Despite this, recently I was dragged along with a bunch of friends for a meal here, and clearing away my preformed judgements about the place, I was actually fairly pleasantly surprised. Their obvious selling feature is the quirkiness of having many different cuisines under one roof - and it's kind of pleasant to not be confined to one style for once. However, being a jack of all trades also means they're not amazing at any of them - but the cheap prices perhaps make up for that. Although I was entertained by the experience I wasn't won over, and the poor service didn't help.

A hearty menu, hearty portions, and hearty bar staff (doesn't the word hearty sound a bit odd now?). In other words this place isn't overly up market and they aren't afraid to be friendly and offer decently sized portions. They don't let themselves be constricted to one continent, let alone one country here, with Mexican, Inidan, and Chinese amongst the extensive range of cuisines available. This obviously means it isn't quite as authentic as going somewhere spealist, but they're never too wide of the mark. If you are looking for the real deal then perhaps head somewhere else. Flavourz (I think they let themselves down with the name a bit) offers a taste education in a friendly setting, and with big portions.

Your strategy should be to take very small amounts of things that look promising to you back on your first plate and decide based on that whether you want to take a larger portions, because the dishes seem to very widely in authenticity & flavor. I recommend the grilled gyro meat; the chicken korma; the Korean style spicy fried chicken; the tandoor style chicken wings; indian style shrimp; the brown, stir fried thick noodles; the white rice; the roasted turkey; the Eaton mess, coconut pudding, and fruit. The lamb ribs were tender but very plain. Chicken Tikka masala was tender but slightly acrid & mostly tasted of garam masala. It cried out for fresh lemon and yogurt. I did not see Raita. Dishes I would not recommend: lamb rogan josh - salty and v over cloved; sweet and sour chicken - sticky breading & v sweet; crispy satay - had a single noted unfamiliar flavor; ice cream cones tasted of whey. Tried bits of several other sauced chinese dishes that I found very lacking. They were very fast about clearing away plates and dirty, silverware and the bathrooms are clean. It's a bit noisy and I wish parents would not let their children run around rummaging through the food and the chocolate fountain. If you're going with a group of people that don't like different things, I think everybody would be able to find something they were happy with. Kids seem to like it a lot. For two of us with only water to drink, the bill came to 48 quid I think. It was the only place in the area where we could get Indian food at five in the afternoon. I might go there again, but I would be even pickier about what I tried.

For less than £15 you can have an all-you-can-eat buffet including pizza, Indian, Chinese, fried foods, salad or freshly prepared teppanyaki, stir-fried noodles, grilled meats, and desserts. Drinks are made to order except fizzy drinks that are bottomless for just £2.85.  The variety on offer is good but the quality is average e.g. the beef and turkey roasts were dry and likewise the vegetables were shrivelled up as if out for too long, the chicken and sweetcorn soup tasted okay but was a bit watery, some of the black Bean mussels had dried out so that the mussel was dry on the inside, the sushi rolls had barely any filling and the teppanyaki tasted bland. The dessert fairs better than the savoury food with an impressive chocolate fountain, a range of ice cream flavours and an array of pre-prepared bite-sized items including rocky road, chocolate cakes, strawberry mousse, mini Swiss rolls and jelly. The fruit on offer was pineapple, watermelon and grapes whereby the pineapple was watery but lacking sweetness and the grapes were sweet whilst contained seeds.  All in all the food and drink was aplenty, of a satisfying variety and displayed well but the quality was not quite commendable.

When you pull up, this place is certainly impressive! Hard to believe this huge building is only a…read morerestaurant. They also have a takeaway service called Fusion Wok with a window so you don't have to walk inside. When we walked in, we were greeted instantly, but the place is quite loud and a bit chaotic. We were seated at a booth in the corner with a nice view of the lake, although getting in and out of the booth while a family of six was seated there was a bit like navigating an obstacle course. The plates are *really* hot, so you may want to grab one or two of the tissues sitting next to the plates. There is a salad area and across from that is what I thought was a Mongolian BBQ set up however their website calls it Teppanyaki, next to that is sushi, and next to that is crispy duck! Next to the salad is the "not-Asian-heavily-deep-fried" area (think chips, onion rings, etc.). There is a variety of different Asian dishes, so not strictly Chinese, but I think the variety might be good for large families or groups. I enjoyed the Lemon Chicken... but just the chicken, there was no lemon sauce to go with the Chicken! I also highly enjoyed the ribs and the Crispy Shredded Beef (beware it is spicy, but delicious). The rest of the food was ok, but not life changing. The desserts were not really worth a look. Some of the desserts look lovely, but just taste sweet, but nothing else. Some of the other desserts are recognizable from the grocery store. The two things that I think we enjoyed was the Eton Mess/Pavlova near the Chocolate Fountain and the Mini Donuts that were on a stick to dip into the Chocolate Fountain. The website also states that there is Dim Sum served during dinner time, but I didn't see any of the items out. The variety is great, the quality of the food... is on par with all the other Chinese Buffets out there. There is a little something for everyone and seemed to be very popular with families with young children and large groups.

You know the food will not be great but there will be lots of it and the kids like being able to choose exactly what they want. This is a rather bizarre mix of Indian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican and Italian. The emphasis is on quantity and not quality. As usual in these palces the pick of the dishes are the cook to order sections and this had a noodle bar where you can pick your own raw ingredients and then they will stir fry before you - they also had a cook to order pasta section. it was pretty empty when we sat down at about 5....but had busied up by the time we left. There were lots of chefs busy cooking...the s=desserts went down best with the kids - they even had a Mr Whippy style ice cream machine where you could make your own ice cream cones.... What is not immediately obvious is that it is an all you can eat buffet and nowhere that you can see inside is the price which is £17 a head on Fridays and Saturdays. What of the food well I had the pizza and garlic bread which had dried out under the heat lamp and was virtually tasteless, I also had a burger which was of very poor quality. When we left the restaurant I looked for the price which was displayed but was written in dark red on a black background which would indicate to me that the owners are simply trying to make as much money as they can in the short term as I cannot see them getting any repeat business and would not expect it to be there in six months time, in the meantime avoid.

After hearing a few people rave about the place and reading some of the reviews I ventured in for a spot of Saturday lunch. It was fairly busy without being manic, we were seated quickly and our waitress explained the concept. (It's pretty rudimentary: Get a plate, help yourself, repeat ad nauseum) I found the food to be variable, some of the dishes were on par with what I would expect from a takeaway specialising in that particular type of cuisine whereas others tasted either bland or just plain bizarre compared with my expectation. The food containers seemed to be getting restocked fairly frequently and only one of the dishes I tried seemed like it may have been sitting on the hot plate a little too long. The selection was fairly average for this type of place. It's billed as Pan Asian, when I was there this translated to a selection of chinese and indian dishes with a couple of mexican offerings along with chips, pizza, onion rings and all that jazz. Desserts looked like some kind of diabetic coma inducing sugarfest which I chose to ignore, plenty of cake, jelly and ice cream to whet your appetite. All told the place is OK, but only OK. If I were nearby I would grab a bite to eat here over a fast food joint but if you want a decent sit down eating experience there are plenty of better options open to you within walking distance. Cost us about £12/head for lunch buffet and bottomless soft drink.
