We recently ordered the casket spray for Louis's service from Gregory's Floral & Gifts, and I…read morecannot say enough good things about them. Louis passed unexpectedly, and it happened right after my mom had open heart surgery -- flowers were the last thing on our minds. But Gregory's made the entire process so fast and stress-free. We placed the order completely online, never even had to call, and they delivered exactly within the window we provided. The spray itself was absolutely gorgeous. The flowers were so beautiful and fresh that many of us were able to take home bouquets to remember Louis by. The ribbon was stunning and such high quality, too. 10/10 would recommend Gregory's Floral for any flower needs.

Actual arrangements look much more sparse than in photos. Owner claims he uses a "formula" to…read moreprovide exactly the amount of blooms per arrangement. Apparently the photos show a flat view with every bloom visible from the front, which I find deceptive at best. But worse is that the holiday arrangements wilted so quickly and I was embarrassed when I actually saw what cost me hundreds of dollars in my in-laws home. Second year in a row this has happened, no more "benefit of the doubt" for this business.

Stopped by with my family for a wonderful time. We were gathering for a family reunion of types and…read moresomeone suggested that we all get together at MountainRose. It was an exceptionally brilliant idea. The place has a phenomenal staff (especially Opie). They were welcoming, personable and knowledgeable. They had a deep experience with wines that helped guide the experienced wine drinkers and an empathetic approach to those (aka, me) who were clueless. I (ahm, the inexperienced) were never intimidated or given the snob treatment. However, my brother who knows his way around a bottle or two (or at least actively tries to fake it) was given the appropriate insights to what he was drinking. Across the ten of us, we tried multiple different wines and they were all well liked. Many made their way home as people had to take some bottles home. You can tell that I'm an amateur because the whole "flight of wines" thing was new to me. It was brilliant to sample many different varieties in what I would call shooters to the great disappointment of my brother. Yeah, I told you he acted like he knew what he was doing. They also gave us a brief tour of the beautiful grounds as well as a look "behind the scenes". I would really recommend visiting in the fall and maybe seeing things in action. The drive is a bit "way back there", but I highly encourage you to take the trip. It's definitely worth it.

There isn't really a decent restaurant for 20+miles so this lack of dining leaves a lot to be desired. Simple coffee machines in the rooms would be huge. While attempting to eat at the restaurant, I was asked to move my table twice, and then was told they were out of what I ordered. Locals seem to get preference over guests at the hotel. The entire operation is poorly run, and lacks basics. Either do it right or shut it down.

We never saw the first person in the "restaurant" and breakfast was cereal. Goodness..... My research showed a full bar, however they lost their liquor license. Hopefully this will help someone if you are looking for the full experience or hand soap LOL, this is not for you.
