner is from the Watertown area and always raves about Jrecks. Living in Philly the last 5 years, I've had some pretty amazing "hoagies" so coming here i was a little skeptical, but the sub was good. The Italian already came with provolone cheese but I did enjoy the generous portion of toppings they put on it. Overall if I was grading this place on the sub alone I would've given it 3 stars - alot of options, but the deli meats we're pretty "Subway" in quality, and the bread similar (some people swear by the bread here, although I didn't think there was much to it). However, because of the customer service and their surprising amount of sides (we enjoyed the fried cheese curds) I gave the place 4 stars. Overall, if your looking for a quick sub, Jrecks is great. Is it more an A-tier subway? For sure. But for the price of their subs, you'll be satisfied. read more

I was charged 5 bucks for 7 mushrooms ‍. Used to be awesome but that's rediculous price for mushrooms read more

Has a lot of choices, such as popcorn chicken and pork bbq. Taste is average, not bad. I personally am not a big fan of the pork bbq sandwich, but it's not bad. One con is that they don't have a toaster to taste your bread. read more

Nothing hits the spot like a bad ass sandwhich. Hot or cold. Now that you know my stand on the greatness of a meat/cheese/vegetable combo using a bread delivery system to your stomach which in turn makes your eyes water with awesomeness, lets go back and remember exactly why this place kicked ass. This place is like 1 mile from my hotel room and about the same from my temp work location in Watertown. After reading yelp reviews on Jrecks I was determined to hit this local place for lunch. Well mission accomplished. A lady at work told me she didnt like Jrecks when i mentioned it to her because they spread the mayo directly onto the meat instead of onto the bread. She crazy! I went with the italian on the basil bread and i loaded it with all the fixings and even the spicy pepper combo. MMMM Let me tell you this was an amazing sandwhich. The bread was very fresh and almost still seemed a little tiny bit doughy wich i really like. All the flavors and spices mixed perfectly with the basil bread and was just blown away at how different it was compared to the usual italian sandwhiches from larger chains. You could tell this place took pride in their food and the staff was very nice and put generous amounts of everything on your sandwhich. Unlike subway when they count how many jalapenos and olives they put on your sub. I will be back to this place 2-3 more times withing my last 5 days here in watertown. Jrecks, you rock. read more

JRECK Subs - Italian Sammy - Sandwiches Near Me - Watertown, New York

Great sub very fast service. Hot and cold options all just good. Hard to eat in the car. Lol

This my favorite sandwich spot. I miss the pickle chips on my Turkey subs. Wish they were in other states lol

The subs is pretty good but the staff is not really friendly, I walked in & the lady was giving me attitude I'm like "wtf is your problem lady?" But I try to be nice, anyways I asked for no onions but they give me onions, I'm never ever ever ever ever gonna eat there again because they're so rude af, & I hate rude people, they're probably racist or something, anyways I like the food but not the service, if I worked as a CEO I would definitely fired them, if they have money problems that's what they get for being rude to the customers, I hope karma will get them, I would rather have subway than that shithole read more

I really wanted to go to jersey mikes but there isn't one near by. Jerk subs is a close comparison. We ordered in but took the food to go. The workers were kind, respectful and quick. While it's not jersey mikes we will be back. read more

Pretty disappointed with my recent visit. The chicken sub has been changed. No longer the same taste, look, or shape... Bread sucks now too.... The staff was awfully pissy too. Won't be back to this Jrecks read more

We were stuck in Watertown for a week and were curious about Jreck after seeing them here and there on the roadtrip we'd just taken across the East Coast. A quick Google let us know that they're only in select locations, and that people from the area really like them, so we had to try! SO many selections, interesting bread choices, lots of sides to choose from, and very friendly staff who were patient as we figured out the menu and our selections. I had the italian sub and fries, both were fresh and satisfying. Definitely better than subway, probably one of the best choices for food in Watertown. read more

I was looking for a sub shop on our road trip and could only locate Quiznos or Subway in the GPS and then I saw Jreck and made a u-turn--so glad I did! The bread is what makes this sub amazing...it's soft and delicious and I could eat 90 foot longs [okay, maybe not but they are sooooo good]. They have a special condiment mix of peppers and spices for their subs [spicy!] and they also have chopped dill pickles. I want Jrecks RIGHT NOW. P.S. Some restaurants are cash only, so make sure you have a few bucks on you! read more

