I had some friends visit for the weekend and were looking for a good massage spot. I found this one online and called to see if they had someone specialize in prenatal massage. Luckily they did and my friends each got a deep tissue massage. We were in separate rooms which was nice and we all came out so relaxed! The prices are very reasonable as well! I went to Joy Spa with a friend for a 1.5 hour deep tissue massage. I had never had one. We made our appointments online, effortlessly. We were running a few minutes late and had to call them, they were friendly and understanding. When we arrived, they are located in a plaza with plenty of parking. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly woman. We paid for the service before they did it, I think they thought my friend and I were a couple haha because they took us to the same room. Not a problem! It was nice to get serviced at the same time, the massage was painful but the good kind of pain si de I know I had a lot of knots. Our masseuses were talking a lot amongst themselves in their language. Which I suppose was okay since it wasn't a relaxation massage but some quiet would have been nice. The persons scheduling appointments and the person behind the reception area was really nice. My massage wasn't too bad. I only had a few gripes about my massage therapist... -had rough hands. Used to come here often but I'm not sure why now all of a sudden they're so forceful for tip. They really try to push for outrageous tips for the shorten massages. I know I didn't receive a full 60 min massage. But that's fine, I know all the other massage places do that as well. But the fact that they printed out a tipping chart and kept pushing you to tip over 30% is ridiculous. Not coming back again. Here's how my experiences went The business owner seems nice at first and as well as the employees. But they were a little bit loud at first, what I don't like about them is they talk during session. We come to spa/massage to relax so a quiet atmosphere would be nice. The massage was ok, not good but not as bad. I wouldnt mind because they're all around mid-age. Everything was fine until the tip part, I wish I read the reviews from this place before I come. We wanted to support this business but man I can't. We came to do foot massage and we left 20% tip but they're not sastisfied. They spoke in Chinese (thinking we can't understand) "why is it only this much?" Typically "tips" is showing how sastified you feel about the place and 20% is an average tip amount so I don't understand why they are confused or disastified with it. I was going to rate them 5 stars so more people can come support because it seems like they don't have many customers and now I know why. It's Saturday and it's available anytime which we can tell they don't have many customers. Welp, if you want to come here, be prepared to tip 30% plus. read more

I called the day of to set up an appointment and the person I talked to on the phone said don't purchase the Groupon but they will match it at the location. We got there 15 mins early and the person at the desk wasn't the one I talked to on the phone, she knew a little English so we couldn't really understand each other. Massage over all wasn't great, my 8 year old son could've done better. It seemed like they didn't know what they are doing. One lady was trying to upsell also "their lavender scent" of something. They were very attentive from the second we walked in to the time we left. We did couples massages for Valentine's Day and the pricing was incredible for the service we got. It kinda put me off when they have a sign up front claiming that any tip under $20 is BAD and the only way they'll be thrilled is if you leave a $30+ tip. Bought a Groupon for a couples massage. When I called to schedule, I was asked if I had already purchased the Groupon because they had specials that might be cheaper (thought that was nice of them to share) the booking process was easy peasy. Now the massage room was very chilly, nothing fancy, just 3 beds and hooks to hang your stuff. The massage was more of a pressure point massage on top of the very rough sheet until they used the hot stone massage which was relaxing except when they went to get the stones the door was left open and the room got chiller. Everything after was like a massage you get while getting a pedicure...slap the legs. The interesting thing is the massage did not include the feet. I was told after that is extra and is the combo massage, huh, ok. Probably will not return and not recommend. read more

This is my first time here. When I called to make the appointment I wasn't sure I called the right number as there was no greeting. Just a "hello". They were friendly when booking the appointment though. On the day of my appointment, I was finished with my errands early. I decided to head over to see if there was availability, and there was. They were very nice about getting me in early. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, and it was really chilly in the room. The massage therapist was really tough, but kept asking me if I was ok. Not all of the products were in the room so she had to leave a couple times for several minutes. She answered her phone to tell the person she was at work. From what I understand of the tip guide the minimum is $20. I'm not sure if you could tip lower. They did ask if I wanted water when I was leaving and if I was ok. Still not sure I'd come back. Better than many places but still not standard. They do a decent job, but depending on the masseuse or the day, they all have different methods and techniques. If ya go in with a group, or with a group but in separate rooms, it'll be a different experience everytime. I have been about 4 times with different groups having a different therapist each time, and each visit was alright :/ The atmosphere is the best part of this business. Still lacking. The rooms are a bit tight, and the tables are okay, but there are other locations with more comfortable rooms, offer robes and slippers, better massages for whichever package you get, and much better social interactions before and after the sessions. The prices for packages on the board are clear and concise. It customary to tip Mr. Andrew Jackson each time, at least whenever I go, but each time I did was kinda hard to do so xD I think if ya go, ya gotta go by yourself, and get better and bigger packages or combos for a better experience. Today I and my coworker got a really awesome combo massage in Joy Spa. We are software engineers and our work were sitting and coding for a whole day. Our back, bodies and necks are always very tight, tired and painful. When we came here at the first time, we really love this clean environment and place. The massage therapists are very professional and nice to ask where are we feeling tight and they gave us hot water to heal our tired feet at first. And then they focus on our pain points and gave us very nice treatment on tired feet and bodies after a feet massage. After we done the combo massage, we felt so great and energetic.
