Their background in Structural Engineering is something that is just not offered through normal inspection companies. You will be blown away with the report you recieve after the inspection. I thought I came prepared with a worksheet I created to make sure the major items in this home purchased were covered, needless to say Marvin, my inspector had a much more detailed listing. We went over the home, foundation, electrical, water, roofing, walls, plumbing, on and on and on. If you choose someone other than this company, you will never know what you missed out on. My wife and I were so pleased, and it made the decision to purchase this house with confidence. At the end of the inspection, he pointed out, in his opinion to where we should focus our short and long term possible needs to abbate any issues going forward with our home. JUST AMAZING! However, right before my inspection I found out these other services could not be provided. My home inspector provided great pictures and a lot of issues were in the report. However, my home inspector missed a lot of big concerns. The electrical was all messed up and needed rewiring (not too expensive to fix but this was a missed fire hazard). The new furnace was installed incorrectly and the furnace venting was too small ($5,000 bill). The electrical outlets weren't even grounded. How does a home inspector missed that?? It literally is just putting in a cheap testing device into the outlets to check them.

I would not recommend this company to anyone and strongly advise others to look elsewhere for…read moreinspection services. As a first-time homebuyer, I was referred to this inspection company by my realtor and moved forward with them in good faith, feeling optimistic about the process. Initially, everything seemed to go well. However, that confidence quickly changed after I had a roofer come out to address the repairs noted in the inspection report. The roofer informed me that he would not perform repairs because he could not warranty the work due to the condition of the roof. More concerning, he determined that the roof was approximately 24 years old--not 11 years old as stated in the inspection report. This discrepancy was both shocking and frustrating. I relied on the inspector's assessment and believed I had several more years before needing a full replacement. Had I been given accurate information, I would have negotiated differently during the purchase process. There is a significant difference between planning for minor repairs and facing the immediate cost of a full roof replacement. Unfortunately, I was denied the opportunity to make an informed decision. When I contacted the company to discuss this issue, I spoke with the owner/manager and was told that I should have "hired a professional." This response was both dismissive and concerning. The purpose of hiring a home inspection company is to receive professional, reliable guidance. Buyers depend on these assessments when making major financial decisions. If I hired a professional roofer, electrician, plumber, etc, inspection companies would be out of a job. While there were other inaccuracies I discovered later, this issue alone has been the most costly and disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
