We got Priority One to install an alarm system in the house we built in 2019. I had several…read morerequests, one was that the system be TOTALLY WIRED, NO BATTERIES... The salesman said that was not a problem. Let me explain my thinking... The alarm system we installed in 1999 had sensors with batteries and about once every month or two, one would die or run low. They were good about coming out and replacing them. Even got to know our guy, Woody, by first name... He would leave me extra batteries so that I could replace them. That's nice, but this was a vacation home and I really did not like the alarm system giving me trouble multiple times a year. Now we have a new home in Anderson... I really did not want to have 30 batteries scattered around the house in doors and windows... Until a day ago, I was under the impression that I did not have any batteries, just like I was promised... About 2AM We got a "LOWBAT Zone 13 Downstairs Den" warning... Yep, we have batteries... That ticks me off. I got instructions from Priority One on how to change the batteries. The nice lady said just go to Lowes to get a few. Guess what... They are no longer manufactured. I have seen them for sale on the web for up to $55 bucks each! These are simply long AAA diameter batteries that are 3 volts. (unfortunately they are shorter than 2 AAAs, or I would just tape two together.). I can order one from China for $2.50 plus $35 in shipping... LOL... NOT GOOD... THIS IS NOT HOW YOU MAKE CUSTOMERS HAPPY!!!

Heare from Kendal today, Monday, 7/28/25, and he was over within one half hour. Great guy, reset my combination, was thorough in checking and making sure the mechanicals were good, showed me some things to do, not duo, and was done in a very timely manner. My safe now locks, unlocks and relocks with zero issues and should be good for several more years. Overall, really happy with this company. Timely, very polite, personable and capable. 5/5 for me.

Finally we made a great decision and called Overhead Door domiciled in Greenville, S.C. The repairmen was an overall terrific guy. I agreed to a door replacement instead of repairs. After I put down a 50% deposit, which I felt was a lot for a deposit, I went online and found the EXACT same door that they were going to install for more than half the price of what they were going to charge. The same door the technician tried to sell me one off the books he claimed he had one in his garage. After I went and picked up the door I called the tech back and asked him how much to just replace the door and initially, he said "25something". I guess realized he shouldn't have said that so he says let me check with my supervisor and I'll call you back in 5 minutes. He did, and how his price was $350, which I agreed to and we talked about when he could come out and install the door. We agreed to the Saturday date that we had previously planned. Ge rhen informed me that he tried to cancel my deposit charge on my credit card but it would probably have to be tomorrow before that could happen. So I called the home office and got the supervisor and talked to him and explained the situation and asked IF the install could be taken out of the deposit charge. He tells me that instalation would be $450 and I told him what the tech told me and I would call back. Fast forward to Friday and I get a call from the home office about my service and young lady asked me if I wanted to talk to a supervisor after we didn't have the same price, I said yes and she said one would be contacting me. Later on, a supervisor called me being real authoritative and gruff with me like I worked for him. His FIRST mistake was telling me I was not told $350 then he said I was rude with the lady from the office and he kept being loud so I got louder and reminded him that I was the customer and he had my money for services NOT rendered at the present time. I can say with no doubt this was some BS, the tech knows he told me $350 and when I called him back again he claims he doesn't remember that knowing good and well WE NEVER said the number 450. Stand on your word and own it. Nothing worse than people that cannot admit when they are WRONG. I WILL NEVER call Elite for nothing EVER again and I have used them 3 times previously, but the way the tech handled it and the supervisor talked to me they can kick rocks, they aren't the only game in town.

Assistant was very busy looking around the items in garage. Will not use again and would make sure you argue about price if you use as you are likely to pay way more than needed.
