I called the plumbing company and explained the situation. The "manager" told me, well I didn't bill you, did I? He was condescending and was rude, almost ready for a confrontation right out the gate. He is a poor example of someone in a leadership position. I will never use this company again.

I exacerbated a tiny drip in my master bathroom toilet into a small stream, flooding the bathroom, and sending water through the ceiling (inadvertently setting off smoke detectors!). Thankfully, I was able to contain the flood and shut the water off, but I knew I was out of my element. Having mitigated the emergency, I quickly scheduled my appointment with Putman & Sons for the following Monday. To my surprise, Jeff arrived a half-hour early after I received both a text and call from the main office, and a call from Jeff himself. This was easily the most communicative a contractor has ever been with me. Jeff was polite and professional, quickly laying out his strategy for solving the problem while I hammered him with every plumbing question on my mind (not just toilet-related). In about an hour, he had fixed the original leak, resealed the toilet, and satisfied my plumbing curiosities. In total, the cost was ~$200, which was perfectly reasonable, in my opinion, especially considering I think the whole ordeal took closer to an hour and 15 minutes. Thanks for a great experience!

They were investigated by the state of Michigan for operating illegally and multiple counts of fraud have been added. Once their court date comes up they will be shut down. Told me nobody does copper repairs anymore (lie), also said pex is better (lie), and pex lasts longer (lie). Come to find out that the work was done by 2 apprentices without any supervision from a journeyman or master plumber which is illegal. One of the workers wasnt even a licensed apprentice when he worked on my gf house. He got his license 7 days later! Stay far away from this company.

It turns out that I would need to replace the water heater. Paul told me what water heater brands he felt were best and the fittings I would need to get to complete the job. Paul's work was excellent. He arrived a little early, which was fine was fine and completed the job quickly and with great attention to detail. The installation looks great. And he saved my a lot of money over other plumbers. And he took the old heater with him, so I didn't have to go through the aggravation of having to deal with getting Priority trash collection to pick it up special. And I didn't have to leave it lay around in my garage and driveway until they could pick it up. I recommend Paul and Sigma Pro highly for all pluming work and will use them again when the need arises. I have a high level of confidence in my new water heater and the installation. I received and estimate from Shelby Mechanical of 1,100.00 to go under the house and replace these pipes. I had G&C Sewer and Plumbing come out, for a 2nd opinion, and did not tell them anything of what Shelby Mechanical told me. After 5 minutes he came out and said "the drain is clear". I said "that's it"? He said "yes, usually sink plugs are fast to correct. He charged me 125.00 and it's been 4 days now everything appears to be just fine and running like normal.
