I am totally satisfied with the appraisal's that Joe Troise did on my 1990 ZR-1 Corvette and my 1965 modified Oldsmobile Cutlass Sport Coupe. Joe initially appraised my Olds in 2006 and I used his appraisal to establish a value to insure the car for. A few days before Christmas (2017) my insurance company informed me that I had to get new appraisals for both the Vette and Olds by February 18, 2018. I contacted Joe and told him about my problem and that I was unwilling to drive the cars during winter months. To my surprise he agreed to drive a 300+ mile round trip from his place to Covelo, CA. to do the appraisals. The cost of the appraisals was reasonable and fair. I believe that the appraisals accurately establish the value of both vehicles, and provide important detail documenting the condition and features of the cars. This is the best decision I could have made before I decided to buy a classical car advertised in Hemmings. I contacted Troise Automobile appraisals and discussed with Joe the concerns I had. It has been my experience that there is a large gap between what it is advertised and the reality I truly was ready to purchase a "recently frame up restoration" Austin Healey. It looked good but my decision to hire Joe was the best. The end result there were major issues and differences . I ended up passing the opportunity based on a very detailed description with photographs documenting the negatives that obviously were not part of the initial add. I recommend these services with no reservations to potential buyers if cars located in the Bay Area Extremely pleased with the dialogue as well as the report.
