Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.

Despite holidays and weather challenges, Fernando and his skilled team completed our home very efficiently & did quality work. When I first spoke with the owner, Grant, I was in the planning stages of what needed done on the…read morehome my wife and I recently bought. A LOT needed done. I was getting quotes from everywhere and running out of money getting the most necessary done. Roofing and siding was an afterthought. Grant called after 6 months asking if I was still needing him and all I could say was I didn't have the cash and he let me know could always reach out when I was ready. Eight months later I called him and it was like we just talked the day before! He even had the original notes he had taken when we first discussed my needs and the worries I had!! For a business to keep records on a project they don't even have a contract for for over a year told me that Grant values each person who contacts him, cares about their business and WANTS to provide customers with exactly what they want. The homes roof had been replaced 5 years prior, and Grant said that they could put another layer on and save me money while sealing any issues that might be underneath but I was worried about the boards of the deck layer being rotted. We settled on a price to tear off the existing shingles and expose the decking, replace any bad boards found as well as replace underlayment and shingles. I talked about the way the fascia looked like it was in poor shape as well and that i was thinking about getting new siding and gutters as well and Grant offered to give me a quote on that too. After looking at what materials he uses, comparing to other quotes and material specifications, Grant again came in under most and left me feeling that North Coast Builders could offer me affordable pricing and consistency in workmanship. Once materials were ordered things moved quickly. Once materials were delivered it was a matter of days before the crew arrived to start. In one day I had a new roof with rotted boards replaced, new underlayment, shingles and new roof vents installed replacing eave vents I requested be covered over. Fascia had been fixed or replaced, and readied for gutters. Weather held up installation of those for a day, but once the rain cleared gutters were installed in a day as well (even though it was a Saturday!). The next week held more, with siding taking a couple of days. I was very impressed that any mess was cleaned up as they went along and at the end of each day the crew walked around the house to make sure everything was neat and tidy. Whenever I had a question or concern Grant was just a phone call away and addressed things quickly and to my satisfaction. At the beginning of this project Grant had given me a brochure showcasing projects North Coast Builders had completed, and in the end I felt like the work they did on my home was showcase quality as well and ready to be added to their catalog. I've had others who work in the construction industry look at what's been done and each told me they were impressed with the attention paid to details. I have, and would again, recommend Grant and North Coast Builders for anyone's next home project!! Was a subcontractor for Dover Home Remodeling. Dover tried to pass off problem to Custom, Custom…read moretried to hide behind Dover. Both just tried to wait us out and hope we would give up. Used inferior synthetic trim material around garage doors and windows. Material would shrink in cold weather, expand in warm. Would get half inch gaps in trim in winter and curling, bending in summer. Custom refused to replace material, tried to caulk instead. Did nothing for shrinking and expansion and covered trim in ugly clumps of caulk. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Can provide pictures to help you make your decision to go elsewhere.

I was promised that once the job started, they wouldn't stop until it was finished, no going on to other customers. They started....then left the job site. For days. I called to find out why and I was told because they couldn't figure out how to do my dormers. I didn't understand why they accepted the job and quoted it if they couldn't do it and the answer was because the salesmen don't know what they are doing. In the three weeks it took them to finally complete this job, my parking pad was unusable because of their equipment and supplies stacked up on there. They even prevented my landscaper from getting to my back yard with their saw and ladders. The garage never had gutters. Salesman wanted the drain spout to go off of the back of the garage. I didn't want it going to the neighbor's property so I wanted it instead to go to the left of the garage which would be to my property. A month later I have trees growing in the gutters. We climbed up on the garage to find that the area around the downspout was dry as bone but the rest of the gutters were filled to the top with water. Installer came back and told me "yeah, I knew that wasn't going to work because of the slant of the gutters. No way I could make that work over there." I asked WHY didn't someone call me? He replied that he was just doing what he was told. He did end up installing another downspout that drained to the right, also onto my property. No one cleaned up the job site when they were done. Since they have finished, I have had to pick up numerous spikes, nails, screws etc that were just left on the house. Now two months later, when the wind blows I am still picking up small pieces of siding that they didn't dispose of properly. Did they do a good job? In the end, yes the work is satisfactory. Would I ever hire them again? No, I would not.
