There was no pressure to sign up and everyone was very focused on the consultations and testing of my eyes to make sure I was a good candidate and they had good measurements too. When I had the procedure, it was super quick and Dr. Stewart was great about talking through the process of what was happening, how much longer each part would take, and that I was doing ok (it's normal to feel nervous!). Afterwards, he helps you up and shakes you hand and you take a picture with him. Then you're tested again by the opthamologist to make sure the LASIK corrected your eyes perfectly. Very diligent, thorough work from start to finish. I had had a consultation with another LASIK office a year before and did not get the same level of thoroughness that I received at TLA when it came to testing and measuring my eyes. I highly recommend this office because I had such a wonderful, pain-free experience, but most importantly a WELL-INFORMED experience. I knew everything that was about to happen, what to expect in post-recovery, what to do with my healing, etc. That's important to me and I think it was what made the experience such a pleasant one for me!

They are IN NETWORK on my insurance. They charged me $45 that day, and today I received a bill for $150 more to be paid. The total charge for a standard eye exam for contact lenses was $483.00!!!!!! FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY THREE!!! I have a $10 co-pay on an eye exam. And they have billed me $195. Thank goodness my insurance covered some of the charges. I can't imagine if I didn't have coverage! I must return to pick up my contacts and hopefully the new ones are correct. I can't imagine what I will be charged if I need an adjusted prescription! Once I am all set with contacts I will NEVER use this group again. My husband has also been a patient of this group in the past but will find a new provider for his exam this year. I Can See!!! After…read moredecades of wearing glasses and my old man eyes finally getting to the point of being absolutely done with buying glasses every year I decided to do something about it. I haven't known many people who have had eye surgery and I was slightly hesitant since they are my eyes after all. After reading the countless google reviews for Dr. Woolfson praising his work and the experience overall I decided it was time. I met first with Dr. Burns and some assistants and everyone was friendly and professional. I was super excited to get scheduled for a week or two later! Day of surgery I showed up with my eye drops and only a tiny bit of anxiety because again it's my eyes after all. The procedure really is only a couple minutes long. You don't really feel much other than a slight pressure and you see a bunch of lights. Once it's done it's hard to imagine why I waited so long to get it done! Tips: go home to a dark relaxing place so try all your eye drops right after surgery. An hour or so later your eyes want to rest and a nap is good. Eye drops are more important than you can imagine! After surgery you can already read! I haven't been able to read without glasses in decades! A week later you cannot believe you can read with no glasses, but distance is weird. A month later distance is now getting better and better. My eyes are so much better it's amazing. I mean literally amazing and such a change for my life! I definitely recommend seeing Dr. Woolfson and his associates!

But....all that is irrelevant when you look at the purpose of the visit. Had an appointment with Dr M. After 45 mins in the waiting room, a Tech engaged and he covered the routine measurements, and then moved me in the exam room. Here he collected the additional routine, background info (5 more mins). And then I waited...for another 20 mins with no dr to show for. About 70 mins past my appointment time I walked out to the front desk and asked to pay what I owed, and to cancel the appointment. Dr. M came to the front escorting another patient. Front desk girls explained to her why I was in the front , and without any other explanation, or any other glance towards me, told them that I don't owe them any payment. And Dr M walked away in the back again without a second look. I would have much rather pay for a much needed appointment than wasting 70 mins waiting for a doctor. I was looking forward to this appointment after seeing all the 5* reviews. But now I saw that most of them are older than 2 years; maybe this office started focusing more on the business and lost track of caring for the patients.

LASIK Eye Surgery is a game changer!…read more I've been a glasses and contacts wearer for over 25 years. I've been contemplating Lasik Eye Surgery for going on 10 years. The fear of having eye surgery always kept me from going through with Lasik. After many discussions with Donna, the Lasik Eye Coordinator I made the decision to go through with Lasik. The initial consult with Dr. Hudson eased all my fears of Lasik. She was very thorough with testing to ensure I was a good candidate for Lasik. When she told me I was a good candidate, that gave me the confidence I needed to do the surgery. The day of surgery went smoothly! Dr. Hudson walked me through the entire process during surgery. I was nervous but she calmed all my fears. Post op has been great as well. The day after surgery was my first appointment. I like the fact she truly takes care for her patients before, during, and after care. I still can't believe I no longer need glasses or contacts. My eye sight was 20/20 the day after surgery.
