This is a review for services that I purchased many years ago that went sideways in every possible way, and why I've never used them since. I gave them my wedding dress to preserve and paid them a substantial amount of money, years later I was giving the dress to a friend's daughter to use for her wedding, and when they opened up the box and saw that all they did was roll the dress up in a ball and never cleaned it, never did anything they promised to do to preserve it, they left it in worse condition than I brought it in to them.. I have been going here for 17 years. They have been great and I have never had a problem. We have taken shirts, pants, suits, sweaters, a cape, an alb, you name it. Prices have always been reasonable. Ownership changed hands at least once over that time. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews on businesses but this lady wasted both our time. Came in to get tailoring on a pair of pants & as she was getting ready to pin, I asked the price, she said $20 then she said "do you wanna do it or not".. AYOO somebody having a bad day smh I proceeded to ask to see how it'll look first then lady has the audacity to say "I don't wanna do extra work if you don't want, $20 or no?" I just walked out.. I took my amiri pants along with my Louis Vuitton coat, never again!!! The lady came out with the wrong items and insisted it was mines, I even showed a picture of the items and the lady told me to go f myself, very unprofessional and disappointing. read more

I used to take my clothes here years ago but stopped because they weren't even cleaning them. My dresses were returned to me with BO still in the armpits and it seemed to get worse every time I brought it to them. This is the absolute worst cleaners in town. First off, their customer service is horrible. The lady was really rude to me on several occasions and i shrugged it off. Then, after i took 3 items in and she only brought out two. I told her I had three and she kept insisting it was only two and when i showed her my receipt she brushed me off again. She did not one damn that she lost my black jeans and would mot refund me the cost or give me a credit. The lack of accountability was shocking!!!! I recently took my wedding dress here along with some accessories that meant so much to me. I was confident that I would have the one thing that I have left worth of memories being my wedding dress but I was sadly mistaken. When my husband went to pick up my dress she wrapped it in a plastic bag which I left my David Bridal bag in hopes that she would put it back in. She lost my shug, to my wedding dressing, all around it was the worst experience ever. I do not recommend to anyone. Especially sentimental items. I will never return here. read more

How in the world can you justify charging $11 to press a uniform??? This is just absolutely ridiculous. Most reasonably priced cleaners will charge $2.50-$3 a garment. But $5.50/garment to just press...Not even dry clean!!! Never again will I use this overpriced place. read more

This establishment engages in discriminatory practices, charging women higher prices for same service as men. I am willing to pay more for a silk blouse, but a JCrew cotton oxford which is identical to a man's oxford should be equal in price. I asked multiple times for equal pricing saying if I was not charged fairly I would never go here again and was told I would be charged for all women's clothing at a higher price than men. I have no issues with the quality of cleaning provided. read more

I called ahead to see how quickly I could have two shirts dry cleaned and was told, the following day at 2:00 PM if I could get there before they closed at 7:00. I rushed over to drop off the shirts and was told it couldn't be done that quickly. After explaining/arguing what I was told on the phone, she agreed to do so. When I picked up the shirts the next day the charge was $8 for 2 shirts which is a lot and I would be ok with had they done a good job. However, the shirts seemed like they'd been cleaned but not at all pressed and have spots on them that weren't there before I dropped them off. They are wrinkled enough that they are borderline unwearable. I will not return and would certainly recommend going elsewhere if this place can't handle something as simple as 2 dress shirts. A very disappointing experience. read more

I've tried other places that were cheaper because JP was a bit expensive... but the clothes never came out right. And if I'm going to spend $500 on a suit, it doesn't really matter to me to spend $15 to clean it. read more

I was a customer for about a year until my clothes started to come out with ink blots on the back. The owners claimed they didn't do it, but the shirts didn't have the ink blot when I brought them in. Nice people, but 2 shirts became damaged and I couldn't afford to do business with them any longer. read more

This is the absolute worst cleaners I have ever been to. Do not patronize this business. The clerk at the front desk was very rude when I inquired about the price of items that I wanted to be clean. She asked why I was inquiring about the price Of an item that she charge me $12 to press not even clean just press and told me I was being rude. Worst experience ever read more

JP Dry Cleaning & Laundry. They always do a great job. They always have my clothes ready for pick-up when they said they would. Been going to them for a few years now. Satisfied with their quality of work, nice friendly staff. Their prices seem to be better (lower) then most other Dry Cleaners around Torrance. My average price is about $3.18 per article. That's a mix of jacket, pants and shirts, Dry Clean and laundry. read more

There was an ownership change a few years ago, and I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but my clothes have been coming out so much cleaner than before! I was relocated elsewhere for the past year and used different dry cleaning services, and I could really tell then that JP dry cleans their clothes very well. The quality is superb, and the lady at the counter is so sweet and friendly! She truly knows what she's talking about when she explains her services to me, and the alterations are great. I can pretty much ask for any kind of alteration to be done to my clothes, and it gets done. Definitely would recommend this place. read more

I rarely go on yelp to post a review, but I had to in this case. I went over to to Jp cleaners for the first time the other day because I had been backed up in all my dry cleaning. The people there were so accommodating and of course all my clothes came back perfect. Definitely a place to go if ever need your clothes altered or dry cleaned! read more
