But....all that is irrelevant when you look at the purpose of the visit. Had an appointment with Dr M. After 45 mins in the waiting room, a Tech engaged and he covered the routine measurements, and then moved me in the exam room. Here he collected the additional routine, background info (5 more mins). And then I waited...for another 20 mins with no dr to show for. About 70 mins past my appointment time I walked out to the front desk and asked to pay what I owed, and to cancel the appointment. Dr. M came to the front escorting another patient. Front desk girls explained to her why I was in the front , and without any other explanation, or any other glance towards me, told them that I don't owe them any payment. And Dr M walked away in the back again without a second look. I would have much rather pay for a much needed appointment than wasting 70 mins waiting for a doctor. I was looking forward to this appointment after seeing all the 5* reviews. But now I saw that most of them are older than 2 years; maybe this office started focusing more on the business and lost track of caring for the patients.

The eyeglass showroom is absolutely stunning, offering a wide variety of shapes, colors, and styles, including an impressive selection of designer frames and sunglasses. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and never made me feel rushed or like he was in a hurry to move on to the next patient. I was especially pleased to learn that Dr. Fry is capable of performing nearly all of the services an ophthalmologist can--aside from surgery--which gave me great confidence in the level of care I was receiving. The entire office was spotless, modern, and equipped with the latest technology, all of which appeared to be in excellent condition. I will absolutely be recommending Premier Eye Care and Dr. Fry to anyone in search of an exceptional optometrist!

In Ohio, our son was…read moreterrified of going to the eye doctor, as they didn't explain things well and were impatient with him re: immense fear of eye dilation. Here, they provide an option of having a photo taken of eyes instead of dilation (at an extra cost). This was a welcomed alternative and saved us all a lot of time and tears, too. As someone who has never worn glasses, Dr. Best explained to me what she was doing and why, and answered any questions I had without a lot of medical jargon that would make me scratch my head in confusion. After the eye photos, she even had my son come over to look at the pics and ask her questions. He thought that was super cool. He (shockingly) told me as we left, "That was pretty fun, Mommy!" Whatttt?! We were seen very quickly and the appointment only lasted about 30 minutes, including picking out and purchasing new frames. Speaking of, there was a pretty big selection of youth frames, which was refreshing. They were all fairly affordable (most under $150) and ended up being fully covered by our insurance. During this call, an office staff member (Julie, I believe, but not sure) exhibited an astonishing level of rudeness and disrespect towards the insurance representative, who was simply trying to confirm my coverage. I've never encountered such arrogance from a healthcare provider's office staff, especially when dealing with a potential new patient. While I've since learned my insurance is accepted, the experience was so off-putting that I will not be seeking care there. It's a shame that Dr. Miller, who I'm sure is an excellent doctor, has staff members who create such a poor first impression.
