FYI- No longer accepting patients with MassHealth apparently…read more Picked up my son early from school to drive 30 minutes to find out they had actually canceled my son's appointment without telling me because apparently they haven't been getting paid from MassHealth "since January". While checking in, they kept spelling my son's name wrong, and when I spelled it again I got attitude, I wasn't trying to be rude, I have a complicated spelling last name. I told them I had been seeing a dentist and hadn't been having any problems and they told me "well they haven't been getting paid," I said, "I don't think so," and then the receptionist said "well you do you." Honesty, I would have laughed had it actually registered in real time. I had asked why no one had told me about this when I called the week prior to RESCHEDULE the appointment to THIS DAY - and they said "we just got the email last Friday," okay, so 7 days ago? Also, if they hadn't been getting paid since January (it's currently May), why are we just now hearing about this? We had also been there since January. So, we took some time to call some other dental offices in Massachusetts and none that we called were having issues with MassHealth. I highly recommend A Mother's Touch Pediatric Dentistry in Fitchburg - they are accepting Mass Health. We also did research to find that Dental offices had to submit new applications by January to receive payments from MassHealth, so hopefully someone's taking care of that over there. Honestly though, an "I'm sorry, someone should have called you" would have gone a long way. Just because we're on Mass Health it does not mean we are uneducated or our time isn't valuable.

He is incredibly thoughtful (meaning, he really *thinks* about his patients' issues) and thorough, and does genuinely seem to care about his patients. Plus he and his wife Leah (the hygienist) take care of many animals, including the strays in their neighborhood. Wish I could leave higher than 5-stars; they are the best.

The hygienist seems to really love her work -- she's always prepared, very professional, and always tells me about some new technique or technology she's interested in.. The dentist (her husband) is also a professional: he always comes in to look over the x-rays and compare the history, and genuinely seems concerned. My new dentist has examined the work and determined that the work was poor. They did not provide enough surface area for the fillings and the result is that they fall out often. My grandmother has had a similar experience with fillings falling out from this practice so it's not just me. Be aware of this practice. They will try to give you more fillings than you need, and those fillings will fall out within one or two years.

Been going here since 2003. The office staff is horrible…read more Some advice make sure you watch your treatment plans and ALWAYS get your dental explanation of benefits before you pay anything. If you can get the amount you will pay after your dental insurance pays and do this before the procedure. It will make your life easier. Make sure the Office has the correct amount of deductible for your dental insurance. Basically you have to be your own book keeper and stay on top of EVERYTHING. As kind as I can say this. The girls are nice in the office but the billing and treatment plans with the insurance is AWFUl. To me they don't do their job or they are bad at their job. We are looking for a new dentist and its to bad. We absolutely Like all the Dr's and Hygienist. Reason for leaving,I do not want to be doing their office work. I'm glad I don't work full-time because if I did, none of this would have been taken care of because of not having the time. If you go here make sure you know what you are paying for.
