If anyone gets around to writing a book of Miami's best-kept secrets for residents, JR Electronics should absolutely be in it. I brought my 2006 Lexus ES to them because the factory amp had died and taken the head unit with it. I just needed a cheap head unit with FM/CD/Bluetooth and the removal of the factory amp, and they hooked me up GOOD. An outstanding job from start to finish, and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Going to a dedicated audio shop is different than going to Best Buy; Best Buy will have $20 head units that have Bluetooth and THAT'S IT, but an audio shop will have robust units that do everything the big boys do, they just aren't flashy or polished about it. The difference in cost is reflected in the quality, professionalism, and knowledge of the work, and that's really what you pay for. Don't deal with them. First incident was when one of there employees smoked in my car and all they told me after denying it, is that they'll spray some perfume. They don't own up to there mistakes. Bring your car here if you like unaccountable techs who ignore your instructions and may damage your car. One of my HID fogs went out, and since I couldn't be bothered to drive all the way to my usual shop for such a simple job, I came here. I gave the person at the counter instructions that they should get to the fog bulb through the wheel well and not remove the bumper. They agreed and said it would be 30 minutes. An hour and fifteen minutes later my car isn't done, so I go back to where the technician is working in the back. I find my bumper has been removed from the car. I asked him why, and he said it was easier for him this way. That is total nonsense and indicates incompetence. Moreover they expressly disobeyed my instructions and did not ask for permission knowing I objected to this. This is a classic, fool the customer, assume he/she won't find out attitude. Then they started shouting at me and told me customers are not allowed to watch. This alone is good reason to never go back because they are ignoring my instructions, doing something I expressly forebade, and won't let me watch them put it right. But it gets worse. When I walked to the front, I saw 2 techs arguing with each other. Then one of them walked off in anger, got into a customers car that had just been brought in, and drove it so fast to the back that he scraped the side of another customers car and left a massive scratch. They then shrugged their shoulders and didn't bother to inform that customer. It is interesting that the manager's responses to all negative reviews on this profile is to deny that bad service happened, rather than to investigate and correct. This is usually a sign of badly run businesses - they try to conceal bad work rather than take responsibility and make it right. read more

Went to get a very simple tint job on 1 window, even made an appointment. Was told the wait would be an hour. Came back in an hour & they still had not started working on my car. What is the point of setting up an appointment?! Was told that another car needed a removal & new tints. I took my car about 4 years ago to get HID's installed and i had a bad experience. Yes it was that bad that i have to write about it now. First, I installed the HID's and Bryan told me it was an extra $50-60 bucks because they have to dismount the bumper. NOT TRUE. Thats how they get you! When i went to the back i saw it myself and no bumper came off. Listen, if you have to do business like this...than you are not about making the customer #1priority. Literally, 3 days later one of the lights go out. They swapped it...no problem. A few days later the lights flickering again. Maybe they're using the cheapest quality ballasts and lights? In addition, attitude was not professional and a severe lack of communication. I cant speak for the other guys who do electronic installs or wheels, but i sure as hell never went back there again. And I've bought two more cars since. If I'm not you're priority, you're not getting my business. read more

Previously experience was good but when one of my HID's went bad they took 3 hours to tell me they were just starting to work on my vehicle. Needless to say I got here at 10:40 and now it is almost 3 and I still do not have my truck back...with proper communication my problem could have been avoided there is a big difference between getting it done now and 4 hours...after I couldn't believe it could get worse one of the store managers decided to get in my face and his mother had to calm him down... Most unprofessional experience ever...go there for audio anything else be prepared to have them treat you horrible... Wasted my time. Left work 30 minutes early because the guy told me to et there by 5:30 made it on time been dying to connect my new stereo. I spoke to them the day before to explain that I work 9-5 and wouldn't make it until 5:30. He said ok that's fine. When I get there he looks at my system and said its a double something (I know nothing about cars of not I would do it myself) he tells me sorry and he can't do it. Hey say they close at 7 that's why I chose to go here and he said on he stops working at 6 so why would you say 7. Wasted my time and left early. Great