I was in need of a HASA…read moreapproved apartment and she gathered my contact details from a online post I placed, she contacted me via text and replied via CL link with all her details letting me know her interest in helping me find my new place with units in all boroughs such as : Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan. At the beginning she showed a quick and timely response to all my messages and told she had one Studio in the Bronx. About five days later I followed up with her regarding a Studio unit she claimed to have available, she proceeded to ask me about my employment status (as a HASA client she should know how it work). As soon as that conversation via text ended, Eve completely went silent, no follow up, no messages with updates ,etc. It took me to 24 hours to notice the change in her communication patterns and "ghosting" me. I messaged her to confirm a Sunday Studio visit she had so much wanted me to see. Eve responded " the homeowner has another application..." Ok, that's fair but why did it take me to reach out to her first regarding the status, in order for Eve to tell me of the change in homeowners mind. Twenty-four hours later no messages, no correspondence, no updates!! Extremely unprofessional, poor communication skills particularly when you didn't hear what you liked to hear from a HASA client?? I had a strange feeling about her and she confirmed that she was unprofessional, lack of maturity as a realtor and just simply not the Realtor or Realty I would recommend to anyone specially clients of HASA. I will be sharing my experience with the Executive Director of HASA so they don't send clients to this realty going forward.

He will be honest with you throughout -- always direct and never smarmy. He will return every call and text. He will help you understand the whole process, even the stuff you didn't know that you didn't know. He'll send you matches through the app and respond to your comments so when you are finally ready, he knows what you're looking for. Jeff will take you to see houses and will teach you about looking for water in the basement, checking out drainage and the foundation, warning signs and potential 'challenges', as well as being able to answer your questions about septic vs cesspool, how much electric you really need, sussing out if there is gas on the street (for a later stove conversion), and telling you how old the roof is just by looking at it. And any other questions you might have! If he doesn't know the answer, he will find out. He is so thorough and eagle-eyed that you can get excited about the hardwood floors and eat-in kitchen, knowing that Jeff will spot EVERYthing you need to be aware of. He's also really personable which helps when you're spending entire weekend days with someone. We had one crushing disappointment along the way -- not his fault -- and Jeff's straightforward "Okay, that's in the past, let's move forward" attitude was key in getting us right back out there (and we found our house THAT weekend.) He will guide you through the entire process, through closing, and make you feel -- the whole time -- pretty much like you are his only client. Once you close, and you need an electrician, a floors guy, a painter, whatever, Jeff 'has a guy' and if he doesn't, he won't quit until he finds you someone. I am a current resident of West River Apartments. My experience with the office and maintenance…read morestaff has been great. However, Eagle Rock Management desperately needs to modernize the property incorporating technology that I thought was standard for most apartment complexes. In my time here I have continually run into issues that could have been easily avoided. The resident portal is continually experiencing issues that will not allow you to log in and the office hours online are not kept up to date. The mail room needs to have electronic codes like an Amazon locker or keyed boxes so tenants can easily access their packages. It can only be unlocked by the office staff which means that you will have to get in line and hope that a future resident is not currently getting a tour or the office staff is not at lunch. There is no electronic lease option. This means every tenant has to physically make it into the office to sign a paper lease every year which can be a hassle for residents who work odd hours. The paper lease is incredibly long which is a sad waste of resources printing out a copy for every resident. I'm disappointed that Eagle Rock Management is not more environmentally friendly when it comes to cutting paper waste and their recycling on the premises is a joke. There are 4 small recycling bins that are meant to serve the entire complex. They are always overflowing and get blown over by the wind. This complex sits at the top of a hill. At the base of the hill is a tributary that flows into the Schuylkill River. Part of Philadelphia's drinking water comes from the Schuylkill River. The Schuylkill flows to the Delaware River then to the Atlantic Ocean so every time the small recycling bins get knocked over some bottles and trash blow across the street and into the stream. This is contributing to the degradation of Philly's drinking water and adding to the total amount of plastics in the ocean. Eagle Rock Management needs to take responsibility for protecting the environment around their property. Larger recycling bins need to be put in. It seems like Eagle Rock Management does not value the time of their tenants or staff. Many of these issues can easily be resolved but they have not been. The staff is continually running around to perform these errands that technology can assist them with. The office staff seems overworked and run thin performing this busy work. It also seems like the staff has to work a lot of the holidays that I have off, which makes it seem like they are not appreciated. It is awkward having the office staff on site on a holiday knowing they are not with their family, instead they are spending the holiday waiting to unlock a mail room for me as a tenant. I see how hard this office staff works every day and they should have every holiday off. I hope that Eagle Rock Management learns to value their staff and invests in their future by resolving some of these issues.
