After being told many times that, if I'm sick "I should call and come in to be seen as soon as possible" - I tried this week. I took 2 flights on Monday and caught a bug. As I am scheduled to fly to Paris, France next week I felt it was urgent to see someone to help get this under control, I called on Tuesday and left a message. on Wednesday, I called shortly after the office opened and left another messag. At 10:45, I called and left a message for one of the assistants. At 11:20 I drove to the office where I was told rather coldly that they could give me an appointment in 2 days, but no one could spare even 2 minutes to actually see me! Dr Cohen believed in solid patient service and care. The current corporate ownership could care less. I will no longer go to this office after at least 15 years of being a patient.

So much so I joke this doctor with got in trouble with the AMA because of it. But............ If you need care from this office in between routine follow-up visits, good luck. I have twice had matters come up in between appointments and this office was unprofessional- not returning phone calls as promised or not returning them by a certain time before you're seen by another doctor on the same health matter. My doctor promised to manage (in writing) the lovonox bridge I will need before upcoming surgery. He and his nurse totally dropped the ball. It will be managed by my internist instead. The office staff at my last visit to the office acted like 'what the hell are you doing here' when I said I had a 9 a.m. appointment to have my PT/INR measured. The unprofessional treatment I have gotten from this office, one of its doctors and his nurse, would not make me recommend them to other patients.
