Wow!!! I'm impressed with the detail. I had two queen sized comforters cleaned here. They did an amazing job and they even returned them to me in a big plastic comforter storage bag!!! I'm able to store them away for the winter just like this! Plus, the price was great! I was shocked at how inexpensive it was to clean these. Joy Cleaners in Donelson was great! I needed my comforter cleaned because it's too big for my tiny apartment machine, but hated the thought of going to a laundromat. Also, I was nervous because the last time I took a comforter to be dry cleaned, that company ruined it and refused to replace it. This place was the most reasonably priced to clean a comforter and had it done so quickly! When I picked up my comforter, it was folded neatly and placed in a zippered bag. It looked good as new. There was even some purple hair dye stains that came out!! The gentleman was quick and kind and wore his mask. They also had plexiglass up at the register. TL/DR: 10/10 would recommend!!! read more

On the hunt for a dry cleaner in my old-new neighborhood, I found the reviews to be mostly promising for Joy. I took a cocktail dress in late one afternoon to be cleaned. The man I spoke with wasn't at all welcoming and seemed to be in a huge rush. I pointed out a stain in need special attention, and he marked it with a piece of fabric tape. Since I wasn't in a hurry to get my dress back, we agreed on a time mid-week for pick-up. As I started to leave, it dawned on me I had failed to ask the cost, to which he quickly advised $9.99 plus tax. Seemed a little steep for a single layer dress, but I also don't frequent dry cleaners all that often these days-- so I went with it. The following week I returned for pick-up. The woman behind the counter was even less friendly than the male had been! She retrieved my dress and abruptly gave me the total. Before handing her my card, I decided to take a look where the stain had been on my dress to see if it had been removed. While it looked better, it was still there. So I said something to the woman. Unconcerned, she abruptly gave me the total again. A bit more directly, I showed the stain to her and repeated myself. She then asked if I had pointed it out when I dropped it off. I advised her I had, etc. She just stared at it. After a long pause, I asked her what their policy is on instances like this since clearly the stain was better, just not gone (and I was still irritated that it had neither been noted nor did she particularly seem to care). She simply replied they could clean it again. So I asked if there would be a charge to clean it again, and if so, how much? She said she didn't know, then went back to being silent and staring at it again. I was waiting for her to offer to call someone to ask what the policy is, or for her to take ownership and say "Yes, we'll clean it again for no charge.", or even, "Yes, but it will be full price." Something. Anything! But nothing. Then a hand motion for my card I was already holding. After taking my payment, she advised the garment may fade if they spot clean it. I took a breath and gently asked, "If you clean the entire dress again and it does fade, it will fade evenly, correct?" No response. After another long pause, while staring at the stain again, she said, "It's not really that noticeable." Irritated, I smirked and said, "Well OK, I'll just take it as is then." My snarkiness (that I seriously try to keep in check) was evident. She then quickly replied, "He'll clean it again." "Yes, but will I be charged for a second cleaning?" I asked for the second time. "I don't know. He usually doesn't charge to re-clean, but...." Then she went silent again. I calmed myself before replying, "Well, if you don't know, I cannot leave it to be cleaned yet again if you're not sure if I will have to pay a second charge of almost eleven dollars." Wash-Rinse-Repeat: The above conversation took place a second time. Minding my manners, I thanked her, took my dress, and left. Please understand, I am not upset the stain wasn't wholly removed the first time. I know there are no guarantees. My issues are solely due to the lack of customer service. Friendliness aside, if there's no initiative to act like you give a crap about your customer, to find the answers, or to take ownership, then it's not a place I want to conduct business. Fortunately, this is only dry cleaning, so I have a choice. And I choose to go elsewhere. read more

Joy Cleaners absolutely saved the day for us recently. I work for a company where we have to take care of people who are constantly traveling. We had guest come in who needed their clothes professionally dry cleaned that day. Every other place in town said it was too late, as it was already noon when we got their clothes and they needed them with only hours to spare. We must of called 30 places looking for service. Joy cleaners has amazing customer service!! We came into town for a destination wedding and needed the wedding dress steamed/pressed and my bridesmaids dress pressed as well. We had a quote for another place to have the brides dress done for $250 and the hotel recommended Joy and I'm sure glad they did!!! Great place. I took a comforter that had dog urine stain. They cleaned it so well. Looked brand new! Amazing. When I picked up comforter it was ready as they told me when I dropped it. They had it in a nice plastic container so I could easily carry it. read more

I was looking for a less expensive dry cleaner near my work and I came across Joy Cleaners. The owner was very friendly and the store is nice and clean. I was impressed with the computerized system they use which prints a receipt with the number of items you dropped off and the time when they will be picked up. At the place I've been going to, I would simply get a hand written receipt with just my name on it. Anyways I was feeling good about the experience until I picked up the clothes and saw the bill. It was about $3 an item which was more expensive than what I was paying at the other cleaners. It made me think that all of the additional things that you get with the clothes may be contributing to the higher cost. There were computerized tags on each of the items, plastic sleeve clips to keep the sleeves connected and plastic collars which was nice but not really necessary. All in all you get what you paid for with Joy Cleaners, high quality service at a premium price. read more

I live in Mt. Juliet. I called dry cleaners in my area about cleaning mens button down silk shirts. They all wanted anywhere from $4.35-$5.99. One place wanted $13.20. That cracked me up. Joy Cleaners of Donelson was the only reasonable place I could find. A place right across the street from them even wanted $4.50 for the silk shirt to be cleaned. So I would say it wasn't too long of a drive to get there, it really was a Joy. read more
