I called about tints and they told me I can come anytime. No appointments needed. I took the day off and drove up from Hoemstead and got there at 9:10. The two guys in the front told me they were not taking anymore cars. They have three cars in line. I told them I spoke to Rick and they told me they wouldn't take me in. I went to JR Electronics to have some speakers replaced. Juan told me how bad my radio sounded. They replaced two front speakers, rewired the amp and tuned it. I told Juan Irecently had the stereo and amp installed at Sensor Stereo and not happy with the Quality of work they did and I would never return to Sensor Stereo. After JR Electronics replaced 2 speakers, rewired the Amp and tuned it correctly, it sounds 100% better. I'm glad I went to JR Electronics and regret going to Senor Stereo, I would have had spent less money and would have not gone through so much aggravations. read more

I went to JR to get my SUV's windows tinted I was not impressed with the turn around time. We got there at 9:05 and they didn't have our cars ready until almost 5:00 pm. Needless to say I understand there's people in line and all that but it would've been nice to have my car back sooner. Now to the work product: EXCELLENT. They sure know what they're doing! they are so sure of their work they give you guarantee!! I'd anything happens to the tints they'll fix it for free. Just left JR. I've been a lifetime customer with multiple different cars dating back 25 years. So much so that long time employees recognize me by face when I walk in. I have always done my tints at JR due to their "lifetime" warranty on their tints. Well today, when I finally had a rear window tint issue for them to fix, they claim they can only help me with "some" of the cost due to the rise is costs. He said my receipt was an old receipt and he can no longer honor the "lifetime" warranty. I just went to JR about a week ago when a different employee saw my car and receipt and said they would honor my receipt and replace the tint at no cost however they were booked for the day. He asked me to come back earlier as they work on a first come first serve basis. When I returned today I was attended by a long time employee(possibly the owner) and told different. To my understanding "lifetime" warranty has no timeframe. I think this is super unprofessional as they lied on their claim of providing me with lifetime warranty. I did my part by keeping my receipt just in case this exact issue would arise however they did not honor their claim. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Go and find yourself a reputable company that will take care of the customer. Hope this review will prevent this issue from happening to someone else. By the way this is the first bad review I leave for any company. That is how bad I feel about how I was treated by this employee. I will be posting on other platforms as well. read more

This family-run audio store has a really friendly staff, they do have good deals and they will install you the equipment fairly fast, with a lifetime warranty. I had my audio equipment installed here and they did a great job. Although, head's up! For a car equipment installation, make an appointment and arrive early or else the'll work on who's there. Person was short with me and hung up before I could finish. I get there to find out the tint guy wasn't in. Total waist of time. I addressed the guy I spoke to and he could care less. I got two recommendations from this place - one during my talk thread question regarding car tints and security - and a second from the person who came to install the tints at my house (and needed to "escalate" the alarm repair.) If y'all recall, my car had been vandalized and the alarm I had didn't work or sound. It needed to be diagnosed and upgraded. Since it was checking an alarm already in place, I figured that would complicate the task so as to not dismantle the car's interior. "Eleanor" went there Saturday morning, and they were able to diagnose and repair the damamged controller fairly quickly. There wasn't any noticeable damage (ie panels removed or dirty carpets) to the interior. A quick glance at the shop space showed it to be pretty organized, and the stock of gadgets in the "boutique" space has an ample selection of gadgets. I got a similar sensation to what my friend says she gets in a shoe store! I can see myself coming back to shop for accessories. I do have to knock a star because when I asked for a phone quote they said $75 for the controller and programming, and when I was there they charged a $35 diagnostic fee and tacked on a $20 labor charge for programmign the controller. The work was good and I don't knock that but for future reference please keep the prices straight. They also seemed a little "quick". Let's hope for friendlier service when I bring my car for custom accessories. read more

Parents have been going to Jr for all their car needs for a minimum of 20 years. I wanted to install lowering springs on my car and was greeted with open arms. Installation went fine; I thought till I really inspected the car and noticed some lift damage on the side skirt. I call the shop and i'm instantly told they aren't liable but I am welcome to pass by and review the footage of the installation. I arrive and walk inside to be greeted by a salesman and begin to tell him of the damage done to my car. He insists that his techs saw the damage before the installation and relayed this damage to other employees. I ask him for a written form stating any damage previous to the install and he say's quote" we do everything verbally." Me nor my parents were informed of this damage previous to the install. I ask him to see the footage and he says the footage was mysteriously deleted the night before. Don't let the cheap prices fool you; this place is ridiculous. I recommend going somewhere else and just completely avoiding these clowns. read more

Rick helped me get the windows on my baby VW Tiguan tinted. It looks absolutely amazing! The quality and service were great! My car is now super cold in the hot Miami summer thanks to the tints. They totally set you up for success in this shop and leave reminders to be careful with the tints for the next few days so that they last a long time. These guys are great. Very friendly, professional, and honest. I spilled a soda and fried the circuit board for the multimedia control on my Audi Q7. To replace it would have cost me $1000. Instead, I ordered the chip from Hong Kong and these guys help me install it all for less than $100. Any shop doing anything after-market to your car may encounter some problems, but I think these guys run an honest business and have more expertise and know-how than most car electronic places I have dealt with. read more

