This guy services Center Square area for his company, he's been to my house before but I forgot he worked for Phillips, otherwise, I would not have called them...I did not care for him the first time he came over. He seems lackadaisical, unconcerned and has a questionable work ethic. He parked his vehicle around the corner when there was ample parking in front of my house, he took his time walking back and forth to his vehicle. He charged me for 60 minutes of his time to do what in my opinion, should have taken 30 min. He must have spent 30 minutes in his truck I guess because he only spent about 30 MAX in my house. His work was ok, I had to ask him to tighten the door handles after he changed the main entrance door lock cylinder, which seems to me he would have done so without being asked. I won't be calling this company again, not if this guy is their representative I have no confidence in him. The bill included: SCR $200, for which he wrote "plus labor for outer door mortise lock..." (he did not provide a break-out of what he spent his time doing); He then listed "Change combination Lock cylinder $20.00", "Progressive Split Spindle $18.92" plus 8% in taxes; the total invoice was $258.03. I feel like the work he did could have been done faster and far less expensive. I'll call another company the next time.

These guys are the real deal…read more I have my security system managed by a bigger (but not better) competitor in the area and have had nothing but trouble. For months, I was dealing with a zone that was suffering from voltage spikes and producing false alarms left and right. I called my monitoring company to do repairs. First, they sent someone out to replace a contact (even though that was clearly not the issue) and billed me for hours of troubleshooting, then I was stuck calling back in countless times trying to reach the "right" person to resolve my issue - all while having 2 to 3 false alarms per day! Finally, I got fed up and called Catskill Security Systems. I called them and - boom - got a service appointment the very next day. Joe came out and diagnosed my rather complex issue with ease. After an hour or so, my system was back online and not a false alarm since. Thank you Joe!! I can't emphasize enough just how much more knowledgeable and professional this team is compared to other security companies in the area. I have a background in electronics and software engineering, so it's hard to bullshit someone like me when it comes to fixing low voltage circuits. I am always impressed and satisfied by the skills and knowledge that this company has. Going forward, I won't trust my security system with anyone other than Catskill Security Systems!

Where do I start? From the beginning have had nothing but issues and mis-representation. I had…read moresomeone come out about a year and a half to get the ADT deal with Ring bell, window alarm and inside camera for free but when the man came he said he couldn't give us that deal because he didn't work for ADT he was just another company that connects it. When I called ADT to cancel them and go directly to ADT they told me they wouldn't be able to cancel them and start a contract with me because they would be dishonoring them contract with the company. Well then I had to replace my transformer to my bell because the man neglected to tell me what the wattage should. That cost me for a contractor to do that. Ever since we got the bell it has said slow connection even after I upped my speed of internet. Now it records nothing moving but says it detected motion. From the beginning it would only record for 30 seconds at a time and when I finally got through with ADT supervisor he said there is nothing they can do about it. Only records for 30 seconds at a time. So if someone breaks into my house I will have 30 of time to identify their face. The camera inside my house is worthless and doesn't record at all. You really should stay away from ADT. Not an honest or worthy hone protection company at all. I only gave them one star because I couldn't give them a zero star. Find another alarm company. It's best for your future safety.

Mind you, we were paying a monthly service fee for any services that were needed. After fulfilling our side of the 2 year contract, we called to cancel. We were told there would be no kore charges and then the next month my card was charged. Called ADT again and was told the funds would be refunded to my card. Here we are almost 3 weeks later and still no refund. Lesson learned for me will hopefully help someone in the future when they think about doing business with ADT. Don't do business with ADT. Stick to the ring or blink cameras, they work 1000% better and don't cost nearly as much.

I just moved to Saratoga. This morning, as I came back from a weekend away, I was thinking "gee, I…read moreought to hide a key somewhere, in case I get locked out." We'll, as we're unpacking the car, one of my kids pulled the door shut, and poof, we were locked out! I went across the street to a neighbor's, and she got out the phone book. It was lunchtime, and I told them what happened. They said they could have somebody there in 20 minutes, perhaps. My son and I sat on the porch, and their truck drove up in under 10 minutes. They were not able to open my door lock, so they had to drill out the old lock cylinder and replace it. They told me they had a minimum fee for a lock out and as he was drilling, I was thinking - this will cost me extra. He had replaced the lock in under 20 minutes, and even gave me 4 keys for my new lock and then charged me just their minimum. I would definitely recommend them anytime you need a locksmith.

The locksmith at Joseph Mangione was able to get two broken keys out of the Thule rooftop carrier…read more He worked on the carrier, while it was on top of the car; got the keys out, and made us some new ones. This was far less frustrating and even less expensive then trying to replace the Thule lock unit ourselves. Thank you!
