I even asked about removing the tooth and was repeatedly dismissed. Finally, I sought a second opinion. Turns out the tooth was fractured and infected all along and should have been pulled from the beginning. Now I'm dealing with an abscess and a much bigger problem than I started with. Dr. Emily Martin is my highly capable, personable and friendly dentist. She's on-point with questions, considering my dental history. May 14 was my latest cleaning -- with Elvis Mehic, RDH, who has been my hygienist for a number of years. He's precise, communicative and friendly . . . and has good suggestions related to toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwash. He also has useful tips about brushing and flossing. Elvis checks my medical record, in case there are condition or prescription updates. And when the visit is concluded, he schedules me for the next cleaning. The front office folks are efficient and friendly. And I never have to wait for my appointment.

However, the worst part was the hygienist who told me I was "just too thick!" for the wrist BP monitor (why are we taking my BP anyway?). She followed it up by saying, "it's okay, my daughter's thick too." She also spent the rest of my cleaning asking me open-ended questions I couldn't answer, wild things like if I like the name Wolfgang, and telling me about sparkly purses. I don't mind yapping, but you gotta read the room. I also reached out to the office through two different channels to share my experience and haven't heard a peep.

I rarely wait more than five minutes to be taken back to the hygienist. I never feel rushed and if I have any questions, they take the time to answer thoroughly. A friend referred me to this practice saying "I've never had anyone who told me they were dissatisfied with them!" My children and grandchildren have found the same thing. They are excellent with young children, too!! We've been going to this practice for over 8 years and everyone thinks they're great!!
