My must haves were semi gloss lacquer upper cabinets and continuous horizontal grain walnut base cabinets to go over my freshly laid polished porcelain Calacatta marble floor tiles. Florkowsky's was hired approximately Feb 30/15. They removed the old kitchen cabinets and built and installed brand new cabinets and I had a fully functional kitchen with exactly what I had asked for by May 6/15. Overall the timeframe to completion was a bit long however I can't fault Florkowsky's entirely for that. What is more important to me is the overall outcome of my kitchen and I must say I am in LUV! Here are a couple of examples of what this company will do to ensure the client is happy: 1) I could not decide on the finish/ how much gloss I wanted on the upper cabinetry. I finally decided on 25 %, the upper cabinets were all installed and when I saw them I didn't like the finish, it was too matte. The installers removed all the doors, took them back to the shop, resprayed them with 40% and reinstalled them. 2) ordered multiple sheets of walnut veneer until I found the "ones" 3) I picked out all the cabinet hardware, it was ordered and delivered and then I changed my mind. I found some other cabinet hardware online that I preferred and Jason got it for me! Would I recommend this company? Yes, in a heartbeat! Combine all of the above with quality materials and craftsmanship and impeccable attention to detail, it's a win win and what you will get if you hire Florkowsky's. This is a company that truly cares about the customer. I thought I was picky but Florkowsky's installers exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier. I love my kitchen so much, if I could... Had Reface Magic replace/update the kitchen cabinet doors and made a few adjustments to old…read morecupboards to accommodate a higher "fridge" and larger "over the range microwave", and changed an old microwave shelf into cupboards...and the cabinet doors and cupboards look great! Reface Magic is a very busy company and so, after an estimate, you may have to wait a few weeks for the installation. But totally worth the cheaper option to update your kitchen! Also, they have a nice show room that displays several options; e.g. cabinet doors, hardware, etc.

On the second job a mistake was made in the installation. A replacement was ordered and the installer came to install it 7 weeks later (2 weeks of that delay was my doing). This replacement part was ordered incorrectly so it could not be installed. It is now 5 weeks from that day and I still do not have an ETA for when the 2nd replacement will be installed. Do not expect them to put a high priority on getting a job completed even when the mistake is theirs.

We placed a substantial deposit for custom office doors and a shower enclosure approximately 10 months ago. After repeated emails and phone calls from both myself and our project manager went unanswered for weeks, we were forced to advise Forge 53 that the delays were impacting our clients' possession date. On May 14, we finally received a response apologizing for the "radio silence," citing staffing changes and a backlog of custom projects. At that time, we were advised that fabrication would be completed by May 18/19, with installation anticipated as early as the week of May 25. Those dates have long since passed. Since then, multiple additional attempts to obtain an update have gone unanswered. We still do not have the products we ordered, a confirmed installation date, or any indication of when this matter will be resolved.

Mike invited me in to see the progress being made and really give me a feel for the attention being paid to our build. Building my first home with this company has been a nightmare…read more They quoted us 6 months to build the house. I expected a delay but what was unexpected was when it took double the quoted time to build the house. This is not a large house, it is a 1400 sq/ft starter home! During the build they switched sales reps. The new one was a sarcastic, rude, unhelpful, jerk, who drove friends of ours away from buying homes with Homexx. I almost wish he was our sales rep, so that we had never built with them. The blamed everyone but themselves for the delay. Trades, Weather, and they apparently went through several site supers who managed the development "poorly" and they told us the new site super that was taking over was supposed to "clean up the disaster". He did not last very long and we only met him on our possession walk through. We finalized our build decisions and choices on November 2013, once we finally did take possession on October 29, 2014 the real problems started. We started dealing with their Service Coordinator. She was next to impossible to reach and when we finally did get a hold of her, she told us things were "scheduled to be finished in the next couple weeks" two weeks later when nothing had been done we would call back and she would blame the site super and say she was not the one that scheduled the trades but she would refuse to give us his contact information. She would tell us she would speak to him and get back to us but then we would not hear from her for weeks. When we got in touch with her the cycle would start all over again. "its scheduled to be completed in the next couple of weeks" nothing would get done, call in two weeks, and she would blame the site super. ARE YOU KIDDING!??? This company's customer service is atrocious. They couldn't be bothered to answer any questions you might have and it feels like a fight to get any level of commitment from them just to do what I paid them to do. It's a good thing I'm handy because I have resorted to fixing all the issues myself just so they get done at all, let alone in a timely manner. For example, it is now August 2015 and the front of our house has finally been painted. I can't even imagine what it would cost someone who isn't capable of doing repairs and renovations themselves. The only person who has ever been able to provide us with any answers was their sales manager. And getting in touch with her took a review on their facebook page and a complaint with the better business bureau. Take my advice. DO NOT BUILD WITH HOMEXX HOMES.

This is me and my wife simply telling a story of how we purchased our home and why. We were expecting our first child, living in a basement with two big dogs and on the hunt for a home for our growing family. We had just made a verbal agreement with a salesman from another company for a lot in a different development, that salesman went on vacation and our lot was sold to someone else. This made us decide to buy a previously owned home instead of having one built; we simply went into the Homexx show home to get interior design ideas. Immediately we noticed the difference in Danny's approach, he simply introduced himself let us walk around and come ask him questions when we were done. The house was not what we initially liked, the lots were not what we were looking for, and so our initial interest was very low. Danny sat with us and it never felt like he was selling us, he simply explained how we could work together and customize our home to fit our description of "a perfect home". Not only is Danny extremely knowledgeable and helpful, he goes above and beyond any imaginable expectation one could have. He put up with tears, our stress, our worries (like I said a very stressful time to be building a home), and he really guided us from the moment we stepped foot into the show home until the moment we received the key and continues to the day to assist us. I never thought I could form a bond with a stranger the way I have with Danny, he has mastered not just the salesman aspect of his job, but the overall being a great person aspect that not many people have. We were so fortunate to have had Danny guide us in the right direction, his work ethic reflects who he is, and his dedication and commitment is something that will never be forgotten. He met us when my wife was pregnant and has watched our daughter grow and learn to walk in his show home! We were probably the most annoying clients, Danny showed up on my phone bill as one of my most contacted people... above my wife! But he always made us feel welcome to drop by, or call, or email. Regardless how many clients he had, or if he had prior commitments he always made us feel like we were a priority. Since they were let go, we've had an independent contractor evaluate the work and he was appalled. We've since spent thousands of dollars just to fix the original sub par work let alone continue with the renovations. My advice is to stay far, far away from this company.
