We were looking for a light lunch but something nice. We popped into here along with 5 other places on this street and then came back to JP's to get some of their pre-made fresh sandwiches. The restaurant looks really nice and the dinner menu suggests that it is because it has a fresh set menu that changes and is a bit pricey. The rest of the shop is like a gourmet farm shop. Which was an interesting combo.
When we came back they apologised that there wasn't other items for lunch because the chef's son had been ill that morning. They had soup and bread or a few of the sandwiches to go. We got the fresh made gourmet sandwiches from the fridge section, smoked salmon with mayo on a seedy roll and a coronation chicken on a sour dough roll. We bought those plus some crips and were off for benches on the beach to eat our delicious food on a bench. The sandwiches were really tasty and well prices like £2.50 and £3, plus our crips and a drink and we had lunch for 2 for £8.
Would go back again to see what they had on a normal day when the chef's son isn't ill. read more