attitude in the phone then can't even help me out I was going to pay $80 for something other places only charge 60 plus I have the kit already ($30). I bought a H.I.D. Bulp from these guys and it didn't work the first time I installed it, I took it back to get a new one and they gave me this BS lie saying that I broke it. Then they wanted to charge me $20 for another bulb which was an insult to me because why would I pay for another bulb that's broken, especially when it wasn't my fault. I told them that I had a 1 Year Warranty with them on the receipt. They said okay that they would give me another bulb but that it would be the last bulb they'll give me. I installed the new bulb they gave me and it didn't work. I would not recommend going to these guys for any kind of equipment or service. i had a rear camera installed in September, 2014. It was rather tricky, since the dashboard didn't really have room for the equipment. Juan figured a way to install the camera, and it worked just fine until August, 2015. I returned and Juan made a quick adjustment. The camera worked fine again. Horrible customer service ! Employees are very unprofessional, cursing constantly and using the word "n*gga" around their customers. They walk around eating snacks with their pants sagging. Making you wonder if it's a good idea to give them your vehicle. They have no care in the world for their customers time or patience. I had an appointment at 5 and was helped at 6. I sat there for an hour and not one employee bothered asking me if I'd been helped or telling me how much longer it would take. They sat there and began to watch movies while I sat in a chair. After an hour of waiting I heard the employee from the back over the walkie talkie saying, "Helloooo I've been waiting for the guys car!!". The incompetent fool had no idea what was going on. Watching movies , cracking jokes and laughing with other employees while their customer is sitting in a chair for an hour thinking it's because they were busy. The mechanic had been free for over 45 minutes !!! I head to the work area in the back with an employee to hear the other employee complaining that he doesn't have time to work on my car. He then tells me he's been free since 5:15, may I remind you... I got there at 5 and sat in a chair until 6. They will tell you one price and then spike it up with "fees" at the end. After waiting , they tried to double the price on me so I left without even second guessing it. Hands down, It's one of the most unprofessional business' I've ever stepped into. If you want the opposite of professionals and good, quality customer service then come here. I've been a customer here since 2007 and have always brought my cars here, never had an issue until now, April 10th I came in for a new alarm on my daily driver, everything was fine except for the installer complaining about my actuator going bad and a leak in my radiator as soon as I left their shop, I did not complain, i just had it replaced. 1 week later the siren just stopped working on the new alarm that was installed. Took it in today to replace the defective siren and I mentioned the radiator was punctured when I left their shop. Never an apology or any kind of empathy for wasting my time or damaging my "old car" as the sales guy mentioned. I never asked for them to take responsibility for the radiator but the least they can do is apologize for the inconvenience on the defective siren. The sales guy asked me how the radiator was damaged and if I was accusing them very defensively now I'm no mechanic so I left the broken radiator there for him to inspect it if they even care to check if it was really the installer's fault, not that I care but my siren was defective really bad experience overall, customer service is non existent here, I won't be coming back as a customer again. I'd rather take my old cars elsewhere. read more

I tried to be their customer but i went around 7pm and they were already closed, but i went in the store they did not locked the door and i did not realize it was closed and all of their staff was there sitting down talking sh&^ and they saw me and did not put any attention to me I stayed their standing like for 3 minutes and no one even bother asking me if i needed any help or anything and i just told them how their customer service sucks and left and after i told them they told they were closed. In a place like miami were there is tooooo much competition in services in general and soooo much people who know what they do customer service is the only thing that makes a difference. This place has the worst costumer service i have ever had. They dont treat their customers right. They made us wait from one in the afternoon till four to put tints. So then we left and the called back and told us they were un able to do them for us not even explaining why we had to ask why and their response was because they had to take of the glue of the windows and it would take a hour and they didnt have enough time. Mind you they closed two hours went we dropped off the car. He basically denied us and said to go else where that it would take them too long to do the job for us. I called JR Electronic because my trusted mechanic told me about them