I have been a patient of Dr. Chris Stelton for many years. I have had a full retina detachment,…read moremultiple retina tears, floaters/flashes and a Vitrectomy surgery. Dr Stelton has been at my side for my severe retina problems. He has saved my sight several times with a calm and focused plan. I could not have asked for a more capable Retina Surgeon. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Unfortunately, we had several issues with the care my family received at this location. My husband's prescription was not handled correctly, requiring him to return to have their mistake corrected. We were also charged again for the additional visit, which was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We also had a serious issue with my son's eye exam. He was given an incorrect prescription, and we had to take him to another location and pay for another examination and a new pair of glasses. The doctors at the second location were very concerned when they reviewed the prescription he had originally been given. After these experiences, I would not feel comfortable recommending this location to anyone. An eye exam and prescription need to be accurate, and mistakes of this nature can have a significant impact on a patient. I strongly encourage anyone considering this location to do their research and, if necessary, travel a little farther to find a provider they can feel confident in.

How often do we hear " Best in Town" yet very few ask the question 'better than what or whom'?…read more I did, following a bad experience which regrettably, cost me time, money and enjoyment of life. My eyes have always been monitored. The deterioration of my sight which not really noticed by me had been ongoing for years. Finally, I was told the time was right for cataract surgery. Time to look for the best Dr. available.....enter, Dr. Dana Weinkle of Palm Coast Eye Center, 3131 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Tel. 941-954-2020. On arriving at his office I knew immediately I was in the right place. I was greeted by pleasant, courteous staff, everyone of which was eager to make me feel comfortable. It quickly became obvious each patient is treated as an individual. Dr. Weinkle put my mind at rest (As an 82 year old I was apprehensive) and I found the entire Weinkle Team to be professional , dedicated and highly trained. Everything went like clockwork. My surgery is now over, my sight is excellent. It is hard to find the right words to describe the difference.....life changing even at my age! Thank you Dr. Weinkle. l congratulate you and your entire teams at both locations for a job well done....it's never too late to see a bright new world. James Fitzgerald, Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

When the Dr finally came in he asked me why I was in and that it had been 1 1/2 year since my last visit. They canceled my original appt. and I had to reschedule. I said i was there for my exam? At this point he was being very condescending. My vision was never checked. He told me it wasn't allergies just dry eye. and sent me on my way. guess I'll be finding a new eye doctor. Didn't appreciate the treatment I Received!!!
