I don't shop for brand name clothing, I buy what flatters and compliments my body, is well designed and executed, stylish and within my budget. I wasn't looking for anything in particular but I was excited to see jeans in so many different colors- right on trend! They also have some cute tops too but they are poorly made. I wouldn't waste my money on them. They'd be rags after 3 wash cycles. I purchased a pair of dark washed denim/leggings. Super cute and fit perfectly. I also purchased three pairs of leggings @ $15 a piece - the same skinny leggings sold at American Apparel @ lie $40 a piece. I bought black, navy blue, and bright royal blue. I will definitely be back for more colors and they work in any season! I don't shop there for anything else except for jeans and leggings. For well made tops I go to Uniqlo, Zara, H&M or Gap.

As I was paying I saw that there was a small rip in the dress where the seams fell apart and pointed this out to the cashier, who immediately took $7 off my $23 dress. But when I went home and tried it on, it ended up being too big so the very next day, I took it back to the store, thinking I'll just exchange it for something else. I made 2 big discoveries that next day - 1) the store HAS A FITTING ROOM!! I surmise that i was told otherwise just the night before because the store was near closing time and they couldn't be bothered with something as trivial as customers, and 2) the cashier, who turned out was the manager of the store, flat out lied to me. He remembered me but REFUSED to let me exchange the dress on the grounds that he had given me a discount due to the ripped seams, and therefore the item was a final sale. Hearing that for the first time, I kindly reminded him of the situation - I was not allowed to try on the dress, I was explicitly told that I could exchange it for another item in the store, I could swear I was never told it was a final sale, and I was asking to exchange it for the $15 I paid for it less than 24 hours ago for another item IN HIS store! NO. That was the final answer. By then, it wasn't even a matter of the dress or the $15 anymore. It was only $15! I didn't care about that, but never in my life have I been lied to and had such an awful experience at a retail store. And by a MANAGER! I was just disgusted with what they call customer service. I wonder if that $15 was worth losing what would've otherwise been a repeat customer for life. Because for certain, that is ONE store I will never step foot into again.

CEGO The Sock Hop is unique because everything gets done in house, Reza, Vincent and Ted measure you, talk to you and most importantly listen to you... They make the shirt onsite in their store (and if you know about the custom shirt business, you know how hard this is to find, the shirt doesn't go half way around the world). The turn around time is ridiculous; almost un-believable! I got my shirt done in less than a week, and when i tried it on, it was perfect. No alterations needed, nothing. One fitting and it fits like a glove. The price is well worth it, still less than say a PINK made to order shirt. This is truly a Gem - the clean lines and fit on my shirt reflect some thing special! What takes all this up a notch is the fact that the guys here are warm and friendly. Thanks Guys! I cant wait to phase out all my shirts - my quest for the perfect shirt has finally ended. But the experience is not overwhelming because Reza, Vincent, and Luke have tremendous experience with mens shirts. I've gotten dress shirts and casual shirts from them. The fabrics for the dress shirts that I have tried are truly remarkable: sea island cotton for the summer, broadcloth, pinpoint, and even a subtle herringbone. And the casual shirts are impressive in their own right. If you can dream it, The Hop will help you make it. The oxford shirt I got here, is made from such a nice heavy fabric that it puts all of my other oxfords to shame.
