I would not recommend this company to anyone and strongly advise others to look elsewhere for inspection services. As a first-time homebuyer, I was referred to this inspection company by my realtor and moved forward with them in good faith, feeling optimistic about the process. Initially, everything seemed to go well. However, that confidence quickly changed after I had a roofer come out to address the repairs noted in the inspection report. The roofer informed me that he would not perform repairs because he could not warranty the work due to the condition of the roof. More concerning, he determined that the roof was approximately 24 years old--not 11 years old as stated in the inspection report. This discrepancy was both shocking and frustrating. I relied on the inspector's assessment and believed I had several more years before needing a full replacement. Had I been given accurate information, I would have negotiated differently during the purchase process. There is a significant difference between planning for minor repairs and facing the immediate cost of a full roof replacement. Unfortunately, I was denied the opportunity to make an informed decision. When I contacted the company to discuss this issue, I spoke with the owner/manager and was told that I should have "hired a professional." This response was both dismissive and concerning. The purpose of hiring a home inspection company is to receive professional, reliable guidance. Buyers depend on these assessments when making major financial decisions. If I hired a professional roofer, electrician, plumber, etc, inspection companies would be out of a job. While there were other inaccuracies I discovered later, this issue alone has been the most costly and disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. Recently moved from IL to Howell, MI One month after the "inspection" we had to replace the furnace as the heat exchange was cracked. Most of the crank out windows did not work- we had to pay to have those repaired. There was a leak under the kitchen sink but never found it as he, evidently, didn't bother to turn on the water which the owner had turned off. As soon as we realized the water was turned off and we turned it on, the leak was obvious and I'm not a professional inspector. Had to replace the roof almost immediately when mold was found in the attic - found just by standing on the attic stairs and shining a flashlight on the walls. We spent $20,000 on repairs that could have been caught with a proper inspection. Please don't waste your money. It will cost you. read more

He broke our garbage disposal ! It was working fine , as a matter of fact it was not even one year old yet. This inspector had some wires of sorts in the sink when he was testing the water which was weird looking but I did not mind because he was supposedly testing the water. When he was finished he wrote on the inspection report that some thing was wedged in disposal . NOTHING was wedged in it immediately BEFORE the inspection and I was the last person at that sink. I promise you that it was in excellent working order .Hmmmmmm. ... So we had to pay 250 for a new disposal for the buyer since their ( this ) Home Inspector broke ours. Nice. I put a hair catcher in my tub ( I know -gross- but only because we dont want hair going down our drains. This "inspector" couldnt even tell that this was an additional device in drain to stop hair and immediatley said the drains are slow so you will want to ask seller to roter root them. Geeez. My drains are fine. OH. And there were several other statements that were inaccurate on the report. We had an electrician and plumber to our house to check it even before he came. They said everything looked great ! We even paid them to do a couple small things when they were there. I guess he think he needs to pull things out of his hat so he earns his fee. I heard this isnt the first time he has broken something at a house so I felt obligated to post here. We had Value Check for our first new home. Mark missed a birds nest in the attic that was visible from the ladder that ended up costing over $1,700 to remove. Also missed two leaking toilets and a cracked window. Spent money on him to inspect a house but was not worth it. I would NOT recommend. read more
