I'm writing this review a number of years AFTER the work has been completed, and we are still very satisfied. Tyler came out and looked over our issue, he told us that after replacing the head flashing above the window behind the stucco there "would be no more leak, 100% or we'll come back out and fix it" and not to worry since it's backed by a 1-year guarantee just in case the leak didn't show up until further into the rainy season. Given their online reviews we completely trusted his word and were expecting the same great experience so many others have had. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we were told or expecting. Poor Workmanship & Unauthorized Charges: They ripped out the stucco and installed new flashing, but the workmanship was poor (see photos). When we immediately emailed them with photos and concerns, they dismissed us and ran an unauthorized charge on our card for the balance. It took persistent messaging before they admitted the work was subpar and agreed to fix it. The Leak Wasn't Fixed: Even after the cosmetic "fix" (which still left us to paint the new stucco ourselves), the window leaked the very next time it rained. Misdiagnosis & Upselling: After contacting them multiple times about the continued leaking, they agreed to send a couple guys out to do a "water test" with a garden hose. Less than 15 minutes after arriving, they had quickly determined the issue was actually at the bottom of the window--not the top area they had just charged us $2,395 to repair. Their new solution was to suggest we buy completely new windows. It seems incredibly shady that they didn't perform a simple hose test before ripping out stucco and charging $2,395 for a completely unnecessary repair. While they may have done great work for some others, I would look elsewhere unless you want to spend time and money only to end up worse off than before you hired them.

The company who'd replaced our roof didn't replace the flat part. They said it didn't need to be replaced. It was a rainy day when they collected the check. As soon as they were gone, our family room ceiling opened up and gallons of water poured in. The roofing company agreed to replace the flat roof but they did a sloppy job. I had someone on my roof who was screening off areas where critters could access our attic and they told me that flat roof needed to be replaced, sooner than later. I contacted several companies recommended by people on the Nextdoor app. One company came out to give me a quote but never returned my calls. Another company told me they were only doing roof replacements. I appreciated their honesty. I was very specific when I called roofing companies; I didn't need a new roof. One guy came out and told me he could contact my insurance company and tell them my roof had been damaged from a storm. We'd not had any damage to our roof from storms and that's bordering on insurance fraud. I decided to check out Yelp recommendations and saw that Easton had a lot of good reviews. When I called, they were very nice and told me they'd send someone out. The guys from Easton were there on time and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable so I called to schedule the repair. The workers were very nice, professional, timely and they were there everyday until it was finished. They cleaned up after the repair so I wasn't finding random pieces of roofing material. Everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the guys who did the repair was very nice and the whole process was seamless. Easton completed the repair and after years of checking ceilings, I can finally relax. Another contractor I'd used to remodel our house often needed access to the roof. I didn't ask him to check the flat roof but while he was up there, he wanted to check it out. He assured me they'd done a very good job and then asked for their info so he'd have the name of a good roofing company if one of his clients was looking to replace their roof. When an outstanding contractor is impressed with the work done by another company and asking for the company's info, that says a lot. If we have to replace our roof, we'll definitely use Easton and if anyone needs a roof replacement or repair, I highly recommend them. They've earned those 5 star reviews.

The communication that had been so key early on had faded, and I honestly didn't know if we were on the schedule or had been completely punted. I had to follow up to ensure things were on track. It took multiple weeks to have someone out. I think it's because of the frequent rains throwing off the schedule, but again it felt my messages were sort of going to a void. They gave me about an hours notice when someone was coming out, and he did a really nice job. I was very surprised when I got the bill and it was $125 more than it's ever been in the past. Especially surprising because the email thread we had been going back and forth in had our prior invoice at $275, not at $400. When I asked what was up they cited that it took their employee three hours and my gutters were more clogged than before. To me, nothing has really changed, if anything we have had more trees trimmed back, and more importantly, I didn't know that would affect the cost so dramatically. It had been under a year and half since I last had them out. Had I known, I absolutely would've gone with a more reasonable option. I also felt like their response was a bit off-putting, and I'm surprised because again we've hired them at least three times and I've had such positive interactions up until now. I'll be looking elsewhere moving forward; they do a nice job, and are a professional enough company, but the lack of customer service and shockingly high bill will have me finding a new go-to for my annual gutter cleanings.
