When I came to the office everyone was so nice! Dr Gutentag did a couple of test to check to see if indeed I needed a root canal on a tooth that had a crown on it and I did. I found him to be one of the most compassionate and kind human beings and his explanation every step of the way made me feel so comfortable and not nervous at all. I felt no pain and he even asked me if I wanted to watch the procedure on a monitor and I said yes. I love that he took the time to explain what the procedure was about every step of the way. In a world with such technology and mechanical detached humans it was so great to feel like I was back in the 20th century with human beings.Highly recommend him!

His staff mirrors his attitude toward his patients; courteous and caring. Besides our twice annual checkup and cleaning; I've also had a number of procedures done by Dr. A, root canal, crowns, and other minor work. His reassuring demeanor brings comfort and confidence that our teeth are being cared for. Dr. A's staff tries to work around our schedule and strives to accommodate late changes. They had texted me to confirm the date and time of 6/20 at 10:20AM twice to which I responded confirming. As far as I was concerned this was my appointment time. The day of my appointment I was getting ready to leave when they called to ask if I was still coming for my appointment at 10AM.. to which I told them I thought it was at 10:20AM. She had told me that no, my appointment was at 10AM and she would have to check with the hygienist if they could still see me. During this time I double checked the written communication which did, in fact, say 10:20AM. When she came back on she said they could still see me to which I told her, well yes, seeing as my appointment is at 10:20AM and was confirmed to be so twice by your text confirmation system. She continue to argue that my appointment was for 10AM. I show up at the office and they ask me to come back to fill out paperwork (that I had already done the night before when their system sent it to me) and I had told her that they must have messed up because my appointment was at 10:20AM and proceeded to try to show her the texts. She did not want to see the texts and argued with me that my appointment was for 10AM and they had tried to call me the day before to confirm and let me know that they had to bump me up in the schedule. They had only called me ONCE and never said anything about changing my appointment time in the voicemail. I never once received an apology and was only met with snarky attitude so I told them to cancel my appointment and left. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect to a FIRST TIME patient was very distasteful and I would never recommend them based on that alone. My advice to them is to get organized and improve upon their bedside manner with patients. Two stars only because I never saw a dentist and cannot speak to their expertise or skill.

This is 100% not true, I'm a aspiring Hare Krsna devotee and we practice tolerance and never upset anyone. I was compassionate and she was not understanding of my unique situation and kept telling me the same stuff like a robot. She wanted me to come in for a 15 min appointment when I live 3000 miles away and was not compassionate, kind, or understanding or the situation. Today My father called me and told me the Dr Shecklian called him and said I was rude which is an exaggerated tale, and I really wish I had the call recorded. This is not normal behavior for a grown women working in a dentist office. I talk to people all day long from around the world and rarly have any problems with anyone. Anyone who knows me, Knows I'm beyond reasonable and never rude or judgmental to anyone but the way this women dealt with me was not polite and I would never hire someone who can't communicate with customers. I run over ten companies and rarely have problems with anyone and when I do I immediately resolve them though empathy and a loving heart.
