For those that have bought and sold homes for other than merely profit or business you are quick to realize the unfortunate similarities of the real estate process and the all too common bleh experience of sitting down at a car dealership, with numbers of course being a good bit higher. Some of the pros of Remax: Larger company better marketing(at a cost $$) In touch with housing market and current trends Cons: Higher cost is not matched with better quality of service in all aspects. After the initial sit down analysis with Josh you are quickly handed off and a disconnect of buyer/seller and realtor is developed. With multiple people involved, things discussed with one, where often not conveyed to another(right hand not talking to left situation) In the end, left with the, "Just give me my commission" feeling. All in all, if you are looking for wham bam thank you ma'am experience, this is you place. If you are an actual "home" buyer and have the time, go with the smaller companies, it's more pleasurable in the long run. read more

Kristen Ross is the best real estate agent I've worked with. I was a real estate myself and she has gone above and beyond any agent who worked with me or that I've ever dealt with. I started working with her in September of 2021 thinking I would be moving to Redding in January 2022. She made time for me even when she was booked. She would see me after her appointments. She blocked out chunks of time to show me places and even took me back to the house I really liked 5 times without having an attitude about it, because I can be a little annoying. Then it turned out I couldn't move when I thought and she sent me all the new listings and would call me or text me periodically to see how I was doing. Finally, when I knew for sure I was ready to buy I told her I was coming to Redding to find a house to buy. I let her know the homes I wanted to see and she told me about one I hadn't seen. After taking me to a few homes, she took me to the one she told me about and that was it! That was the one I said! We went back to it a couple times and I told her I wanted to buy it. I had to go back to LA, but she negotiated some things for me which I am very happy about. There were some things that I needed to follow up on, but Kristen would text me and say I followed up on this and I will keep following up until it gets done. She has done this numerous times without my having to ask. If I have any issues speaking with the company I'm buying my house from, she calls them immediately to take care of it. I told her I really needed to know the measurements in my new house so I could plan to see what furniture I will keep and what I won't, and the owner wouldn't give me the blue prints so she measured it for me, and saved me a trip up there (8 hours). I couldn't believe she offered to do that for me. I am in escrow and she always checks on me to see how I'm doing because I get very anxious. She also knows I am a very, very picky person and she is picky too and if she sees something wrong or thinks something could be better, she handles that too, but without my asking. She knows me so well by just paying attention to me and I can't even begin to explain how amazing that is. She is very professional yet at the same time, she is very and personable. She not only helped me purchase my new home, but she has been a pleasure to interact with through this entire process. She is trustworthy and patient. She is a very good person all around, and I really like her and am so thankful for her help. I couldn't have asked for a better real estate agent. I would recommend her to anyone and I've already told everyone I know that she is a truly amazing real estate agent and they should her if they need to buy or sell. Worked with Eric Ivanitsky, the man was stellar, knew what he was talking about, and worked around my busy work schedule to tour some houses. Most of all, he was patient during showings, even though our 2 yr old was running around all over the place. Eric was always available to answer any questions by phone or text. In that time he had 1 open house, talked to me 0 times on the phone, until I called his office and told them I refused to speak with the office staff and demanded to talk with Josh. Then we only had a couple of conversations, one of them a terrible offer, where he informed me, if I would take a really low amount he could assure me a buyer (was he going to flip it?). Anyway, his follow through is terrible. He yelled at me on the phone and was very rude. The worst real estate agent I have ever worked with. My home in Redding sold in two weeks AFTER I gave it to another agent: Kori Cadorin of Venture Properties. As far as I can tell he is all smoke and mirrors. Great office, wonderful come on, lots of promises. And I'm not sure that he was concerned about my house selling at all. His first listing was for $275,000. Just like used car salesmen, i felt alot of empty price quotes, empty promises. Once contract signed by Josh your transferred to unknowledgeable office staff. They do not produce the knowledge/skills for competive edge for negotiations, offering their clients poor advice, often wrong advice. At times i felt they were actually representing the other side. Buyer vs. Seller. The original price quoted was soon pressured to be dropped once contract signed. His numbers are skewed. Example being: he sends out reviews To people he knows will praise him, and not offer it to the ones who will not. Out for commission is the bottom line without regards to buyer/seller.