Honest and Professional. My 2008 factory installed Hyndai Accent radio stopped working one day. Unsure of what to do I went to Best Buy. It just so happened that the day I went to the car radio specialist wasn't in. So the clerk sent me to some other place. When I got there they told me that just look at it would cost me $125. So I decided to go online and do my own research and came across JR Electronics. I actually read a good review so I decided to give them a shot. It was well worth it!! When I walked in I spoke to George (very friendly and clear on explaining the costs before anything was done). He mentioned that it was rare for a factory installed radio to have any problems and offered a free inspection. If they needed to pull out the radio it would cost $25 dollars. Big Difference from the other guy! When Patrick, the radio specialists, looked at the problem he immediately found that the cables in the rear speakers were broken and touching metal. Hence no audio. Worst service: no straight pricing and my car caught fire. Went there 08/24/2013, my car had a failing headlight. Spoke to John and he said it will be $35 for diagnostics. They determined I needed new headlights. John offered them for $516 in a week and $75 minus the $35 I paid it will be $40 for installation. If I need new HID bulbs he said $25 each. I ordered the headlights for $200 off ebay myself. I called John and asked how much for installation, he said $75 since they will not discount the $35, which I found reasonable. New headlights arrived on 08/30, I called John, he said, is usually $100 for installation but he will respect the price he offered. When I got there he said he spoke to the tech and it will be $135 instead of $75. I said I won't pay more than $90 and walked to my car, he said ok we'll do it. Then they determined I needed new HIDs bulbs, which I said "ok, they are $25 each". John said no, they are $50 each, I mentioned, you said $25 the first day, he said "that's without installation". Then he said "ok, if you give me the bulbs that came with your new headlights, I'll give you HIDs for $25 each". I agreed. He said "ok, it's $150", I said "No, $90+$50=$140", he said "You agreed to $100", which I never did, anyways I accepted, just wanting to be done with them already. When paying, I mentioned the lady that I have gotten new HIDs bulbs and the invoice only said labor. I wanted to make sure I get the proper warranty. John got mad and called me apart and said that he was giving me the bulbs for free, and because I mentioned that in front of the boss, he won't be able to pay the tech, unbelievable. As soon as I got into the car I noticed that the computer was indicating that there was a problem with my parking lights but they were already closing. I came back next day, John said, they don't do warranties on Saturdays and to come back on Monday. When I came back on Monday, John was not there, it was his day off. I talked to George, which I think is the owner of the store. The technician said the computer was fine when I left on Friday, which tells me he didn't even check it. I said "no, it wasn't". He seemed mad the whole time that he had to do extra work. They finally realized that I needed some extra resistance and charged me $70 more. Fast forward for Sunday, one headlight went off and as I was driving I see people yelling on the street for me stop that my car was on fire. I put out the fire with an extinguisher and found the ballast and the cancel box hanging close to the front wheel and they had damaged the plastic cover in front of the wheel. I came back to the stored on Tuesday 09/03 and showed then the damage. They said that the fire originated on a cancel box that was an existing part and that they fail every time. One guy offered me to watch some youtube video about it. I said "that cancel box has been on my car for three years and it supposedly failed five days after you replaced the headlights and touched the entire thing, maybe you guys did not properly tied it, maybe it was something else, maybe something is different with the new headlights and there were new requirements". They showed me the box on the other headlight that was tied. However on that headlight the ballast was completely hanging by the wires, they conveniently didn't mention that. Then one the guys said, well it was raining, maybe it was the rain, I said, no, I was in key west, it didn't rain there, then he said, maybe you hit the bumper, no, there was no damage on the bumper. Then I came to George and explained the whole thing to him, I asked him, if the cancel box supposedly fails often, why they didn't warn me of that, since they were rewiring and reinstalling both headlights. His response: "I didn't want the customer to think that we're trying to get more money from them", which I found very disrespectful and a completely failure on them to do their professional duty. I said: "I don't want any fight; I only want my car repaired". Then they said, "we can't replace the plastic cover that was damaged", I said "ok, fix the lights". They said it's $180 for fixing the lights, since you need bulbs, the technician said, not he has bulbs, then they said it's $140 (so, now the bulbs are $20 instead of $50!). I left but then I called George and asked again, I said, "I just need my lights repaired please, I am already out of almost $300 just for your installation and two bulbs". He said $80 is the best thing I can do for you. I went to another shop, they repaired both lights, including the hanging ballast on the no-burned side, replaced the burned cables and fixed other cables that JR had left exposed and without the proper protection. read more

The radio have died while driving & we have been with out it now for couple of months. Now that we are back check Yelp for auto radio repairs & found Manny's Auto sound. Call but did not realise that the shop was close, (late Saturday) leave a message with the problem of the radio. 20 minute's later Manny return the call I explained the radio problem but he could not help me he have move to West Palm Beach, but recommend J.R. Electronics. Visit their shop on a Monday & spoke with Juan explaining the radio problem, he advise to replace the unit but at that time they were not able to do it. Made an appointment for Wednesday Morning. Arrived Wednesday early & make repair order given car keys to the person in charge at 9am. At 10am I was advised that the veh is ready out side & Juan will explain the radio functions (totally different from the factory radio, the manual was inside the box with factory radio). Just to mention that while I waited this is a busy shop. By the way the radio install was $125.00 + tax. The radio was on special for $60.00, so the rest is labor & wire connector's. read more
