We just got a new car and we didn't even have to ask around, we brought it straight here for tinting. Over the years they have tinted a few cars for us, they used to have a Kendall location closer to home, but even as the location is further away we decide to stay with someone we know and trust. Adrian was really helpful, did a good job explaining the different material. I didn't know that but now there'a a material that can absorb the UV and heat and is clear, so perfect for the windshield!! In Miami you really need all the help to not get baked inside your car! There are a few chairs inside, with TV and a Keurig machine for tea and coffee. We went to the library down the street for a little while as they worked on our car. read more

28 years ago I brought my Volvo station wagon to Solar Tint and they did a great job on a vehicle with lots of glass! Flash forward to November 2025 and I am cleaning out the glove compartment and found the guarantee that came with that installation. Well this wagon has been sitting in the hot Florida sun all these years and of course some of the tinting was bubbling. I called and spoke to Adrian who told me to bring it in for a look and he told me that he would honor the guarantee and replaced all the window tinting. Did I mention 28 year old tinting!! Turns out that the car was no longer in the computer for automated cutting of the film panels for each window so Adrian had one of his top installers (Joey) manually cut and fit each window. It took a couple of days but was well worth the wait. I can't recommend this company enough - great detailed work, excellent communication and a real dedication to customer service - pretty rare in today's world. I feel that they did a great job on my Subi. I love ceramic and I know it's pricey but you really do get what you pay for. They are a 3M dealer and they recommended a certain type that was perfect for me. Job was done in a day and I walked out of there a happy camper. The place was a touch hard for me to find as my gps kept pointing me toward Commerce. The actual shop is on 70th street and faces the parking garage. They offered me a lifetime of the car warranty on the tints so I'm really happy about as well as my cars usually are with me 10+ years. read more

Had my Lexus dropped off for 3M ceramic tint. They did the job pretty quickly but it turned out they did a bad job. Less than a year later the film was peeling off. I had to take it to a different shop (out of state) and they said the previous shop did a terrible job. Edit: so the owner is trying to save face. Just take responsibility. I have attached a photo of my warranty card to prove that I had my tints installed at his location. read more

Just under ten years ago, Solar Tint installed window film on my new 2013 Honda Accord. Recently I noticed the film was bubbling and peeling on the back window. My wife decided that rather than replacing the film, she would just prefer to have it removed. I agreed with her so I called Solar Tint. I was amazed by the following; 1) they still had my purchase receipt 2) they confirmed my purchase was still under warranty 3) they gave me an appointment for removal 4) they started on my car at the appointment time 5) they did a perfect job on removal 6) there was NO CHARGE due to the warranty. Every single one of my cars has always been tinted- it's practically a necessity in this relentless Miami heat! I used one main company but it is just way too far and I wanted something closer. I looked for yelp to help and was able to narrow it down to two, but ultimately chose Solar Tint since it was closer and they work on many cars from the dealer where I bought my car. I only needed two windows tinted since I have an SUV and all the windows except the front come tinted from the factory. I called the same day and was given an appointment at noon. I arrived and they had me fill out the 3M warranty card and they took my car. Not even 30 minutes later and it was done and I was good to go! They did a perfect job matching the tint to the rest of the car windows and it looks perfect. I paid $95 for 2 windows but it is very good quality tint and comes with a lifetime warranty against peeling, cracking, and fading! I call to make an appointment for this place and Martha was the lady that answered the phone. Probably one of the most professional and polite people i've dealt with at any establishment similar to this one. However she did make one mistake that makes me regret my purchase as a whole. Because this is my first time putting tints on my car, i didn't know how the whole legality issues worked. I simply went with the darkest legal tints. She failed to inform me that police officers cannot pull you over for dark tints, so i would've easily gone with the darker tints that looked so much better. I heard her explaining that to another customer and i was so mad but it was already too late. I decided to wait at the place instead of leave because i had some work to do. The place is clean and pretty comfy, but the lot is very tight. She told me it would take a little longer than the initially quoted one hour and a half, which i was ok with because she told me before i chose to stay. So i was aware of this time. I asked about an hour and 50 minutes how long it would be and she said, "its almost done" after asking the guys. 20 min passed and i asked again, she said "5 more minutes." 20 more minutes have passed and that is when i decided to start this review... 2 and a half hours after my initial appointment, i finally get my car back. The tints came out fine although not the ones i wouldve taken had i known the initial information. Long story short, don't wait here and don't expect the car to be done at the time they tell you... First and foremost the customer service here is top notch! I called three different places before I called Solar Tint and each place I called they all answered the phone with "hey" ummm you're a professional business and you're answering the phone like that? Nope. I called Solar Tint and the girl on the phone was so professional I immediately made an appointment for that next week. I was already out on the road doing errands for the day and I said let me see if they can fit me in and they did. I got there at 11am and fully knowing it was Saturday, I knew I would have to wait. I fully expected to be out of there may 2-3pm and nope was out of there by 12:30 and that's because they fit me in. I'm sure it would have been quicker if I would have made a weekday appointment. Although it doesn't stand out when taken at face value, this place is a gem for all your tinting needs. It's a small operation but from my understanding they get a lot of referrals from high end car dealers in the area. My husband had used them twice before with perfect results, and when I purchased my new car both he and my dealer recommended this as the place to go for tints. They did my two front windows and my windshield. I like my car to be as cool as a dark cave to set off our crazy Miami heat. I stopped in on a Saturday as a walk in customer (they take appts M-F but not on Sat). It seemed to be slow that day. They quoted me the price, $60 for the fronts and $150 for the windshield, and I left my new baby with them and walked over to Sunset Place. They computer cut all the film right there for the job that's needed so it's not just some old window tint kit they have laying around. They've got the good stuff!! Since this was my first tinting, I didn't know what to expect so when they were finished and what appeared (to me) to be bubbles and dirt in the film, they assured me it wasn't...but being the perfectionist, I wasn't happy, so they went out of their way to completely redo it all on their time and dollar to make sure I was happy. Solar Pro is one very impressive company. They are extremely knowledgeable about the products they sell. It was a real pleasure working with Mary Ann and crew. Their pricing is very competitive as well. If you are looking to get your windows "retinted" you should strongly consider Solar Pro. I received quotes from other companies who claim to be proficient at "retinting". However, I received a bid from one company who was more than double Solar Pro's bid. I work in sales. When you offer a customer products or services at prices much higher than your competition, that is what I call a "go away price". That tells me that the company isn't very interested or confident in the job that they are offering. So, they bid extremely high to make it worth their while... Jamie is the lead-tint technician. He is extremely personable and knowledgeable. He and his assistant were in our house for 6-7 hours, retinting several colonial windows as well as 3 large double sliding doors. If you are familiar with colonial windows, each window consists of 6 or more separate panes of glass. An opening consists of 2-4 windows. It is quite a tedious process to scrape the tint from each pane of glass. It can be a little hairy too, with the possibility of cracking glass panes by using too much force. Jamie and crew have created a very efficient method for removing and replacing tint. I watched them too. There were no shortcuts to be had either. They used a lot of elbow grease to get the job done very well as well as in a timely manner.
