With our 2026 Subaru rental, what could go wrong?? Well about an hour out of Bend, OR, we had a…read moreflat tire. High Country Automotive popped up as a reliable shop, so we called and Shawn said he could help us out immediately, even though it was getting close to closing. Despite it being a screw that had made a pretty big hole in the tire, Shawn took the time to put three layers on it so it would hold. Each layer required setting time in between, but he did not rush the process so the patch would hold properly. My husband and I were a little nervous thinking that since we were obviously from out of town and undoubtedly in a bind with no other options, that Shawn would charge us much more than would be the normal cost for such a tire repair. He did not do that, though. He charged us a more than reasonable price. He was pleasant to hang out with, and his beautiful dog, Freckles, provided us with affection and entertainment while we waited. Shawn got us back on the road and back to our vacation without breaking the bank. We would definitely go back to him if anything were to happen again when we return.

The owner of the shop not only answered, but dropped what he was doing and came straight to us to help - we later found out he was actually in the middle of buying a car in an another town ! He ran codes and we determined I didn't need work and we'd make it the rest of the way home, never once pushed a service of any kind. I offered to pay for his time and he waved me off several times. He's about as honest and genuine of a guy as you could ask for. We wish his shop was closer to us in Colorado.

You better hope you can get ANYONE other than this company…read more.. My car was wrongfully impounded by the police, they charged us $3600 for a two mile tow and impound... I called in and asked for any wiggle room because that was an insane price, the person I contacted said "It's expensive to run a 24/7 company out here, I'm legally allowed to charge you four hours minimum and since it was after hours the price is higher." $3600.... For 15 minutes of work... $111 gas charge, for it being 5 minutes from their shop.. Completely unreasonable.

Absolutely unbelievable experience…read more Our company was charged nearly $95,000 for what we believe was a simple commercial tow with no accident damage, no rollover, no hazardous spill, no fire, and no major recovery operation involved. In our opinion, these charges were completely excessive and unreasonable for the actual circumstances of the tow. Even after paying substantial amounts toward the invoices, our truck and trailer continued to be withheld, causing severe financial damage, operational losses, customer issues, and enormous stress on our business. Because of this situation, we were forced to file complaints and reports with multiple departments and agencies, including towing regulatory authorities, consumer protection agencies, law enforcement-related departments, and other state offices, while also seeking legal representation to protect our company and recover our equipment. This entire process became one of the most financially damaging and stressful situations our business has experienced. Commercial carriers and owner-operators should be extremely careful, review every document closely, and fully understand their legal rights before getting involved in situations like this. We strongly believe no trucking company should face a nearly $95,000 towing/storage demand for what appeared to be a standard tow situation.