Being a Rhode Islander I had never had Jreck's before and I guess I was just ignorant more than anything. Sandwiches were ok, nothing special. I had never heard of 'shakers' before eating here so at least I learned something. It seems to be a local favorite and even the individual who was introducing me to it seemed excited. I just couldn't push myself to love it as much as other sandwiches I have had. I guess you could liken it to Subway with fewer options. Although with people so excited about it I expected more. read more

So I needed something quick and easy and had high hopes because of the reviews. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. Solid menu options. I decided to go with the Italian. The gentleman making the sandwich was very friendly. I expected him to grab some meat slices and lay them out on the bread, but I was wrong. All of the meat and cheese is already laid out underneath the counter and ready to just slap on the bread. He pulled the stack of meat out, slapped it on the bread, and asked what other toppings I wanted. I was unimpressed with the topping selection. Only lettuce, tomatoes, pickles (chopped up which was nice), parmesan cheese, rosemary, salt and pepper, and some salsa looking concoction. It hurts to say, but but subway has a much better selection. I ordered the dinner meal which included fries and drink for about $2 more. I got about 10 fries which were average at best. The sub tasted pretty good. The meat was solid, but the bread is very soft and seems cheap. Overall, I was disappointed. $9 for a below average sub and a handful of fries is overpriced and not worth it at all. read more

JRECK Subs - A "Serving" of fries - Sandwiches Near Me - Watertown, New York

I had never been to this place before. I went with my neighbor/friend for the first time. The people that work there are very unprofessional. They just looked at us waiting for us to order, rather than welcoming us, or even a simple "hello". Then when my friend asked if they toasted their subs, they just stared at her like she was crazy. No response. Their selection of subs and sub toppings were horrible, too. So we paid for the over-priced subs. I say over priced because the subs were mediocre. We sat down and two bites into her sub, the meatballs were burnt. She wouldn't get up to go tell them, she was just disgusted. My food didn't taste good either. It was lukewarm. Now, i understand food burns... but if the people who worked there paid attention to their food, none of this would happen. But even if the subs were just "ok", i would still give this place 1 star because the service and the dining area was dirty. I do not recommend this place to a single person. This place makes Subway look like a sub God. read more

MUCH better places to eat down Arsenal Street to the east. This place needs a friendlier staff and a little updating inside. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant does not match the pricing of the meals. My family (3 people) ate there, $28.00. Soda machines, floors and decor from 1996-1998 era. The only thing in the place that's up-to-date are the lcd tv's for the menus, which are hard to see with the glare of the sun through the front windows. Nothing about the food was unique, basic home style subs. read more

This is the best sub you could ever have. EVER! never doubt the greatness of jrecks where you are in the reall upstate ny. anyone who has had it misses it as soon as they leave, anyone who lives there, is the luckiest perosn on the world and knows it, due to the proximity of supreme tastiness. I was on a flight that got stranded in Syracuse on my way to Montreal to see an ailing relative so we had to drive the rest of the way up. In one of the last few towns before hitting the border we stopped for gas and lunch. Thankfully Yelp pointed me to this place on the same exit. And I was glad it did. we have some great sub shops in the south but this place would certainly rank up there with them. There was very little flair to the place which was fine by me. Just don't judge it by it's exterior or interior. All I needed was a quick sub so I could get back on the road. I think my entire transaction tooko less than five minutes. So mission accomplished. I got an Italian sub and it was delicious! Unless you just have really bad meat, it is the bread that will make or break a sub and the rosemary-something-or-rather certainly help make my sub complete. I did notice they put the mayo directly on the meat. Not sure what that was about but it didn't hurt it. If for any reason I am travelling this way again, Jreck is definitely going to be my lunch stop. read more

The subs were great, primarily because of the bread - a nice alternative to subway in the area. The service wasn't so good though, lots of workers loudly complaining about this or that, but they seemed to know the locals well, which was cool.
