Our trip started a little rough on the first day due to delayed airplane and the inability to use our phones (Cell supplier issues). Once we reached our first hotel and were able to contact Ian, everything improved greatly. Ian planned a stay at Ballyseede Castle in Tralee on our anniversary and it was so very lovely. Did the entire trip go off without a hitch? no. There were a few bumps (none of which were major)--but when we hit a bump, Ian was there to help us figure it out--Once, the solution turned into an unexpected amazing experience! There are some things I will change next time, but that's a matter of personal preference. Ian did a wonderful job creating a relationship with us in order to give us the best experience possible. I definitely recommend using Go Irish Tours. We will use them again.

I contacted the Sheraton and they were no help. Fortunately, I kept searching and found this extraordinary tour company! We had four packed days of custom tours all over Ireland with our guide/owner, Geoff. Our family has traveled all over the world and this was the most outstanding tour company with whom we have ever worked. The prices were so reasonable and Geoff went out of his way to make sure that we saw even the most remote, but worthy sites. Our teenage boys thought the world of him. We were so sorry to say good-by when he finally dropped us off in Dublin. Now we would not hestiate to return to Athlone (which is off the beaten path) solely because of Geoff and Midlands Tours.

On the way, we had some bus trouble, which was unfortunate, but I will certainly not blame that on Irish Day Tours. In fact, I want to give them praise for the driver's attentiveness, making sure the passengers were safe, and the company being expedient in getting a new bus out to accommodate the rest of the tour. The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most beautiful sights I have ever laid my eyes on and we were blessed with great weather on this particular day. Sunny and not too windy (our visit was at the end of February but not sure how typical this is for that time of year). I believe we were allotted 1.5-2 hours at the Cliffs which we enjoyed every minute of. The stop in Doolin for lunch was charming and I was impressed with how quickly they were able to serve us. Unfortunately, we were not able to experience Galway on our tour due to the technical difficulties but I appreciate them being mindful of the schedule. I want to give particular praise to our driver and guide Kevin, who was absolutely fantastic in not only getting us there and back safely but is full of fascinating information on Ireland's history. As we continued to learn about Ireland over the course of the rest of our trip, I found myself wanting to ask Kevin his opinion on many topics. Thank you Kevin and IDT!

He sang a song or 2 along the way but he couldn't answer any of the questions asked and barely spoke. He dropped us at stops going in blindly. He was an older gentleman, so I understand the low energy but perhaps time to hang up his hat. As first timers to Ireland, I chose the Dark Hedges/Giants Causeway/Belfast tour because I was infatuated by photos of the Dark Hedges I saw online. I had no idea it looked NOTHING like it. It was really a waste of a stop. Giants Causeway was nice.. great photo op. It's a long walk downhill, then back up. Luckily, there was a bus that operates both ways for £1 (tap cards accepted ). We heard there was opihi in Belfast and found some along the way (we're from Hawaii). Super windy that day so we were getting flown all over the rocks. Only stop on the tour that was worth it. Next stop, Belfast City Centre. The tour guy dropped us off near City Hall with absolutely no direction. He told us about a mall nearby, but that's it. Anything worth seeing was already closed. I really wished he would've gave us more recommendations about what to do, where to eat, or anything worth seeing in the short amount of time we had there. After walking around City Hall, we walked to the mall to use the bathroom, stopped at a souvenir shop, then headed back. Total waste of time, again. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND! Sadiy, I purchased the tickets for this tour after the price had gone up about €10 from their 2025 prices. Tour was also supposed to end at 8pm but we got back by 7pm because he kept rushing us. Leaving early from stops. Felt rushed the whole time. I feel it was a total waste of money that could've been used elsewhere.

Aisling's attention to detail was second to none--she even helped us sort out car seats for the little ones and found us a bus to the airport at the very last minute. The scenery was breathtaking, and I appreciated having time to explore the Lower Lake. As a Deaf traveler, however, I have a few recommendations that would make the experience more accessible and less stressful. At Glendalough, it would have been very helpful to receive a printed walking map of the Lower Lake with the recommended route, estimated walking times, key landmarks, and the exact bus departure time clearly marked. Having this information in a visual format would have allowed me to explore with greater confidence without worrying about getting lost or missing the return bus. I also learned only after the tour that it was imperative to return to the bus on time because of government regulations governing the driver's schedule. Since I did not have access to the driver's spoken announcements, I was unaware of how critical the return time was. Learning this only after the tour caused unnecessary stress and anxiety during my visit. Overall, I greatly appreciated the warm hospitality and the bus driver/tour guide's wonderful sense of humor. However, for the price I paid, I did not receive an experience that was equitable to that of hearing travelers. Hearing passengers had continuous access to the driver's commentary, safety information, schedule updates, and important instructions, while I did not. With a few simple accessibility improvements--such as providing visual pickup and drop-off instructions in advance, offering real-time speech-to-text captioning for all onboard announcements, supplying printed maps and itineraries at each stop, and reserving front-row seating for Deaf passengers--this tour could provide a truly equitable and inclusive experience for Deaf travelers.
