I can not recommend that anyone with sexual or medical trauma go to this clinic. However, you might be like me and consider the fact that you might actually get pregnant at the end of all of this to be worth the re-traumatizing vaginal torture. I guess it just depends on how desperate you are. Like many people living with trauma, I feel like I am a bad person for speaking out against people who hurt me, in this case the examination team at this clinic. However, at the same time, I believe like potential patients must know about previous patient experiences so they can make informed choices. My first experience was easy, painless and felt safe. 5/5 My second experience was horrible, painful and traumatizing. 0/5 2.5 overall... so far. --------- UPDATE: I am going to formally complain about my horrible experience with the clinic and then with CPSO because this treatment is not acceptable. UPDATE#2: We really like our actual doctor at this clinic, and after talking with her about my horrible experience and her explaining to us how the clinic is responding to my complaint, we are going to continue going to this clinic. She is very informative and explains options and allows us to chose which treatment plan we feel most comfortable with.

They decide what happens to your embryos that dont make the "cut". They decide what plan or protocol you are to follow even though it is the exact same as 10000 other woman. Nothing is unique to you. Nurses cause a huge amount of confusion and errors. They each interpret and act on their interpretations which are all differently. Ohh yeah. If you have money issues, they do *@$kall to help but they will with hold treatments and your eggs till they get paid in full upfront. They will pester you at every chance till they get it. They will make notes onyour chart and they will send letters every week and month till you pay. You are not a patient but a customer. The doctors communiate the least with the "customer" and you have to go through medically uneducated staff (always) to get to the doctor. Doctors are full of the information which they with hold. They dont teach or share information with patients, even if you ask but they expect you to trust them. Go to another clinic like Trio. Their doctors are informative and really show they care. I wasted so much money and valuable time at Mt Sinai Fertlity!

She was always responsive and called me outside work hours to address my concerns. She kept me motived and got me to being pregnant with a healthy baby. I love Dr. Glass. Her staff Michelle is a very kind hearted, empathetic and very prompt Admin, she will get your work done in no time and she is very responsive and respectful. It makes a huge difference.

All tests and ultrasounds were simple quick and well explained. However we did wait 1 year and 8 months to do a full ivf treatment. I assume it is like this most places but I'm not sure as I haven't looked elsewhere. My fertility doctor isn't elaborate enough and I do have to ask several questions to be sure I understand what is being said. The nurses are very kind and patient with you and will answer any and all questions. It is very clean in their office and parking isn't bad if you arrive slightly early in the day. Most places around this clinic are all restaurants so parking can be harder later in the evening.

Afterwards, you would need to do blood tests, ultrasounds, sonohysterogram, semen analysis, etc. The good news is that you could do ALL OF THAT at Markham Fertility Centre. It's like your one stop shop for all. While Markham Fertility Centre is in a building beside the hospital, it is NOT in the hospital. It is on the fifth floor and the whole floor is where you'll meet your doctors and do your tests. There is parking across the building is $8/hour, and the office runs pretty on time, so you don't have to worry about sitting for hours waiting for you turn. At the writing of this review, no, I am not pregnant and am not planning to at this very moment, as I need to work on some other health concern. What I am very pleased about is that Dr. Garcia was super supportive of me taking the time to focus on my health before trying to get pregnant. Her staff is attentive and sends you emails to follow up with your next steps when you are ready. Some of my friends tell me that they have not heard from their fertility doctor, but Dr. Garcia and her team are always checking in and following up with us. Overall, I am super grateful to be under the care of Dr. Garcia and her team. Without a hesitation, I would totally recommend, if you are having trouble getting pregnant, to get a referral to see her! You won't regret this decision! A small tip for my ladies: When they tell you take a pain killer before your sonohysterogram--it's not a joke, DO IT! The procedure was PAINFUL, but thankfully, it only lasted 2 mins. ;)

One time I got to the clinic and checked in only to find out the front desk staff who started eatting her pinepapples at the desk had never checked me in. You almost never see the doctor. They try to force IVF. I don't even trust them with anything. They probably intentionally spoil medication to keep people coming back because nothing works for most of their patients. This place needs to be shut down or have someone examine the program and why the fail rate is so high for pregnancy.

Hannam Facility Centre has little face time with the actual patient/client and it is much like a…read moreconveyor belt of women walking from bloodwork to ultrasound then out, no additional human interaction/consultation - I am not bothered by this though as I appreciate to just get in and out fast. But others may find it a bit cold and impersonal. The consistent issue that I experienced was poor and miscommunication. They never wrote anything down, just called or left voicemails with information relayed and asked me to write it down. This included lab results and medications, doses etc. I found this to be sketchy and does not align with best practices in healthcare at all. If I asked any follow-up questions via email, they seemed to not ever know my information well, even though the email was going to my specific health team. They also gave me incorrect information/misdirection a few times that luckily I caught and was able to clarify before it ended up being an issue. The worst experience that I had was when I was to do one more retrieval and they emailed me to let me know that everything was "ready to go" for the transfer day and then the next day sent a message that I had an appointment to start the prep for the next cycle. This was very stressful for me because we only had one frozen embryo at that time and I didn't want any errors with it. When I asked for them to look into this and clarify, the nurse said she couldn't look into my information at that time and needed to check "if I in fact had a viable embryo". This was a really emotional and distressing experience. I did in fact had an embryo and they never acknowledged their error or apologize for the miscommunication. In fact, they didn't acknowledge any of there errors throughout the process. I spoke with the manager about it and she agreed that was not professional and apologized for them and noted she would follow-up with me afterwards and never did, even after I tried to follow-up with her. I honestly did not expect much, but acknowledgement and an apology from my health team. Lastly, they overcharged us with pretty much every invoice but did not reimburse us until the end of our time with them. We asked if this could be transparent on the invoices/receipts so we knew how much they were overcharging us, but they said no. By the end, there was almost $7000.00 owed back to us. Overall the experience was poor, lacked professionalism and most importantly the practices do not align with basic health care best practices (I know because I work in health care). If you do go with Hannam as your IVF choice, be sure to keep track of everything and don't hesitate to connect with them to follow-up if something does not look right.

My wife and I have been trying to have children with the support of a Fertility Doctor for over 2…read moreyears. Recently our doctor changed clinics and is now at LifeQuest and things have gone right downhill! Our interaction with our Doctor now almost nonexistent and we are instead "supported" by a nursing staff that does not read our file, ignores our treatment history, and we frequently catch in lies. What's worse is when confronted, they don't acknowledge the lie but just hang up! Our calls are never answered. Our voice mails seldom responded to and often with minimal information requiring guesswork on our own part as to the intentions of the Doctor. The on staff Doctors carry big names for Toronto but the increased stress from the nursing staff could be a reason for continued infertility! Look elsewhere, we are.
