Jay is basically a con artist! Stay as far away from him as possible. I would say he did half of the job, and then left leaving me with a non-working TV. He indicated that he would return in a few days. Two weeks later he still has not come back to finish the job. He has more than a plethora of excuses - I just got Covid (which I have heard is a very convenient one), my truck got a flat tire and I'll be there soon. Does he arrive any time after I had spent the entire day waiting for him? NO! NO! NO! Now he claims the job is done despite all his previous communication. He is a full-fledged liar no matter how you look at this. Other reviews at other sites that Jay can't take down indicate this same situation. Jay has a handicapped placard that he uses even when asked why. He claims that he was "blown up" in Iraq, but to do the job he does - lifting large tv's by himself, all the electrical work that requires being on a ladder, and other jobs that require agility and balance. To qualify for one a handicap placard, he requires that one has great difficulty walking. Really???? Does he need one? I don't think so. Jay asks that you make out the check to "cash" which makes me think that he is skirting the IRS. It was difficult to figure out how to get back in touch with him when he didn't come back, but I found him by looking up his phone number and double checking it on the internet. I could tell you more about Jay, but this is representative of the difficulties I have had with him. I STRONGLY believe he is a scam artist and a con man. If everything goes perfectly, then you are lucky. I learned from this mess that I should never have written a check for the full amount, and I should have made it out to him personally. Damn! I was pulling for this business! The owner is super friendly and seemingly professional... but to agree to a time to provide a service, and simply not show up or call or text is crazy. My time is valuable too!! I pride myself on recommending great businesses to my circle of friends and family. Small businesses need to realize the strength of word of mouth recommendation. I was very pleased with the entire process from booking to getting my TVs mounted. I was called before arrival, and the "setting up and install" stayed within the time frame given. I, initially, had Best Buy install a fixed TV mount for my 75". However, I wanted to upgrade to a pull down TV mount. So, Jr TV Mounting Service "took down" my previous fixed mount and installed my new, pull down mount. Every precaution was taken to make sure that the 75" TV was hung straight, and in the position that I wanted it on the wall. They have all the tools needed to get the job done! Was excited when we contacted JR and he came out the same day. He did not have a mount that would work for our TV so he said he was going to find one and he was going to reach back out. He never reached back out. We reached out and said he was still looking. After a couple days reached out again, no response. He blocked me on Facebook and text messages. So after the excitement of seeming to work with a professional veteran owned company, we realized this was just another poor experience and someone using "veteran owned" to get business and providing a poor unprofessional experience. Shame on JR for not being professional enough to just reach out and decline the job. I found a mount and had Mounting Lions in Burlington put up the TV. Well, I tried to give Jay the benefit of the doubt before I left a negative review, but time's up. Usually I only review businesses if they are either extremely good or if they do something that I need to warn people about. Unfortunately this is the latter. I found out about his services via a Facebook ad. The reviews there seemed good enough so I reached out. ( I should have checked the reviews on Yelp and Google first because it seems others had the same problems I did.) All I needed was a mounting for two flat screens. First red flag.. He missed the first commit date. Instead of calling me or texting (you know being proactive like a professional business does) I had to call him. He said he was sick. OK fine.that happens no problem. Rescheduled. Showed up. Saw he had a nice professional truck with his face on it and there's a mention of the business being veteran owned. Cool. I have 3 veterans in my family. I can respect that. I thought maybe he's professional afterall. He gets here and puts both TV's up . However he left the wall socket sticking out on one of them (which I pointed out before he left). He said he needed a piece of wood or something and that he would come back and fix it. He left the second wall socket for the 2nd TV the same way but this one wasnt nearly as noticeable as the one in my bedroom. This is my brand new house..new build!! Hasnt even been a year yet. I don't need this eyesore sticking out from my wall! I also pointed out a ding on the wall that wasn't there prior to. He didn't have spackling with him so I let him use some of mine. He was supposed to come back and fix both issues. I gave it a few days. Even let it go past a weekend thinking ok, maybe he's busy. A few more days went by and nothing, so I texted him.. no reply. Called and left voicemail. He calls back and as soon as I picked up call dropped. He texted saying he would get back to me ... nothing.. I gave it a few more days and texted him yesterday saying hey just following up with you.. its now 4/4/23 ..crickets. I even left a positive review on his Facebook the day he left, in good faith that he'd come back and finish the job ( review now deleted and will be replacing with this one) . I was actually going to have him put up 2 more tvs at a later date (which we spoke about ). I guess he doesnt like money nor cares about customer retention. I even tipped him against my best judgement knowing the first job wasn't finished. All I can say is..when you seek out a professional to do a job for you, read the negative reviews too. Seems other people had this same issue as far as not communicating or being true to their word. Jay, do better man... for every professional tendency you had, your unprofessional ways tarnish all of it. Now I have to call an electrician to come out and fix my socket. (Which by the way Jay did plug his electrical services before he left too). Too bad.. he seemed like a nice guy but is severely lacking in the professional department. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN!!!! reached out On Saturday for "same day appointment " ..which had to be the next day ..Sunday. ... he comes ...late ...he was quick with the mounting but now I'm wondering if it's even right and is my TV safe ...... He suggests hiding the wires ..ok .. Has to drill 2 holes bc of a fire wall ... Didn't patch the first one ...(said we needed an extenstion cord so my husband went to get one but Jay left before he even got back .. and used that as an excuse to leave e ..He didn't even make a second hold to run the cords .... said he would come later that day .....AND DIDN'T !!! .... He then calls me Monday trying to catch me at home "to finish " but I was at work so HE set an appointment for WED at 11am (3/23).. I text him 8am to remind him he responded and confirms that I have everything needed .. which I do along with the things for him to mount 3 other tvs .... He calls me 1030 and says he will be there in 45 minutes and NEVER SHOWS UP ...I call him going on 1pm to see what was going on to find out he BLOCKED MY NUMBER AND ON FACEBOOK !!!!! read more

He came when he said he would... and the install was completed in less than 30 minutes like he said it would be. I would recommend him and plan to call him again for future projects.
