The customer service was phenomenal. Richard at the Joybird Chicago location was able to inspire and locate pieces according to each room of the new home. If a price point was too high he would suggest a similar piece at a more comfortable price point. Very responsive to emails as well as accommodating for obstacles. End to end white glove service he arranged the purchasing and scheduling of delivery dates that made the whole process much smoother. Of all of the furniture stores I highly recommend Joybird. Although the price point may be a little higher the difference in quality of furniture and customer service is unmatched. 5/5 read more

My review is based on my in-store and ordering experience. I still can't bring myself to order furniture unseen, so it was very important for me to get to the store after having read good things about Joybird. Anna was AMAZING and extremely personable. I was deciding between 2 couches, and although they only had 1 of them on display, she did a perfect job of going through all the similarities/differences between the 2, and even suggested a 3rd couch that I might like. She really knows her stuff, took the time to go through all my options, and helped me choose a pet-friendly fabric. She gave me suggestions without ever once being pushy (something I've experienced too often at other furniture stores). I ended up placing my order in-store thanks to Anna. Processing time is quite long at ~10-12 weeks, but I think that it is expected given the custom fabric and COVID delays across the industry. I plan to update my review once the whole delivery process is complete and and I've had my furniture long enough to comment on the quality! read more

Kevin was amazing at helping me with my order for a Wilder Sleeper Sofa! He went as far as showing me the fabrics I was eyeing in different lights, and had a lot of knowledge about them as far as cleanability. It was great to have the piece of furniture there in the showroom, along with a sleeper sofa example to get a better feel for how that will affect my order. I snagged quite the deal with their President's Day extended sale, so I really feel like I am ordering a great piece for an awesome price. The buy now, decide later feature is great for locking in those deals and then bringing a swatch kit home to decide on a good palette. This review is solely in reflection of our experience with Matthew and his team. We ordered a couch through Joybird on their e-commerce site and unfortunately ran into a few issues upon delivery... The corporate team, which we were required to communicate with since it was an e-commerce order, was unfathomably unhelpful and excessively slow to respond/nearly impossible to get a hold of. I won't divulge the details as nobody here (I hope) would have time to read through it all. Upon visiting the local showroom out of sheer desperation for a solution, Matthew did the best he could to take ownership of the issue, albeit it was to no fault of his own. He was immensely helpful, quick to respond, and assured us that he'd work hard to find us the solution we were looking for. I imagine if we had waited a couple of weeks for the showroom to open and placed our order through the brick and mortar store, we would have a much different experience. We ordered a couch from the national store online and once our card was charged, we barely heard from the national office. We needed to simply reschedule our delivery date (weeks in advance) and never heard back even after several emails and phone calls. My gf and I arrived with one goal in mind but we were cutting it close. We arrived exactly 15 minutes before the doors closed for the day thinking that all we wanted to do was to sit on one couch we saw online. I am so happy we came into the joybird showroom. We had the opportunity to to see all of the beautiful designs and fabrics in person. We ended up finding the perfect sectional for our apartment thanks to the individual attention that Richard provided us. He listened to our needs (particular as they were) and pulled out a tape measure to help us envision the couch in our space. Richard helped us lock in the special pricing and set up the order right there in the showroom. He thoroughly explained the process and the warranty to us. Ordered a bed from Joybird and when it was delivered the headboard was damaged. The Upholstery had a 2 square inch tear that looked unrepairable the padding was visible and the material was basically shredded. The box was damaged so something obviously pierced the box and damaged the bed. I contacted customer service and was not impressed with the service I received. I was told to send pictures to them which I did. Their response was that they would offer me 69.11 to keep the bed!!!!! This was a 1300 bed. I suggest avoiding this company. Loved the couch I sat in in the showroom. Was so excited. Scheduled my delivery. The morning of I get a call that only half of the couch was coming. I asked to be transferred to someone who could help me. She said no. It was impossible she only worked with shipping and delivery. I tried to get in contact with customer service. They were unaware of the problem. I pressed for it to be resolved immediately. I get delivered half a couch and still no one is helping me or telling me when I can expect my full couch. The worst customer service I've ever had with any company. Absolutely abysmal. No refund. No updates on email or call or social media. No discount. Just absolutely awful. Don't order from them. A++++ for Anna at the Chicago store!!!! 1 month in and I am L I T E R A L L Y obsessed with my Holt Sectional. I spent 2 years going to stores, looking a reviews and debating which couch to choose as this was going to be my first big purchase in my apartment. I finally went in at the beginning of the year and Anna at the Chicago location helped me from start to finish pick out my color and couch. I went in with a completely different color and couch in mind but end up leaving with this one. I am sooooooooo happy with the color and size I choose. Anna- thank you so much for helping me along the process from switching my delivery date, answering all my questions. I have read a lot of reviews on joybird and I was a little nervous with the delivery but honestly, it was amazing. Less than 20 minutes to deliver and set up. The only complaint that I have is that they should not use chalk to mark the holes where to put your sectional together. By the time mine arrived and was moved around, the chalk was not there and it took me a really long time to figure out where the holes were