Finally got a chance to hit up Jovo's in Brick and grab that "Fat Jovo". Jersey meat a plenty on this bad boy...sheesh. You're gonna pay for it ($13 I believe) but I thought it was worth every penny. Got mine with just P, plenty of salt in the meat and I don't want K on this personally. Tyler from Foodula got some K on his. I'd get this again tomorrow if I was back in the area for sure. The woman at the counter was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of indoor tables and the restaurant seemed clean. Didn't Suck! Video out tonight. read more

Doesnt look like much as you pass by it but I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity of coming in and trying their delicious sandwiches. We ordered the chicken Jovo sandwich along with a couple of other deli items. The sandwich was hands down awesome. Great portions and great flavors. Pricing is reasonable for quality and quantity of food. Friendly staff and very helpful. Will definitely be coming back and trying other items as well. Perfect for breakfast or lunch. read more

This place has been one of the best in town. I have had this place multiple times and the food always delicious. The lady behind the counter is super nice and always says hi to everyone that walks in. She is super polite and the man that makes food is alway right with the orders. They make other great food for lunch and snacks like muffins and stuff like that. Love this place and has always been good and has never disappointed me or anyone in my family. Was our first time there as we were looking for a new sandwich place. We like supporting local places and was happy we did. The place was nice and clean and very friendly staff, the food was very fresh and good would recommend this place. Awesome place. Staff was super friendly, decor was dated, little cold, but nice selection of menu items, breakfast and lunch. They have a large selection of drinks, including some aloe vera drinks. They have fresh fruit and vegetables for purchase as well. Got the Jovo Chicken, bread was fresh, soft, sandwich packed and all fresh ingredients. The balsamic is a nice custom vinaigrette, the chicken is well cooked, the roasted peppers aren't jarred, and the Mozzarella was good. Been living in Brick for 5 years and drove past this place dozens of times but never went in. Until last weekend. I had the pork roll, egg & cheese on Saturday and went back for the bacon, egg & cheese on Sunday. Best I've had in a long time. Jovo's will be my go to place for breakfast sandwiches from now on. I've tried this place twice and both times the woman behind the counter is out and out rude. She has never smiled at us, never acknowledged us with a hello, nor has she ever said thank you or goodbye. While I agree that the sandwiches are good sized, the roll was stale the first time and they were out of rolls completely the second time -- not a deal breaker because hey, it happens, but my husband had a ham sandwich and when we got back to work and opened the wrap it stunk to high heaven. Obviously I didn't let him eat it so we split mine and have no intention of ever trying it again. read more

Jovo's is the best sandwich place at the Jersey Shore. It's a nice family run deli. Everyone is friendly and happy to see you. The deli is super clean. I would recommend everything from breakfast sandwiches to salads. However, their one sub the "Champ" and their cheesesteaks are my favorites. Their pork-roll, egg, and cheese is award winning. If in Brick, NJ make it a point to stop in and have some great food. Actually, going to head their in an hour for some game day chow. read more

Had a great experience in here for a quick lunch. I ordered Jovo chicken sandwich which was prepared perfectly and brought to my table. The sandwich was verrryy tasty! Red pepper, avocado, fresh mozzarella, greens and I believe a balsamic sauce, it was quite good. Customer service was friendly too overall I would recommend! I found Jovo's Deli about 2 years ago. I'm actually surprised I haven't written a review about it, I highly recommend going to Jovos. The staff is friendly, the food is amazing, and their establishment is clean. I have not once been disappointed with what I received from Jovos whether it be their breakfast or their sandwiches. Best subs and breakfast sandwiches in town. I highly recommend the turkey club sub, it's loaded with Turkey and fresh cut tomatoes and lettuce topped with bacon and the bread they use is awesome as well. Jovo's Produce & Deli has some of, if not the finest cold-cuts, submarine sandwiches, hot & cold hoagies and deli salads in the area. I discovered this hidden gem after a recommendation from a co-worker. It is family owned and operated, the staff is extremely pleasant and they know your name and what you like after only a few visits. Everything is made fresh in front of you and portion size is more than fair. I will get my subs here from now on. Freshly sliced quality meats and done just right. Best part of it is that the prices are reasonable, not ridiculous like some other places. Ordered an italian and a roast beef sub and both were devoured by my kids. The bread and meat they use is better than most sub places around. I haven't tried any salads but I will the next time. This is a must if you're getting subs to go anywhere. read more

I'm honestly not sure what was more impressive to me; the soups or the sandwiches. I guess I'll start with their namesake, the soup. First time I came here I tried the French onion, since what better 'simple' soup to judge a soup place by, right? Excellent, right out of the gate - utterly bursting with caramelized onion flavor, and just a hint of brandy, I believe? I later came back and tried the Thai coconut and "thanksgiving dinner" soups, with each one seriously cramming a ton of flavor into each bite. Never thought I'd be blown away by soup, of all things, but here we are. The sandwiches are just as good as the soups were, and are priced really fairly for the quality and portion you get. Most of their sandwiches are made on their homemade "pesto bread", which may be the moistest, softest bread I've had in years. If you can't decide, they seem to run specials frequently, where you can get a sandwich & cup of soup. The only 'negative' I can think of is that since sandwiches are made to order, it can take ~10-15 mins to get sandwiches and the like, but this isn't a McDonalds, so I feel like that's expected. Besides, your patience is greatly rewarded. Skip the chain food; there's some really inspired, friendly folks here cranking out some of the best stuff in town. Well worth a visit, imo!

The burger itself was pretty solid -- good flavor and a satisfying size. At $16, the portion felt fair considering the amount of fries you get with it. One thing I noticed was an additional charge for sauces. I asked about it, and they explained that all their sauces are made in-house, which is why they charge $1 per sauce. Honestly, that makes sense when they're homemade. Now the star of the show for me was actually the drink. After looking over the menu a bit more, I decided to try the LA Metro coffee drink with almond milk. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but for $5.99, I have to say it was really good. Definitely something I'd order again. I also want to mention the customer service. The girl working at the counter was extremely nice -- probably some of the best customer service I've had in a while. She didn't rush anything, answered my questions, and was very professional and friendly. I asked about the specials, the cakes they offer, and even whether they were doing a St. Patrick's Day platter, which they are. Overall, it was a really good experience. Good food, great drink, and excellent customer service. I'd definitely recommend stopping by Taylor Sam's if you're in the area.

ok, why is this great deli literally right around the corner from my job and i'm just finding out about them....better late than never! ok so i wasnt sure of the food here so i ordered a simple blt. well let me tell you that was the best blt i have ever had! i was so impressed i have returned and have now broadened my horizons.
