1 minute to open car, bill was 187.00. They used a "pop" method to make a space in the door in order to fish around for the unlock with a probe. MY DOOR IS DAMAGED! Popping the door ajar did not pop it back into shape. My car door remains slightly ajar and I it sounds as though the window is not rolled up all the way. Would not recommend. Wish I'd had time to call several companies. This one went to a call center. I was called quickly. Guy was nice, but didn't seem to speak or understand English well. I asked about price before he came out. I was told it would be $150 or a little more to get me in my house. Front door know was jammed, but unlocked. Backdoor was locked and I did not have the right key for that. The guy looked at both, decided he could unjam the front know. It took less than 5 minutes. I was very thankful! However, the price was $175 AND an $80 service charge AND a 4% charge because I didn't have a cash app to use. So, good service but $265 is way over what others in our area charge. Especially when no lock or knob had to be disassembled or replaced. I will definitely have to use someone else next time. ​ read more

these people are thieves. I literally confirmed on the phone multiple times with the technician the price would be between $85-$125. When he was done unlocking my car, I asked my family member to pay with my card while I get my screaming baby and he proceeds to tell him the payment is $202. I didn't know until after he paid and told me. And then, he backs out of the driveway and gets stuck in the ditch blocking the driveway and we end up stranded cause he wont let me pull him out and he says his boss has to come before we can. Once he arrives after an hour, he finally said we could pull the guy out the ditch And we did it for free cause we're kind people. During the phone call they asked what car I had and I told them, and they said they had that key for it! great. They came out today to look at my car, started programming the key. Gave me the key and told me it was going to be $600 and something $$! umm what? no. I can order a key off Amazon for $30-50! and it's the same kind as the one I got, and have someone cut it for cheaper! Wow. What a surprise I got today. Lost my key and thought I was SOL, but decided to call Joy Locksmith to see what they could do for me. A young man named Elijah (Eli) answered the phone and I very quickly realized that I wasn't dealing with the run of the mill locksmith. Eli told me that he could get to my location within 20 minutes. I was only 1 1/2 miles away but I was ecstatic. Of course, if they are busy, I wouldn't expect such quick arrival. Next, Eli estimated that the total for the call and cutting the key would be $150...explaining that $85 would go to Chevrolet for the code as the key was chipped. A very reasonable price compared with another quote I received. When Eli arrived, he was very professional and got down to work. He is a young man, only 24, but he acted like the owner of the business who was intent on providing great service at a reasonable price. Eli did a great job...efficiently and accompanied by good conversation...and I was left with the feeling that I had found the only locksmith that I would ever use in Greenville. My experience was at 1:30 am after locking myself out of my car near the end of a 9-hour drive and still 1.5 hours from home. Within 15 minutes a technician was on site and began the process of opening my car. I was driving our 2012 Cadillac CTS-V of which I am quite particular about. His name was Mike Aze and his demeanor was one of empathy and professionalism. He attempted (quite carefully and precisely) open the door with the window airbags and t handled reach bar. The security system had locked the door opening switch/button and the unlock/lock toggle switch. No Go. I fully expected Mike to say he was not going to be able to open the car but he tried for 45 minutes the easiest ways possible and the most economical. He said the option left was cut a key for a keyless car or so I thought. He showed me the trunk had a (unknow to me) a key slot for emergencies.... but that key was inside my FOB. He requested all my information and input it into an app on his phone. Downloaded the key cut code and used a portable key cutting machine to receive the code remotely...it cut the key and I had access to my car again! Obviously, the services rendered were effective but the way he conducted himself, answered my questions and consulted with me through all the options was really exemplary! I'm fortunate to have had Mike Aze show up to be my Technician from Joy Locksmith Services. Anyone having been in this situation knows the value of how this Technician performed his work - priceless! I had been sitting outside in the sun at a gas station for about 40 minutes with my keys locked in my car.