supposed to go. The only reason I am not giving 0 stars is that I have to give at least 1 I bought the Anton daybed in Chicago. Please do yourselves a favor and find a reputable furniture company from the multitude of companies that exist, and do not waste your time with this garbage. The couch that I purchased is insanely uncomfortable. It dips in the back. Sounds fine, right? It's not. You cannot lay down on it without being on an incline. Sounds awfully strange for something that has dayBED in the title. I purchased it thinking the reviews were maybe exaggerating the dip, it is called a daybed after all. You should be able to at least lay down on it right? It is legit a sharp incline, with the frame sticking into you in the middle of the couch. No laying down. Right now it's just sitting in my house as a space suck because Joybird will not allow me to return it nor exchange it for something that does not require you to sit on an uncomfortable slant. We've owned ours for about a year now, and no one ever uses it due to how awful it is. Even with little to no use the cushions are completely worn down - due to the design of this couch there is very little protecting a person from the frame that juts out underneath. All around awful. The customer service was legit probably the worst I have ever received. I would never purchase from here again. They told me that since I was outside of the warranty I could not do anything. Yes friends, I was outside of the warranty because it took them months past the date they were supposed to deliver to deliver it, we were in the middle of a move, and it sat in storage until we were finally able to use it - which unfortunately was after the 90 day warranty was through. Otherwise we would have returned it immediately. I have already shown a couple of people in my life the couch when they expressed interest in Joybird after stumbling on their website. I let them sit on it, explained the scenario and showed my emails from when I tried to discuss this with someone at the company. Both ended up purchasing furniture elsewhere. Also kept coming across Joybird online so I was intrigued to have a brick and mortar just a few miles from me! I came into the store knowing I had a need for a sofa. Richard greeted me and immediately helped me start solving my problems. He guided me through a process that surprisingly allowed me to answer my own questions. There was no pushing of his opinions. Relaxing and gratifying experience. Richard provided options, have answers to my inquiries, and was efficient with the transaction. The company sent emails throughout the process of my sofa being ordered, but, packaged, shipped, and ready for delivery. This really took the guesswork out of when to expect it to arrive. I was even allowed to select a delivery date at my convenience. There were emails, phone calls, and text messages around delivery day to remind me to be ready. The day of delivery I was provided a link for real time updates with constantly updated ETA. The two delivery people were very kind and so efficient while being mindful of my home. The sofa is exactly what I wanted! When I'm not sitting on it, I find myself staring at it. The fabric is as soft as I was wanting and the depth is terrific! Hi Community, I'd want to share my real experience with this company since I believe it's important for future customers to know how they deceive their customers. In September 2021, I visited their store in Chicago, which is located on North Avenue. I liked what I saw in their showroom so much that I decided to get a custom sofa. On September 6th, 2021, I placed my order. They estimated that the order would take 6 to 8 weeks to complete and deliver it to my apartment. As a result, the sofa was meant to arrive between the end of October and the beginning of November. When I viewed the account in October to check the order, the projected delivery date was January 2022. They never sent an email or anything in regards to the delay. Therefore, I decided to send an email and also to go to the store to see what was going on. I was assisted by the New York Manager at that time and I quote and quote "They ran out of the fabric I chose, and if I wanted to choose another fabric, since they didn't know when the fabric was going to arrive. He understood my dissatisfaction, and that he was going to make sure this never happened again, and that he promised to check with me until I had my order". I made sure to choose with him another fabric that they had in their factory. He promised the new order was going to arrive before Christmas. OFF COURSE ANOTHER LIE!!! When I went to check when the order was going to arrive, I was surprised to see that it said APRIL 2022, because there was AGAIN an issue with the fabric. I didn't any email from them, and off course the New York Manager never checked on me. I'm still waiting for him to reply. Please make certain that they are held accountable. They made me lose 4 months when I could have switched to a company that provide better customer service and was more reliable. I could have been enjoying my sofa at this moment. Certainly, they give two fucks about you and the order. And don't expect anything to change if you speak with management. They are not going to do anything. They will soft you with bunch of lies. Here are my proves that I'm not lying. I never got any answers from them. That's how professional, reliable, and respectful they are towards their clients. PLEASE read the Google reviews. I ordered a new chair in July 2021. The sales guy said the company was quoting 6-8 weeks for the build and delivery. He advised that due to the pandemic it would be more like 10 weeks. Okay, that's reasonable. The chair finally arrived today, over three months later, and one leg is at least 1" shorter than the others. I reported it and even the delivery guy reported it. I cannot talk to anyone and no one calls back. Their "chat" line says someone will look into it and get back to me in 3-4 days. Well it's Wednesday so you know there will be nothing until the following week. What's to look over? They have pictures from me and the delivery man. This is a no brainer. Why should I have to wait more than a day? I had to rearrange my work schedule to be here for the delivery and now I will have to do it again for whatever they recommend doing. This is an expensive chair and the customer service should be better. I don't recommend shopping here regardless of how cool the furniture may look. Bottom line is Joybird doesn't give a fig about its customers. Once they have the cash, it's all over. read more

