I would call the Dr.s office and it would go to voicemail and I would never hear back. I called quite a few times. I figured they closed or moved. I felt very betrayed at the time. I had to see someone else and then they moved. I recently went on Yelp to find a new doctor and saw that Dr. Chikkala was still at the same place!?? WT? I left another message, again, no response! I drove over there today and only the nurse was there. I told her about all this and said she would have someone get back to me. So Dr. Chikkala's husband (who runs the front) Just now called me. He was very rude to me. He said that because it had been almost 2 years that she was no longer my doctor, (well of course she wasn't). I wanted to go back to see her. He wanted to go round and round about when he "said" he called me back a long time ago and it was ME that never responded. LOL really? I DID call, MANY MANY Times! No one ever got back to me. Very irresponsible for a doctor's office. So, I said I would like to get in to see her. Then he tells me that I have to find another doctor because she won't have any information from the last 2 years?? Well, they can get that information from the last group I was at. He proceeded to then just make up stuff and it got ridiculous. He made no sense, I realized he was just being an ass. She is thorough and proactive with her healthcare approach. She also stays current on the healthcare industry to ensure you get the best care and most current protocols based on ethnicity where relevant. This sets her FAR apart from other physicians in the area. I would drive a million miles to see Dr. Supkay. Setting up appts, request of refills, insurance is all an ease due to the excellent attentional to detail & communication. They also have an amazing patient portal which makes communication with Dr Supkay & her nurse very easy. You can also make refill requests & get lab results from the portal. I absolutely LOVE that Dr Supkay does NOT keep your lab results hostage. As soon as CPL completes them, Dr Supkay allows us to see them. And she follows up to discuss of course. When I call for an appointment, I usually can get in within a few days, and if it is urgent, sometimes that same day. Now that does not include annual exams as they save appointment times for more urgent matters. Annual exams are usually scheduled a couple of weeks out and sometimes a little longer at year's end when everyone is trying to get in!! I really don't know what I'm going to do if she ever decides to move or retire. I love the personable experience and the swiftness with which they can fit me in when necessary. Sometimes if I call early in the morning I'm able to get in the same day when it's important. I go multiple times a year for allergy shots, bloodwork for thyroid medication, blood pressure checks, the occasional cold, flu, and just about everything else. When it's necessary, she refers me to a specialist. I cannot give this office enough stars!