and they could help me install an Ipod Kit on my Mercedes E320. A guy by the name of Rick Rodriguez took the call and gave me an attitude as if I'm wasting his time. I WOULD NEVER GO THERE! period. I am not recommending anyone to do so business with them as well. Well about a month ago I had an alarm and tints done to my car all in one day but it took about 4hrs but not complaining since everything came out good. The only problem that I see is that they don't write down on your receipt the warranty that they state verbally. On the alarm was quoted 3yr warranty and lifetime for parts and labor and the tints lifetime as well. I noticed that with my alarm instructions and warranty card in the box that one has a limited lifetime warranty with the manufacture. I wrote to the manufacturer Prestige and they just could care less what these vendors do and promise to their about customers about the warranty but only knew about their warranty. I guess like they say one cannot believe everything you hear,if it's not in writing its worthless and this just not goes out to this company but many more out there doing the same thing. Horrible customer service and HORRIBLE tint job. This place is garbage. Took my car for a tint job and when I inspected it all I saw was tons of bubbles and cuts. It looked like a 3rd grader did my tints. Then they got upset when I told them what I saw. Owner started to insult me and his wife then out of the blue told me that her car was more expensive than mine. Why she would say that who knows? Low class. Took my car in for tint removal and application. The person who did the job cut my passenger and driver side seats with a blade. They sent me to an upholstery place that had me waiting for weeks before they could do the work. The person who did the job also left the car a complete mess, tint and glue everywhere that I'm STILL finding. If I could give them 0 stars I would, but the actual tint job wasn't bad. Honestly I am not one to talk bad about shops or waste time to write a review, but I am tired of poor customer service and customers need to be aware. To begin they are very nice and knowledgeable when you first come in. But once they take your car in it is a different story. The techs in the back dnt take their time when doing the work and are careless. I installed an in dash and brought them an aftermarket kit. When they gave me te car back the interior was slightly chipped from using a screw driver to take out the stock radio. Also the new center piece was installed carelessly . After a few miles of driving the center piece popped out due to normal vibration of driving. I went back couple of days later they fixed it and apologized but then when I left I noticed that they had unplugged the aux cable by accident so I had to go back again at a later date. They damaged my interior and made me waste a lot of time comming back and forth on various occasions because of their lack of focus and commitment. So when I came back today to fix the aux cable, I brought a differet center piece ( one that I liked better because of the color, but it was the exact same plastic piece) and I figured they could do me the favor of installing that one since to fix the aux cable they would have to take the old one out anyways. This piece is just a small plastic piece with an opening of the size of the double din, with clips in the back that just clip on to the center console. I wasn't asking for them to do extra work and I thought they would do this for the inconveniance. George the main sales rep told me he was going to charge me for it and gave me an attitude and told me that I wasn't going to get anything free. I was very bothered but let it go as I just wanted my car done so I could leave and not come back. Also when I first installed the double din kit they sold me a backup camera and told me they would do a custom installation in the center of the license plate. They were not able to do it and installed the camera out in the open on the rear bumper with no protection and didn't tell me until after they installed it. Be careful with the sales staff and the techs at this shop. George is a great sales associate, but when it comes to customer service and problems he gets very defensive and doesn't take ownership for the mistakes his associates make. In addition he doesn't know how to treat a customer who received less than mediocre service. read more

I have gone to JR many times and I can say that I am happy with their service. I will admit that I may not be the easiest customer because like anyone else I want my things done right. Ive had tints, fog lights, rims, and suspension done here and the only problem that Ive encountered has been from supplier of parts not JR. I originally had problems with the fitment of my rims because Vossen sent the wrong offset and Bryan from inside helped get the right set up for me. Just recently my Megan suspension went bad and they went above and beyond to help me figure out what was wrong(even though I was right about the bad shock). I had to spend money to fix it but it was Megans fault. I will continue shopping at JR in the future and I want to thank Joey in the back for his patience with my wonderful Genesis :) read more