I recently came in to purchase a sofa for my front room. The show room staff was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable with respect to the product. I spoke with a kind young woman who was incredibly helpful and I was ready to purchase. However, when I tried to follow up with corporate I was met with poor communication that was not only inattentive but, frankly a bit terse and cold. After a couple of months searching online for just the right furniture, I came across Joybird. I was thrilled to see the various mid-century modern furniture pieces, all available in pet friendly fabrics. My search was over! I made it to the store a few days later (December 16, 2020) and was greeted by Elliott. He did a great job of helping me decide what I wanted. I ended up with a Hughes sofa in apple green and two Louie chairs in "Antonio Cedar" which is a fancy name for rust/dark orange. Due to COVID, the delivery time was expected to be 12-14 weeks. Much to my surprise, the furniture arrived on April 2, 2021. No one contacted me regarding the delivery until 15 minutes before they arrived. One of the Louie chairs arrived broken, so I refused delivery of it. The second Louie chair had several wrinkles in the fabric. The sofa was even worse. There were several areas where the fabric had not been stretched over the frame properly. Many of the seams were crooked. Worst was the large indentation in the fabric that ran across the back. It took multiple phone calls and emails to the corporate office to finally get a warranty claim opened. (When Joybird says it will take 2-3 days to get back to you, they're not kidding.) True to their word, both pieces were repaired at no cost to me. Unfortunately the issue with the seams on the sofa cannot be fixed without sending it back. Maybe I can hide the majority of them with pillows. On a positive note, the refund for the broken chair was processed quickly. Thanks Matthew! read more

**BUYER BEWARE** I came to warn you guys about the purchasing process and the nightmare we've been going thru but it seems as if others have beat me to it. Here's a rough draft of timeline: 7/14 - Holt Sectional bought from the showroom - $4000 9/15 - A week after it should have been delivered and not being able to get a straight answer from anyone in customer service; we were finally notified that our fabric was discontinued(?!) and we could either pick a new fabric and wait another three months or receive a refund. 9/16 - After deciding on a totally new fabric, we were informed our couch WAS actually built but just delayed for the third time already. 10/1-10/20 -- Nobody can give us answers where our couch is. And believe me its a chore to even get an answer from them. HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. 10/21 - We finally track down a number for the shipper - They lost our couch. Of course they did. 10/23 - After multiple attempts to get an answer, guess what, they found our couch and it will be delivered over the weekend. Great. 10/30 - Couch is delivered two months after it was supposed to BUT they sent us the wrong loveseat that is a different height than the chaise. Furthermore, they only sent one attaching clip so the delivery guys couldn't piece the two pieces together. And after reading your horror stories in your reviews, this is even more troubling than it was before. Felt better to get that off my chest so do yourself a favor and avoid this place all together so you don't need a therapist. *Oh and that Matthew Dipetro character replying to these reviews quit so don't waste your time trying to contact him. Giving this place 1 Star because the couch is serving its purpose to be sat on. Not looking forward to the effort its going to take for them to fix this order. read more

I just received my Joybird sofa ordered through the Chicago showroom and couldn't be happier with my purchase! I purchased the Preston Reversible Sectional, which turned out great and is perfect for my space. I also love the flexibility it provides. I worked with Stets in the showroom, who was very helpful and followed up while I was waiting for the sofa to ship to see if I had any questions. The lead time was only 4 weeks which was significantly less than all other stores I considered and my sofa even arrived earlier than expected. She was open to my concerns about the comfort level of a lower back couch since it is different than what I'm used to.... I also felt like I was welcome to just browse.... since I live far from the store, but had been lusting after a few pieces online, I was really just using this as an opportunity to "try out" some of the furniture. I felt no pressure to buy anything right on the spot, but she sweetly offered me swatches of fabric and leather for the pieces that I really liked. Ultimately the Eliot couch I went with is perfectly firm and formal enough for a semi-formal living room, which was important to me -- it was so comfortable when I sat on it in the store! We are combining it with the Eliot chair and ottoman. I feel confident in my purchases because although it feels like an online company, since I was able to try it out in the store with Melissa, I am far less nervous ordering it. My buying experience buying from Joybird has been excellent so far! There isn't a showroom in my state and I was skeptical about buying a living room couch online. We haven't received the couch yet so I can't speak to quality, delivery, etc. but the customer service I received from Melissa R. at the Chicago store was exceptional. I set up a virtual appointment with her and we were able to collaborate on color choices, size, style, etc. for my living room. With video conferencing, she walked through the showroom to show me various items and she looked at my living room as well so she could help me choose what would look great. In fact, we did video conference more than once and she sent me multiple photos of swatches throughout the process so I could make an informed decision (and I'm NOT a quick or decisive person).
