    Beef Short Rib Teriyaki

5 stars for this place! They make the best teriyaki. Every thing is perfectly cooked and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Angry sign on the soda dispenser. Three exclamation marks, oh my.

Avoid, unless you're desperate enough to pay too much for unimpressive food. I ordered the chicken bento "box" but everything was served in to-go containers even though we were eating in. Intentionally wasteful. Possibly the very worst bento I've ever eaten. The salad was some iceberg lettuce and flavorless dressing. No tomatoes or anything else. There was still uncooked wet batter in the tempura, which by the way was room temperature, so there wasn't even an attempt to warm it up. The miso shiru was extremely watery, and I'd bet money it was from an instant mix packet. No hot green tea, but there was an angry sign on the soda dispenser. But strangely our meal did come with fortune cookies, which one doesn't normally associate with Japanese food. Very food court-like. Equally strange and disappointing.

    No refill!!! Lol

Was ok, got the spicy chicken breast and just wasn't spicy like other JOY.... Chicken was a little chewy and no refills.... Having a hard time finding a nice chicken place bowl in OR since moving here.

    Teeny tiny prawns???

So disappointed this time ...has always been our go to for takeout lunch but no more. Price gouging and tiny tempura prawns(?). Salad barely 1/2 cup. Forgot to get receipt (my bad). For yakisoba w/chicken & tempura prawn meal - @ 1pm for lunch - $24+‼‼. Will not return‼

    Employee trash on counter.

Got the super combo. Beef was outstanding, spicy chicken was great, goyza was very good. Highly recommended.

The service was extremely friendly and welcoming! It was such a great experience to speak with and connect with the family as my food was being made. I enjoyed their chiya (chai/tea) as I waited for my food. I got the Chicken Jhol Momos and the Pork Chili Momos. Both were fantastic! A little dollop of achar on the jojo momos gave it the heat we craved. I will definitely be making a trip back to devour more momos and to try their Nepalese chow mein!

At first glance, the location can feel a little sketchy, but don't let that fool you. We started with the chicken momos, veggie momos, and bhel, and also shared a thukpa. We had originally planned to order the mutton thali as well, but we were so full by then that we decided to save it for another visit. The owner and staff were incredibly personable and took the time to chat with us about the restaurant and the dishes, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The food overall was fresh and flavorful. The gravy with the chicken momos was especially delicious. I personally didn't enjoy the veggie dumplings very much, and the thukpa felt just okay to me. Still, our friends spoke very highly of several other dishes, so I do think this is a place worth revisiting. I'm hoping to come back and end up just as enamored with it as many of the other reviewers seem to be.

The vegetables were perfectly crispy, and the coolness of the roll made it quite satisfying. The rice, however, was a little drier than I would have liked, which slightly impacted the overall experience. Salmon Avocado Roll (4/5) - A generous portion of creamy avocado paired with decent-quality salmon made for a nice bite. While tasty, the rice was again a bit drier than expected, and the roll felt like it was a step above typical supermarket offerings. Miso Soup (2/5) - Unfortunately, the miso soup felt rather watered down and lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for, making it a bit underwhelming. Cucumber Salad (3/5) - A solid dish, though it had a more pronounced sourness than I anticipated. It was still refreshing but could benefit from a more balanced flavor profile. Service (4/5) - The service was very attentive and accommodating, which definitely added to the overall positive experience. Ambiance (Not Rated) - The restaurant has around 6-7 tables, creating an intimate setting that would be perfect for a small lunch date. Overall, a good experience with room for improvement, especially in the rice and soup, but the excellent service and cozy ambiance made it enjoyable.
