If I can give NO STAR as a review I would! The broker Don is a thief!! Not only did he lie about…read morewhat he was charging for his commission but he also ripped me off! He refuses to refund my money (his broker fee). I found out I'm pregnant and told him I will not be moving into the apartment after all. The landlord was sincerely a nice guy, he did the right thing and refunded me all my money. However the crook of a realtor named Don will not refund my money. Meanwhile he is going to be listing the apartment again and getting an additional commission. He didn't earn my commission, I did not move in. I didn't realize I was in the business now to just write checks out to random people for doing absolutely nothing for me!?! ! I really need that money back, I have a baby on the way. I have tried reaching out to him but all he does now is ignore me. He is a lying pos thief!! NEVER I MEAN NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HIM!! Stay far away from Long Island finest homes and run I mean RUN FROM DON SCWARTZBUTZ POS Shady low life liar con artist!!

I would not recommend business with this company when Gigi Bowman is one that represents the kind…read moreof people who work for them. I'm currently renting a property she listed last year where she vouched for our landlord to be a responsible landlord, therefore, we put our trust in her and wrote her a check and signed the lease. There was even a broken window that she assured would be taken care of immediately. Fast forward 9 months later and not only do we still have a window just covered by cardboard, but we we've also encountered several problems with the property such as a flooding basement, broken sprinklers and more! We notified the landlord and Gigi, but he's proven himself to be an absentee landlord with no movement on repairs and, despite my inclusion of Gigi on multiple emails with the owner/landlord, she's chosen to ignore my emails and not acknowledge my problems with the house or landlord nor provide any form of assistance between myself and the landlord. As THE listing agent for this property, I find her unwillingness to intervene (even just a little bit), irresponsible and indicative of her character as a realtor. If you're reading this review, I strongly discourage you to do any business with her or ANY company she represents as she's only proven herself to be untrustworthy and in it for the money. She has shown to say anything to have you "seal the deal" and then no longer help at all as soon as she's received her commission.

He is, without a doubt, the most patient, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented realtor I've ever worked with (and just a lovely person to boot). Roman took the time to truly understand what we were looking for and worked tirelessly to ensure that every option aligned with our needs. He made us feel comfortable and confident at every step - always listening, answering questions with care, and offering practical advice when viewing apartments. When we finally found *our* apartment, he was with us every step of the way, helping us assemble an outstanding team of professionals who made the process seamless. He expertly managed the complex coop application, ensuring that we felt completely organized and prepared at each stage. Having him in our corner when we encountered roadblocks or issues, made the overwhelming moments feel far more manageable. We are incredibly grateful for his guidance in helping us find our forever home and for the team he built around us. I wholeheartedly recommend Roman to anyone searching for an apartment or home (and have already done so multiple times). Do yourself a favor--work with Roman!

I lived at Avalon Pines in Coram for a year. Avalon Bay owns/manages them. It's really a shame to…read morehave to say this, because apparently they're one of the best property management companies in the nation but: 1) they didn't enforce pet restrictions on my neighbors 2) they lost my rent check one month and then threatened to evict me 3) they took forever with repairs 4) they never hooked up the utilities properly, so we ended up paying tons of money in extra fees 5) after we got the whole rent thing straightened out they barely apologized. 6) the office staff is frequently unprofessional and closes the office early to go to happy hour. Don't live here. The complexes look pretty but are very cheaply built. For a lot of the housing in this region, if you're looking for a cheap apartment, you might actually do better living in someone's basement.

I have lived at Avalon Crescent apartments in McLean, VA for 3 years now…read more Things that I disklike: 1) Every single year they have raised our rent . Last year they raised it by $200 a month. Now they are raising it again by $200 a month. Why that's probably because of demand right? Nope! They have over 20 vacant apartments. They raise your rent thinking you won't want to deal with another move, thinking you'll just suck it up... Which we did for 3 years but we are done with this insanity. 2) Repairs... my A/C breaks at the beginning of every summer and a few times during. It still doesn't run correctly. My heat breaks before every winter. My hot water... don't get me started. 3) The amenities. Like most people I work all day and I'm home in the evenings. They raise the basketball hoop in the gym when they go home so "unwanted" people who have been sneaking in don't play on it. Well what about me? The guy who pays for this? The pool is a joke. It is a shallow pool with nothing to do. I have more fun in my bathtub than this pool. 4) Packages that get delivered to the front office, I have NEVER once been notified that I have a package. Good thing I keep stopping by to check. 5) Gate access. Broken at random times. Vehicles block the keyfob readers so you have to wait until they get out of the way or until you get sick of waiting and get out of your car and walk up to the reader (fun to do this in the rain by the way). OR you can simply pay $75 (non-refundable) for the "remote" keyfob. 6) My neighbor screaming at his girlfriend at random times in the middle of the night. I keep waiting for gunshots. Seriously. I haven't seen him in over a month so I think he finally moved his butt out or she threw him out. Whichever, I don't care. I finally sleep better. Oh wait, no I don't. Thanks to of all the construction across the street that started last year. 7) The yapping dog on the second floor. Really? No one has complained about this dog who barks on a never ending loop? I'm beginning to think it's a joke and someone has it on iTunes and it's on repeat 24/7. 8) The neighbors who don't clean up after their dogs in the common areas. Or that entire peach that sat on the stairwell for 2 weeks until it become a bio-hazard and the government had to step in and tell Avalon to get it cleaned up. (I'm exaggerating about the government part) Things that I like: 1) I like that I am leaving.

Her quick response time to any and every question we had is proof of her relentless work ethic and dedication to her clients. One small example of this was when she had hip surgery and was still showing us homes on crutches!! From the moment we met her up until our closing, we felt confident that we had someone advocating for our best interest. We have already recommended her to several of our friends and will continue to recommend her without reservation. On a personal and professional level, she is wonderful beyond words. Lora, thank you for making what seemed, at some points, to be an impossible feat, a reality! We are forever grateful. From the bottom of our hearts, Kathy and Anthony

We are first time home buyers with no experience with home buying. She led us through the entire way, answered all our questions, and when things became confusing, I always knew all I had to do was text Safia, and she would sort things out. She was always available via text or phone call, and her positive and upbeat attitude was very much appreciated. It was nice to have someone you could count on, since both of us work full time jobs, without a lot of time to devote to the whole process. You could really tell she cared about her work and her clients, always with our best interest in mind. I would recommend her again in a heartbeat to anyone looking to purchase a home. In some ways, now that we have closed and are moving in, I feel sad that we won't be in as much contact anymore, that's how great a person she is!
