1 minute to open car, bill was 187.00. They used a "pop" method to make a space in the door in order to fish around for the unlock with a probe. MY DOOR IS DAMAGED! Popping the door ajar did not pop it back into shape. My car door remains slightly ajar and I it sounds as though the window is not rolled up all the way. Would not recommend. BTY, they don't take insurance. read more

For the price just go elsewhere, not worth it and the price they gave me at first(135) was completely different from what they charged me(204) and after all that the method they used bent my door which i had to get fixed. so i do not recommend, not in the slightest, you're better off breaking your window to get your keys back read more

Wish I'd had time to call several companies. This one went to a call center. I was called quickly. Guy was nice, but didn't seem to speak or understand English well. I asked about price before he came out. I was told it would be $150 or a little more to get me in my house. Front door know was jammed, but unlocked. Backdoor was locked and I did not have the right key for that. The guy looked at both, decided he could unjam the front know. It took less than 5 minutes. I was very thankful! However, the price was $175 AND an $80 service charge AND a 4% charge because I didn't have a cash app to use. So, good service but $265 is way over what others in our area charge. Especially when no lock or knob had to be disassembled or replaced. I will definitely have to use someone else next time. read more

Having an issue with lost key for a Ford pick up truck. They referred me to another service as I had a rush job and they were booked up. I called and connected with the other person. I'm always supportive of any business that is not shy about giving recommendations to other shops because that shows they've got nothing to hide. read more

these people are thieves. I literally confirmed on the phone multiple times with the technician the price would be between $85-$125. When he was done unlocking my car, I asked my family member to pay with my card while I get my screaming baby and he proceeds to tell him the payment is $202. I didn't know until after he paid and told me. And then, he backs out of the driveway and gets stuck in the ditch blocking the driveway and we end up stranded cause he wont let me pull him out and he says his boss has to come before we can. Once he arrives after an hour, he finally said we could pull the guy out the ditch And we did it for free cause we're kind people. Anyways, find another locksmith company Who won't try to get one over on you! read more

I'm only leaving one star because I can't leave zero. 218 dollars to unlock a car door is criminal. was not told the price until after he was done. he claimed the reason it was so expensive was because he needed a specialty tool to unlock it, but then ended up not even using the tool. 0/10 would not even recommend to people I don't like. read more

this is the worst company ever first of all the guy was late when he came second he didn't know what he was doing. When he was programming my key fob then he was making two keys for me. The machine died so he was supposed to come back the next day, but he didn't didn't even call reschedule is Monday. Call me back because I wasn't getting any extra service. He decided not to come and I've already paid for the service. This is the worst company ever. Make sure that you stay far away. read more

Dont go here... I called and asked for an estimate on a new key, for my car. They told me they needed to look thru the computer for, for an estimate. During the phone call they asked what car I had and I told them, and they said they had that key for it! great. They came out today to look at my car, started programming the key. Gave me the key and told me it was going to be $600 and something $$! umm what? no. I can order a key off Amazon for $30-50! and it's the same kind as the one I got, and have someone cut it for cheaper! TELL ME WHY THEY PROGRAMMED A CADILLAC KEY FOR MY HYUNDAI. ummm hello? no. that's not what I asked for, I didn't even give you the go ahead and program it without an estimate first... they threaten to call the police if we didn't pay. yet we had to end up paying $100 instead of $600.... and the key isnt even cut.... this is ridiculous, and trying to price gouge out the ass and ripping people off and lying... this is a scam in my opinion... and I would definitely not go to them for any help.... at all!!! if anything I should get my $100 back. read more

Showed up over an hour late. Seemed disoriented after I called back about an appointment. Gave me a key to another type of Toyota rather than my car. When I was quoted the price I paid it and when I saw the invoice it had a $45 tip added on it. I would not trust them with the keys to my home or car ever again. Dishonest. read more

Wow. What a surprise I got today. Lost my key and thought I was SOL, but decided to call Joy Locksmith to see what they could do for me. A young man named Elijah (Eli) answered the phone and I very quickly realized that I wasn't dealing with the run of the mill locksmith. Eli told me that he could get to my location within 20 minutes. I was only 1 1/2 miles away but I was ecstatic. Of course, if they are busy, I wouldn't expect such quick arrival. Next, Eli estimated that the total for the call and cutting the key would be $150...explaining that $85 would go to Chevrolet for the code as the key was chipped. A very reasonable price compared with another quote I received. When Eli arrived, he was very professional and got down to work. He is a young man, only 24, but he acted like the owner of the business who was intent on providing great service at a reasonable price. Eli did a great job...efficiently and accompanied by good conversation...and I was left with the feeling that I had found the only locksmith that I would ever use in Greenville. I encourage everyone to give this business a try as My experience was amazing. Thanks Eli! read more

My experience was at 1:30 am after locking myself out of my car near the end of a 9-hour drive and still 1.5 hours from home. Within 15 minutes a technician was on site and began the process of opening my car. I was driving our 2012 Cadillac CTS-V of which I am quite particular about. His name was Mike Aze and his demeanor was one of empathy and professionalism. He attempted (quite carefully and precisely) open the door with the window airbags and t handled reach bar. The security system had locked the door opening switch/button and the unlock/lock toggle switch. No Go. I fully expected Mike to say he was not going to be able to open the car but he tried for 45 minutes the easiest ways possible and the most economical. He said the option left was cut a key for a keyless car or so I thought. He showed me the trunk had a (unknow to me) a key slot for emergencies.... but that key was inside my FOB. He requested all my information and input it into an app on his phone. Downloaded the key cut code and used a portable key cutting machine to receive the code remotely...it cut the key and I had access to my car again! Obviously, the services rendered were effective but the way he conducted himself, answered my questions and consulted with me through all the options was really exemplary! I'm fortunate to have had Mike Aze show up to be my Technician from Joy Locksmith Services. Anyone having been in this situation knows the value of how this Technician performed his work - priceless! Thanks again Mike and only wish you the best for you and your entire family. Sincerely, Frank McKinney read more

I got fast efficient service programming an auto key FOB and cutting a key. It was less expensive than the dealer, the locksmith came to my home and it was done in mere minutes. The latest equipment, computers, and an email receipt on the spot. The tech, Eli, was pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. The dealer wanted me to make an appointment, go there and wait. If I could rate Joy Locksmith a 10 I would! I have never experienced better customer service or more efficient work with a locksmith. I had been sitting outside in the sun at a gas station for about 40 minutes with my keys locked in my car. I had been waiting on my roadside assistance provider to come unlock my car and spotted the Joy Locksmith van pulling up to a gas pump. I assumed they were there to help me so I approached Eli and found he wasn't there responding to my call. Without hesitation he offered to unlock my car for me before he went to his next call. In less than one minute I was back in my car! Eli you are a lifesaver and I definitely know who I am going to call the next time I have any locksmith needs! Thank you so much!! read more

Eli is extremely responsive. Was on site in a matter of minutes and even though they didn't have my key on file, they ordered one and then followed up until the job was completed several business days later. Great company and service. Locked my keys in my car one day a few months ago and called Joy Locksmith to come out. The technician Johnny was here within a matter of a few minutes and it took him no time to open my door. I recently purchased a home and wanted my locks to be changed out and replaced so I immediately called him up (after having a good experience the first time around). He came over and replaced all of my locks very quickly. I was also was pleased with the pricing. They do a top-notch job and are very reliable.
